Speaking from experience, it probably WILL break down anyway so just have another place in mind and familiarize yourself with Small Claims if you do decide to go with them for any demented reason. Our truck broke down on the way to Miami and we ended up having to call a tow truck that took us into St. Lucie Automotive. They said they would call us and never did. We were constantly calling them to find out what was going on with our vehicle because days went by with no word from them. Every day they said it would be done, we would call to be sure and they'd push it back, this went on for 1.5 weeks. When it finally was ready, the shocking $1,800 bill came to us. Not only that, but our car was COVERED in oily stains from the men who worked on it... what the hell were they doing iNSIDE the car? I have no idea and the owner "Jeremy" stood by his men saying they would never do that. Then how do you explain the oil in our car? They also broke the nob on our AC and wouldn't admit to it. They said they just tested it out and that it must have been broken when they came in. BULL! We paid the outrageous prices for a broken water pump and headed back 2 hours away to our home in Orlando when our car overheated yet again and started shooting fluids everywhere. We took it into the nearest Toyota dealership who said it was the clutch that had issues that broke the water pump and caused the other issues that the oily St. Lucie guys missed in the first place. Then, St. Lucie Automotive installed our radiator hose in UPSIDE DOWN causing $1,800 MORE in damages to our truck! It took two days in the shop to fix but actually worked after coming out of the Toyota shop. I'm in the process of filing a Small Claims suit with St Lucie Automotive because Jeremy is such a jerk, he won't claim any responsibility and continues to argue and say it is impossible for him to do anything wrong, or his guys. He didn't care if they made our inside of our car oily, or broke an AC nob and of course it is just impossible for them to mistakes at their shop. Bull. I will never use that dealership EVER again and would not trust Jeremy as far as I could throw him. He was a total jerk over the phone before he even knew there was a problem, and their customer service is completely lacking. I walked into their office and asked if they had a restroom and the guy behind the desk barely looked up when he said, "How do I know, I don't work here." Stay away from this scam of a place. You're lucky if your car makes it off the lot.

My wife took her car there a while back for regular basic maintenance, check the tires and an oil change. The guy running this spot is named Jerry and he told her the price for the oil change and to rotate the tires. When she went to pick up the car later, Jerry told her that the alignment had to be done along with the shocks and the struts. Long story short the bill was almost $1500. She called me on the phone very upset. I went over there to speak to Jerry because neither of us had given him the approval to make any such repairs! We live in a fixed budget and our grand kids are coming to visit soon. When I tried to speak with Jerry he started arguing with me telling me that my wife had actually approved it. He said that maybe she doesn't remember now but that's a personal issue for her because maybe her memory isn't well? What the heck is he trying to say? It was a horrible experience and I'll never go back there again. I felt as if I'd been robbed and my wife is still upset about it. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS. They're a predatory business and Jerry is a nasty person.

It's not uncommon to here "you really don't need that," "this can wait until," or "we can get something that's just as good and it will save you a few bucks." I got a routine oil change no prior problems all of a sudden I started getting oil pressure problems, car stayed in shop more than three weeks. I got a tire rotation and balancing, out of four matched tires from time kingdom all of a sudden I have three matched and one not matched and bald. Additionally I took my car in for a leak of anti freeze from a tube, the correct fluid was not replaced (green instead of red or pink fluid). I could go on and on about problems and concerns but this is enough to start. If you audit their customers you will find the same complaints, you even hear her arguing with customers on the phone about they had problems with the car prior to repairs this is ongoing. They do fix problems but they cause other problems by exchanging parts from other cars. Oh yeah! after a wheel aliment and balance now I need ball bearings. They NEED to be investigated, they are crooks. One other major concern if you take your car in for repairs and you are having NO problems with your air how is it that now the center vent is not working. She has an excuse for everything. What I expected to be a routine oil change and tire pressure sensor replacement turned into rim…read moredamage and being sent home in an unsafe condition. I'm not a huge car or truck expert, but the shop looked decent from the street and the front desk staff were polite and able to squeeze me in on a Friday at 1 pm, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. When I returned to pick up my truck, I was told they had trouble removing my keyed locking lug nut and that it "snapped" during removal. I was then informed they didn't have a replacement lug that fit and that I would be fine driving home with only 5 out of 6 lug nuts. I was assured it was safe. Trying to stay calm and reasonable, I paid and went back to my truck. That's when I actually saw the damage. To remove the broken lug, they had completely bored it out, severely damaging the rim in the process. This was not minor scuffing--it was clear, permanent damage to my wheel. I sat in my truck for a moment because something didn't feel right. I turned it off, went back inside, and asked to see the broken lug nut. They handed it to me. When I explained that I was upset about the damage to my rim, I was brushed off and told I "won't see it," it "won't rust," and that I should just find replacement lugs online. No apology. No acknowledgment. No attempt to make it right. The entire interaction made it feel like, "Good luck--this is your problem now." What bothers me most is that I was never notified or asked for approval before they drilled out a lug nut and damaged my rim. That is someone's property, and the decision to cause visible damage should never be made without the customer's consent. While the oil change and tire sensor install were completed, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and responsible for damage I did not cause. I've attached photos showing the rim damage, and I also noticed light scratching around other lug holes as well. I know I don't have "brand new" rims or lugs, but it's all I have. I wanted to like this place, but I don't feel I was taken care of or treated the way a customer should be. This was my first and will be my only visit.
