We went to a RUSH concert last month at US Airways Center for our anniversary. At the last minute…read morewe decided to price a car and driver to get us to the show. Rhonda was excellent at arranging a driver and nice car for the two of us with a short notice. The price was moderate and fair enough for having a reliable, smooth, clean and private car with a driver who would get us safely home after drinking a bit at the show. We got lucky to get a smaller sedan for the lower price than a LIMO and we got a very cool man named "Jack" who safely got us to our concert destination in Phoenix from remote Wilhoit. Our pickup and drop off location puts us on the remote two lane highways via Wickenburg for the drive to Phoenix. We spent three hours with Jack and we had the smaller sedan with no privacy. We had the larger sedan that stretched with privacy and shut off from the driver the last time we took a ride with Executive Transportation and the ride was pretty quiet and seemed longer. Both drivers were professional both cars were nice and we enjoyed our rides the two times we've used this company. Must say that we will order a smaller sedan and ask for "Jack" when we take our next ride into PHX for a event or show! We had great convo, the ride seemed to go by fast heading to the concert and the ride back to our place felt comfortable resting/sleeping most the way. We really felt at ease on the long stretch through the desert with Jack who also spoiled us with several stops along the way for the restroom and to grab some munchies and drinks. There have been some road changes and new areas of highways including ROUNDABOUTS built so Jack was even more valuable to us as a couple of Cali Kids trekking off to a out of state concert. We even were in territory that a GPS wont even show yet! Right when Jack had met us he handed each of us a card with his cellular number. While in the show Jack phoned to say WHERE he would be to pick us up and he had it all planned pretty well considering we were in a crowd in the HEAT OF THE DESERT! This driver NEVER MADE A WRONG TURN or if he did - we sure didn't know!! ALSO, a special note, the next day our phone rang and it was Rhonda saying we had to pay more. There was a small discrepancy about charging $55 additional for an extra 1/2 hour of overage and a parking fee! After we explained our situation to Rhonda and reviewing what we had agreed to the prior day before we arranged for the vehicle, she did listen! Our bill did NOT change and should not have changed from our original quote and we do appreciate that management took our reasons to not be charged additional into consideration. The ride was priced properly and fair and we had even gone above/beyond the gratuity that was PRE CHARGED giving our driver a decent cash tip. There was no legitimate reason to pop the parking and another 1/2 hour onto our bill once we reviewed the TIMELINE and LOCATIONS and the drivers personal CHOICE to park and have us walk far and several floors which was FINE by us! The 1/2 hour didn't exist and the $20.00 for parking was NEVER mentioned and was NOT part of the original quote/agreement. Communication is vital now and we do speak up when we believe we are being charged inappropriately or getting wrong product or service and not all know how to respond to a customer who tries to reasonably communicate. We had a GREAT time and the ride added to our good memories. Thank you to Executive Transportation for keeping it all sweet! You did the right thing to continue to please a good paying customer and did NOT break your agreement after we all reviewed the situation. We will continue using and referring your company to those we know.

I'm not sure why the Yelp page states Arcosanti is closed. We were just there and is open and…read moreoperating. Clearly what the original architect had in mind many years ago never came to fruition as it really hasn't changed in years. Is appears to be a small artist community but we didn't see anything going on at the moment so couldn't tell if it id still active or they make everything south in Scottsdale at Cosanti. There is a gift shop where you can watch a brief video on the history and learn about their wind chime creations. Personally I've received many of the wind chimes over the last 20 years for housewarmings or Christmas gifts. Each is unique. The greeter in the gift shop was friendly and stated there is a tour available as well. We didn't have time for the tour but purchased a couple of small gifts. He suggested visiting the Scottsdale location as well which is called Cosanti. I had no idea it was located in Scott's well. Will check it out.

70s vision for communal living by architect Paolo Soleri, this is on the way from Phoenix to Sedona…read moreand worth a stop if you are into architecture and ecology, you'll see Soleri's unique "arcology" vision here which is a fusion of both. We signed up for the tour and yes the dirt road is rough leading to Arcosanti, our tour guide mentioned a future expansion in the living area but in order to keep building the road has to be paved, hopefully it's better in the future. The behind the scenes tour participants was twice as large as they normally have so at times it was hard to see and hear though our guide tried their best. We loved hearing about the different spaces and seeing what was hand made by volunteers though we enjoyed the more intimate feel of Cosanti more. The gift shop is one staircase above the cafe and it's where the tour meets. There is better bell selection at Cosanti If that's what you are shopping for but Arcosanti has more hand-made knick knacks by residents, there is also a nice selection of books about Soleri and Arcosanti. You can stay the night here and get a good view of the stars and a more intimate experience, we would do this next time. The architecture and vibe would make it worth it!
