Ok so I REALLY had to think about this one so I don't hurt anyone. I first called and spoke to a…read moreguy (the son of the owner), I think his name is Josh maybe? Anyway, my partner and I de used to try them out. I called first to make sure someone there k me ew how to cut blonde hair as it takes a special skill to make it smooth not choppy. My buddy has your normal brown hair but with a cowlick kind of at the crown. We were VERY specific at to the cuts we wanted. My buddy went first and omg I could have done a better job and HAVE in the past. He cut his bangs so he had short "Hitler" bangs and varying long and short hairs left. It looked absolutely horrible! Well then it was my turn. Mind you I reiterated the special talents required to cut blonde hair. Well Josh did a great job on coloring my gray hair so his coloring skills were spot on but his cutting skills were REAL bad!! He gouged out a portion of hair on the back of my neck and I could tell he was nervous the whole time he was cutting. Well it looked HORRIBLE! THANK GOODNESS HIS MOM ASKED TO TAP IN!!! I know he felt bad but rather than be appreciative of his mother lending a hand and thanking her, he looked very upset and embarrassed. His mom explained he had only got out of school two years ago. Honestly, in two years of cutting, a hair cutter should be better than that! It made me think, you can teach me how to paint a car but if it isn't my passion or I don't have a gift for it, I should do something else. AGAIN I COMPLIMENT HIS MOM FOR STEPPING IN AT THE END WHEN SHE SAW HOW HE WAS SENDING ME OUT THE DOOR. SHE ACTUALLY FIXED EVERYTHING AND I WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY CUT. She didn't have time to fix my buddy's or didn't notice but all he wanted to do was to get out of there, never to return. I still tipped $40 for both and I can only hope the tip went to the mother! I wanted to take my buddy back in to have her fix his hair which I'm sure the mother would have fixed it but he refused to step inside that salon again. He is STILL having to wear a hat to cover up his horrible cut. SO IF YOU GO THERE, HAVE THE MOTHER CUT YOUR HAIR ONLY!! SHE IS MORE TALENTED. ANYWAY, FOR THE MOM I would give 5 stars as it couldn't have been easy to repair all the choppy mistakes her son did but as a whole, it was a very bad experience, ie. The 2 star rating. Josh either needs to learn about the different textures of different types of hair and just be honest and say I can't do it. I think he needs more training with his mom before being released on the unsuspecting public.

To try to make a super…read morelong story a little shorter- I have been going to the same hair stylist for 10 - plus years and two weeks ago I had another hair appointment with my same hair stylist. She didn't do what I had asked for and then one week later tried to make it better and made it even worse.. I was very disappointed. I had reached out to a friend for help on who to go to and she referred me to Wendy at X2. I immediately blew Wendy's phone up (110% serious) explaining how upset I was and hoping she could fix it ASAP! She responded to me super quickly by saying "little bit of a situation there!! It's ok though no panicking, color can always be fixed!" I got lucky that she was able to fit me in at the END of her already long day and I showed up to her salon at 6pm and did not leave her chair until just before midnight!! (That's how much work she had to do). I showed up and she came up to me and said she could fix it and calmed me down. She was so welcoming and also made me a complimentary glass of champagne ‍! The salon is BEAUTIFUL! Super clean and comfortable. There are refreshments and snacks, They play great music which is always a plus! They have great products that they use on your hair and retail them so you can purchase anything you wanted. Everything smelled incredible, I literally wanted one of everything on the shelves!! Wendy went from trying to strip some of the color out first, she gave me an olaplex treatment, added another olaplex treatment to the color she mixed up, cut my hair, toned my hair and more. She had to save my hair from breaking and frying. Not only did she do that, but also WAY more!! (I will attach pictures to this post of before, during and after even though pictures do not do it justice!) Needless to say, I left Wendy's chair in tears because I was so ecstatic about the miracle she performed with my hair! I now have a new hair stylist who is a perfectionist and who really cares. She puts her heart and soul into what she does and it shows! Wendy will NOT let you leave her chair without making your hair exactly how you want it!!! I cannot thank her enough...
