We enjoy the serotonin boost we get from the photos of the activities and every time we check the cameras we get to witness the sweetness of the community built there. After having a less than great time with another daycare down the road, we moved both of our sons here. They were 1.5 and 3 at the time, and have since stayed on for another 3 years. We have continually had amazing teachers who work incredibly hard to give 1:1 attention to kids that have different personalities, learning styles, and education levels. There are separate rooms for all different age groups, and they are constantly refreshing stations and activities while staying core to a rigorous and well-researched curriculum. The teachers keep track of the progress of each kid not just personally but through a digital tool that makes for some really productive parent teacher conferences twice a year. I feel spoiled. They love volunteers. They encourage parent feedback. They do science and art and reading and fun summer activities. They aren't just good, they are constantly looking for ways to improve, stay close to parents, keep the staff happy, and the kids excelling. They have flexible plans for payment and even shuttle before and after care to the local elementaries. Did I mention Parent's Night Out once a month, where they take your kids for a few extra hours so you can get a date night, while your kids watch movies in pajamas? Group trips to the local apple orchard? Breakfast with Santa? Water fun days in the summer? Ongoing classroom science experiments? I don't even know how to capture all the amazing in one review.

Our son has attended RLC since he was 3. He is headed to Kindergarten this month...bittersweet…read morebecause we are going to miss everyone at RLC but he's so excited to ride the bus! Lol He's enjoyed RLC thoroughly and has developed so well as a result of attending. They always have so much going on to keep the kids excited and motivated. It's a great "small" setting compared to all these huge chain daycares/preschools where the children get lost in the mix. At RLC they know each & every child and make them feel important. The outdoor area is amazing & the kids get to go outside often which is great for them at this age. Can't wait to have our 2nd child attend! We've loved being a part of it!

It's very quickly you realize after that it's not going to be the case. Don't send your child here unless you want to be nit-picked to death. Our FIRST problem started with a stye my son got on his eye and she made me bother the doctor for 3 doctors notes for, all saying the exact same thing with different wording, she just likes to make you jump thru hoops for her own fun. Next was my son not being fond of the taste of her tap water, and us making a simple request to send him with bottled water instead to which she told us we would then no longer get all of our snacks and meals included (which we pay for in the HEFTY monthly tuition) over WATER. I'm sorry for wanting to make sure our child is hydrated. You will be bombarded by emails miles long. She likes her "rules" one of those being not to take "too long" to say goodbye to your child. And by her standards in and out in her own "5 minutes time" simply is still too much time. Even tho you have a list of things they expect you as the parent to do before you may leave, answer 10 covid questions, temperature check, wash hands, take off coat but don't dare take a minute to say goodbye to your emotional 4 year old before you leave for the day. Apparently coming from a loving home is a punishment. That was our final straw. Oh and enjoy constantly having her throw up removing you for any and every LITTLE thing. This woman makes mountains out of mole hills. I'm convinced she only wants to keep security deposits and that's why she literally makes you want to leave the place. On our last day she ran down former employees making insane accusations about them. She ran down past parents (to which I'm sure we have joined the club) and set me up to "feel bad for her" so that I would be quiet and let go a situation that should've never happened in the first place. don't even get me started on how she kept our belongings for two weeks after we left instead of giving them to us on our last day. Again making you jump through the most absurd hoops. So parents beware. She is short staffed, and seems to be running a day care not a preschool since her toddler teacher has now left. So glad to be off this roller coaster and in a much kinder, considerate and compassionate place!

The Mother Goose teaching method has really helped my kids flourish and be prepared for Junior Kindergarten. Most of all from the Director to the teachers each one cares for my kids like they are their own. Shot out to Mrs. George who is able to teach and work with different dynamics. My daughter beats to her own drum and Mrs. George didn't try to change that about her. She let her shine when she needed to and be apart of the class when she needed to. Love everything about TBPH!

I'm not sure why the previous post states that staffers are not allowed to talk to parents because I can't shut up and probably spend about 10 minutes each morning talking to both my kids teachers and find myself running late for work. Twice I have odd work hours and stopped in to see my kids on my lunch, spending at least 30 minutes there and find the whole staff to be very friendly and know me and my husband by name. My kids are greeted each morning with a smile. I love this place and feel confident that my children are getting care in a loving and nurturing environment! It may not have all the bells and whistles, but I am most concerned about the relationships and care they are giving. My daughter is well taken care of in the infant room, rocked to sleep at each nap, and given a lot of attention. She is feed exactly how I have asked and her diapers are always changed. I always see the care givers in this room on the floor playing and talking with the babies, they do not just manage the babies, but interact with them. My son comes home happy each day and tells me all about the fun stuff they did in his preK class. I love all the special projects they bring in for his class and tons of art projects. He is a smart kid and comes home each day with something new he has learned. I know at the facility is newer and many of the caregivers have been there since it opened, but when I toured the other, older one, down the street, some staff had been there for 8-15 years. Before moving, we were with a home daycare for 5 years and I was used to my kids being in a very small group setting with a ton of individual care. I was nervous about coming to a center, but I am so happy with this facility and look forward to being here for years to come.

I had overwhelming feelings of anxiety and guilt, because, as a mother, the last thing you would want to do is trust your perfect tiny human with strangers. Ms. Ebonee, Ms. Mari, and Ms. Sara F may not know it, but they helped me step by step to work through my anxiety and guilt. Every morning I was greeted with smiles, by the staff. At first, it was rough on both my daughter and I during drop off, but as time went on, she would smile and as Ms. Ebonee calls it, dog whistle when we arrived at school. Every day at pick up, I get details on how my baby's day went, and what her teachers were working on with her throughout the day. My daughter was slowly becoming more comfortable with her teachers and was able to open up more at school. This helped me be at ease. Sure, there are still times when I have mom guilt take over, and I pick my daughter up early from school to spend a little extra time with her. But, I trust her teachers and the care they have provided for my daughter has been outstanding. Gilden Wood's Commerce is safe, reliable, and the hours work well for me. Another thing that I love about this school is that there is an app and they provide, in real time, updates on meals, naps, diaper changing, and they even send pictures and videos of my little one doing different activities. You can also send messages to the teachers and they are able to respond. There are also cameras in the classrooms and in the infant napping area, so I can check in at any time. I appreciate everyone who has been apart of providing care for my daughter this entire time, thank you!

It has been more than a couple of months since I removed my son from this daycare center, so I have…read moretaken a significant amount of time to gather my thoughts and concerns to write this review. When seeking a center for my 2-year old son I made a point to read the reviews for each center I considered. For that reason, I wanted to make sure that I wrote a clear review of my family's experience at this daycare center. First, let me begin with strongly cautioning any black families from trusting your little ones in their care. I say this because the last straw that caused me to remove my son was him being blatantly discriminated against and profiled by the teacher and I feel like the center staff as well. The first red flags were the teachers changing almost daily. My son had attended the daycare center for three weeks before I met his lead teacher. Then she was out for months due to a medical leave. My son only attended the center for 6 months and this was his first daycare center experience. Within the first 3 months he was hurt on the playground 3 times. After about the first month or two, I begin to receive behavioral incident notices at least twice per week and he only attended the center 3 days per week. At times they would call me to tell me about his behavior but neglect to mention to me that he had gotten hurt physically. These 'ouchies' were not simply scratches or scrapes that kids get all the time. Twice it was a split fingernail and then a busted limp. It happened so often that I made a point to do my best to pick him up before his teachers left for the day. I begin to feel this way because when I would pick him up he would be with other teachers that seemed really young and inexperienced. That brings me to another major issue - they were so short staffed at times that they would message parents on the morning of saying that they were shorthanded and were seeking volunteers to keep their child at home for the day. Then that escalated to messages/notifications on Fridays stating that specific classrooms would be closed on specific days due to their lack of staff. I met with the Director - Liz and her assistant Tori to establish a behavioral plan for my son. During that meeting, I expressed my concern that it seemed as if they were holding my 2-year-old to a higher standard than even their staff. I was told that they would make sure that the forgetting to notify me that he had gotten hurt would stop. Liz also assured me that he would not transition to a new class without notifying me. Within two weeks that is exactly what happened, also within a week of that meeting - Liz announced that she was leaving the center. Shortly after that we received a notice that both of his original teachers would no longer be working there. The notice came as a huge surprise. One day, I arrived to drop him off and was told that he would be visiting a different class. Next day they just moved him to the next class. In the meantime, when I would drop him off the teacher of the new class would call them to say that she was over ratio. This was of course concerning to me, so I waited until they adjusted the number of students before I left. On the last day, I brought him in and stayed for about 15 minutes to observe him in class and also speak with the teacher. She told me that he was a good boy and that most of the time his behavior was related to him defending his friends. When I got there I was given two incident reports - one due to his behavior and the other because he had fallen and gotten hurt the day before. Of course, this was frustrating. Then I read the behavioral incident. The teacher had written very disturbing things about my 2-year-old son. This was very hurtful and extremely contradictory to what we discussed in person. I told the regional director what happened. She apologized and told me that they would address the report with the teacher and agreed that the teacher should not have written the report in that manner. She also told me that they were in the process of onboarding a more experienced& appropriate teacher. I removed my son that following week. I just could not trust that he was not being mistreated. Parents, don't be fooled by the very nice facility. This center is not a stable, organized center that will be safe for your little ones.

After seeing this I canceled my work day and went back in to get him and there wasn't one person who even attempted to speak to me about my concerns when I left. On my initial visit, I'd told this school that my son had a speech delay before sending him here and they told me he would be supported and the teachers would be attentive and that absolutely was not true. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone that is interested in their child's overall safety and wellbeing.
