(Just to note, we had already reached out to several local contractors, but none gave us the confidence to move forward. We always had lingering doubts--whether it was about pricing, professionalism, or trustworthiness.) Javier, the owner, quickly arranged an in-person visit to check out our yard. He shared timelines, and pricing possibilities with us. He also collaborates with a landscape designer, Charlene Brum (www.brumlandscape.design.com). Working with Charlene was such a smooth and stress-free experience (everything I needed!). She created CAD plans to scale, which really eased my worries, confusion and all the unknown. Charlene was incredibly patient, clear in her communication, and so friendly. It honestly felt like talking to a friend who was just as excited as I was to help with my yard. Once the work started, there was no stopping the team! Javier has a fantastic crew that works hard and cohesively. Fernando, who led our project onsite, was very respectful and always took the time to make sure I understood his answers whenever I had questions. It was also heartwarming to see Fernando and crew mentoring a young adult on the team, teaching him about the trade and safety. My husband and I were consistently impressed with the daily progress, especially since some of my neighbors had shared less-than-ideal experiences with their own yard projects. I'm so relieved to say that our experience was nothing like that--ours was smooth! Really can't recommend them enough and had such a great experience working with Edgar and his small, experienced team. We requested multiple quotes from small and large landscaping companies before going with Edgar and Endless Summer. We chose Endleess Summer because Edgar was easy to work with, provided transparent pricing (and was one of the lower bids, approx $1,800 less than some of the larger companies that leverage subcontractors), worked up a contract and guaranteed the irrigation updates and sod for several months, and Edgar, the main contractor, either personally did the work or oversaw the work himself with his two longtime partners, which ensured everything we discussed was executed properly and timely. They are fully bonded and insured and beyond that basic requirement they always left the worksite extremely tidy at the end of each day which we appreciate, and cleaned the area thoroughly at the end of the job. The work was done in less than three days which involved turning three inches of soil, installing gopher wire, redoing some of our older pipes and valves, installing sod, new sprinkler heads, edging, weed cloth, drip lines and a few of our drought tolerant plants in the very front. Edgar also came back a few times to ensure everything was growing in well and provided detailed instructions to ensure the sod came in well, it's now been two months and everything is flourishing. As an added bonus, Edgar recommended a couple local nurseries we would have never found without his help, JC nurseries in particular, with locations in Gilroy and San Martin, is a wonderful gem with by far the healthiest decorative grasses and shrubs we've found and super competitive prices, offering free or low cost local delivery. Our kids and pup love our lush front lawn and the neighbors definitely appreciate the upgrade too. We will look forward to working with Edgar again when it's time to upgrade our property line fence and landscape the back! I use yelp but there are also some great photos of their work on Google and they provide free in person estimated for the South Bay Area.

Long overdue review…read more After I completed my retaining wall in our backyard, it was time to move onto finishing the yard with full pavers and artificial turf. I met with a few different contractors, and after meeting Jose and his team, I went with Simancas Landscaping and was very happy with the decision. I actually created the plan myself for the backyard, and reviewed it with Jose and it came out exactly as I had hoped! I did all the landscaping myself, but I am sure that his team could've also done that as well. We also decided to pave over our concrete California Room to make everything cohesive, and the finished product came out better than expected. Jose was very communicative throughout the project, and when problems arose, we worked together to move past them. I would definitely recommend Simancas for paver and artificial turf installation!
