As he was giving me tips to make the pholourie, he thought I was from Trinidad because of the way I spoke. I get that from people sometimes, but when I speak to Caribbean people, the island accent does come out. I ended up not finding the Persian items I was looking for, but that's ok, instead I got a Turkish item. They also serve food at the store, which is nice because after walking along the aisles of food items, you start craving a Middle Eastern treat. I saw a vertically roasted meat and I knew what I wanted, but i didn't see a menu and when I was asked what I wanted, I wasn't sure if they were serving Gyro, Doner, or Shawarma, and not wanting to offend anyone, I asked for a meat wrap.
