Another company working under a different name sold "vacation memberships" for many thousands of dollars. It was a scam. Now, they've mysteriously disappeared, and this other business has, apparently, taken over the "Welcome Center" I have an uncomfortable feeling they are connected somehow. Please beware when going to any presentation. There is no reason to pay money upfront for a "membership" or anything like that. SCAM Got a call from this number: 386-900-2151. Person says: "You have been selected as a winner for a vacation trip." He provides info and then says his manager will call me back with the gift claim number. Unknown number calls: "This is Bruce William, senior manager, from Welcome Center." He provides info including the address for the Welcome Center: 100 E Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL. He provided a Gift claim #: TSR492. At this time I told the guy that he was in violation of the do not call list, to take me off his list, and that I'd be filing a complaint. He hung up. I looked up the address and found Premium Destinations, Inc. so I called them at (386) 756-3422. Lady answered "Member Services". I explained to her what happened and how I'm on the do not call list and how I've never (nor has my wife) filled out any application or coupon for a vacation and that they were in violation of the do not call list. I said to take me off your list and that I'd be filing a complaint. She hung up. I've filed a complaint with the FTC, BBB, and I'm posting this on Yelp and Google Maps. read more

In September 2019 I attend the Jacksonville Fall Home and Patio Show. I, like thousands of other people entered the prize kiosk with my ticket number, believing something good could come out of it with little hope but all in good fun. I received a phone call on October 16, with a voice mail that I had won a prize and needed to call back. So I did, however we played phone tag for a few days before finally making contact. Note: The voicemail sounded very sketchy but I didn't think much of it. I had won two free round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S. with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska, no big deal. I was excited, this was amazing news. The representative named "Canvas" or "Kansas" it was hard to tell, explained to me that we only had a short amount of time left that I could claim my prize. And my significant other had to be present with me as well. I have a small child and therefore I can't drop everything to drive over an hour to watch a "video" they claimed I needed to watch when it's clearly expressed that children aren't allowed. I felt pushed, and backed into a corner to make a decision right on the spot. I asked for the address of business so I could determine how long it would take and she refused to provide that to me stating they can't be "bombarded with people, we have to make reservations." I get it, businesses have certain way to do things. But I still felt pushed, she then proceeded to label me as a "grandmother" due to my small child and how I mentioned that I don't have him one night during the week. How in the world does that label me, a 27 year old single parent a grandmother is puzzling and offensive. I asked if I could call her back after speaking to my significant other and she said that I could instead put her on hold while I call him. Again, rude. She doesn't know my partner and his work schedule or even seemed to care. All they cared about was getting us in that door at approximately 5:15 p.m. to watch some 90 minute travel video. My partner was in the middle of a mechanical issue at work when I called him and he was unsure about the ordeal and didn't like the vague details but agreed. But after researching this company and phone number it's a total scam. Don't waste your time and block this number. People don't give away something for just nothing, and this company didn't even have my best interest in mind. I'll handle my own travel, and save myself the headache from dealing with false promises and underlying rules that aren't disclosed until they have you in tight spot again. A supervisor responded to the email I had sent them and apologized, and said they would tell their manager. I doubt they will change their ways. read more

Somehow stole my bank card info and tried to make charges, my bank froze the account now I have to wait for a new one in the mail.

Someone used this company to run my debit card for a $00.00 charge. Their name and Los Angeles was on the charge. Then very shortly after someone was using my debit card to charge up a storm at a Walmart in Texas. How someone got hold of my card info I have no idea, but they were "testing" it with the zero purchase through THIS COMPANY to make sure the card was active. I had never heard of this company before today. I hope the subsequent bad karma leaves who ever did this rotting in hell for all eternity. Drove all the way to Ormond, 42 miles. When we signed up for this we had our kids and the lady never said we couldnt bring them. We wasted 42 miles of gas, and they wanted us to leave our kids in a daycare with a strange man. We told them no and they said we couldnt participate. What a fraud. Im not trusting my 4 year old daughter with a strange man in a busy lobby. They should be mailing us the $50 visa cards for the scam. read more

My girlfriend and I were walking the beach at Ormond Beach and were approached by an older lady offering us a $125 prepaid Visa card to listen to a presentation for about 90+ minutes ... we have been on timeshare presentations and actually enjoy learning about these vacation clubs so we said why not ... the initial encounter was a 15-minute fact finding session with our sales rep, and then a very entertaining 45 minute power point presentation ... that was followed by a return to the table and the nitty gritty ... I was able to show him (and his supervisor) that what he was presenting over a 10-year span was overpriced for the 2-3 weeks I vacation each year ... would not break even until year 12 unless I vacationed 4-5 times per year ... even the reduced price/reduced benefit plan wasn't worth it -- UNLESS you were retired with lots of cash and free time to take advantage of the whole package. There was no real "hard sell" or embarrassment, we just didn't think it was of the right value for what we used. Just got a phone solicitation from these folks. The rep was a real fast talker. He wanted me to come collect my prize but was very vague about what the "catch" was. He just wanted me to drive up to Ormond and collect my prize and take a survey. I said, "I smell a rat," and he worked very hard to convince me to "come on down." I told him I would think about it and research his company before I committed and he hung up fast. Then, I got online and saw all of the bad info out there about this company. My husband and I entered into a membership agreement with Premium Destinations of Ormond Beach, FL on 02/08/14. We decided that it was too expensive because we have encountered unexpected family expenses. I called Premium Destinations on 02/10/14 and spoke with Rusty Randall 3 times that day. I explained why we were cancelling and was told that I had to send a certified letter requesting this in writing. I was also asked to return the membership book. Since we were flying back to Syracuse, NY on 02/10/14, I sent both a letter and the membership book by certified mail to Premium Destinations on 02/11/14 around 1:00 pm which was well within the 3 day period as stated in the Notice of Cancellation part of the Membership agreement. The Membership Agreement stated that: "If you cancel, the club will return, within 10 days of the date of which you give notice of cancellation, a total refund." Rusty Randall knew that we were cancelling. Furthermore, I sent a fax on 02/11/14 to Premium Destinations stating that the certified package containing the cancellation letter and the Membership Book had just been sent from the Post Office. In addition, I called Premium Destinations (on 02/11/14)and spoke with Stephanie to see if the fax had been received, and she verified that it had been received. Needless to say, the office of Premium Destinations was well informed by 02/11/14 of our intent of cancellation, and the actual certified package was received on 02/13/14 as per the signed return receipt. I called Premium Destinations on 02/24/14 around 7:00 pm and spoke to Stephanie. I told her that it had been over 10 days since the certified package had been received by Premium Destinations, and that my husband and I expected our refund. She told me that she needed to have a supervisor call me. I said that I expected to be contacted the very same evening. Needless to say, I received no such call. I then received the following email from Candy Barlow, Director of Operations: I looked into notes and saw your refund has been done and that it should appear in the next few days. I also saw where Kathy McCarty tried to call back and left a message. However, you can rest assure, that your refund has been done and your membership has been canceled. I apologize on Rusty behalf, he should have explained it takes up to 10 days for a refund to be processed, it does state that on the back of the membership agreement. I hope this helps. on our mini vacation, my husband and I were approached while our vehicle was moving, backing out of a parking spot. A Lady says if we go watch a video for about an hour even if we do not sign up we can get free gifts. 1. a weeks vacation all we pay is taxes, 2. 50,00 gift card, 3. 100.00 coupon for any restaurant of our choice. all we had to do was give her $20.00 to assure we would show up for the little movie & when we were done we would get our $20.00 back and the free gifts. no questions asked. so we paid her the $20.00 and showed up when we were asked to. once inside we see little kids are left with strangers (an employee) while parents go into the meeting because they are not allowed in. then we go into another room for the movie. (if mine were small I would have left then). the man then proceeds to tell us if we don't participate in the conversation he will just keep talking and keep up there all day! he thought he was a comedian...NOT!!! then as the guy is telling us all about his "awesome deal" we realized what was going on. when we told him we were not interested he then said we couldn't leave until we were signed out....what?!! I'm not in 5th grade I will leave when I want!!! we then go to the receptionist to collect the gifts that were promised,& get my $20.00. But you don't just get your cash back it is a gift card. which we have used. The meal coupons you have to go fill out info and sign up for a website to get them, then you can use them but you have to spend 50.00 to get the 25.00 off ( that may have been that one shop but we had 2 coupons & can only use 1 per month) remember we are on a mini vacation so we are there for 3 days.. and will not be able to use that 25.00. so now we are short 25 bucks. we haven't tried to book the vacation yet so not sure if that will work or not. they were very very pushy even after we said we were not interested. Went to a craft show over the weekend and was lured by a booth that had a game called Plinko..We played it & won $100 restaurant card, $50 gift card & 3 days & 2 nights in a motel. We had to pay $20 but had to go to a 90 minute seminar at 110 E. Granada Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL. We showed up at our scheduled time, showed our drivers license & just 'flash' them a credit card. They did not take any numbers from either one of them. We were given a paper to fill out. We didn't qualify to go to the seminar as we did not make $50,000 a year. They made it look like we were awful people, talking about us behind the counter to each other, giving us looks, & we basically felt very unwelcomed. We were told twice that we couldn't attend but we were given the $100 restaurant card ((which is the biggest joke ever)) we couldn't get the $50 gift card, & we did get the three day two night motel but you have to pay $15 to sign up and you only have 45 days to sign up. I just had a call from 386-675-0052 Rep's Name Bobby - stated I had been a lucky participant in a drawing I entered at the Home & Garden Show in my town recently. He reported: "well guess what you are a lucky winner of a choice of two opportunities: 1 - 2 airline tickets to fly anywhere in the US and 2 - was an 8 Day Carnival Cruise and a 'Dine-and-Go Card'". The only obligation for me to participate was that both my wife and I would pick up the prize of our choice; in person at their location in Ormond Beach, FL. I asked for the name of his group offering such a prize; he replied "Global". Using the Internet to search "Global in Ormond Beach - it returned nothing. I stated to Bobby after searching the internet for "Global in Ormond Beach FL" my research returned no results. Now the pressure begins to increase ...as he open his phone up to make a remark to others in his nearby; I overheard a number of other high pressuring voices as if they were on a similar phone call. He insisted their name was "Global" then he mentioned it could be under "Premium Destinations". The pressure continued to intensify ... remember if it's too good to be true ...it is!
