It was the best experience for my child ! She is now a child model and actor and this was the perfect start for her . This program helped her learn how to memorize and act out monologues and commercials. It taught me , her mother most all of the ins and outs of the industry and the right questions to ask when signing with an agent ! The "cattle call" we attended in Phoenix, AZ was "entertaining." Now for the negatives, because they far outweighed the positives. 1) After a long period of time waiting for all of the other people to arrive, there was a lengthy video and lecture by the CEO. This was a children's audition on a school night. The actual audition process started rather late due to the lecturing about manners and work ethics...not what we signed up for. 2) The CEO had the nerve to say that he can tell which kids are from dysfunctional families when he first meets kids...just by looking at their faces. He essentially expressed that the company weeds out kids from dysfunctional families. 3) The CEO had the further audacity to say that talented kids cannot make it in the industry if they don't believe in god...and, in so many words, that the company would not work with people who aren't believers. 4) He was insulting to people who did not sit still and show respect towards him during the presentation. Mind you, the majority of the adults were being respectful and listening. Also, most of the older kids were too. The younger kids, however, found it difficult to sit still and not make noise...which should be expected when dealing with younger kids. And it sure didn't help that this event went on and on and on before the audition part even took place. 5) The CEO was dynamic and vibrant, and certainly entertaining, but he was full of himself and condescending. We went to the "screening". It was fun. Kids thought it was fun too. Both my kids were "invited" back. It is very well run - Professional to the point that I would describe it as "slick". To be clear, this is NOT a casting session, although it is made to feel like one - you are made to feel like your child has been "chosen". This is a sales pitch for an intensive (arts) training week/vacation for kids, that ends with a showcase at the end of the week. It is very expensive: $3-$9k USD per child, per week. Not including travel and hotel expenses. If you have 2 kids (like I do), they expect you to make a (north of) $20k USD decision/commitment on the spot... High pressure, kind of like buying a time-share. They have been doing this (under various names) for about a decade, and only have a handful of kids that you can somewhat recognize - Probably more of a coincidence (IMHO). They name drop peole like Arianna Grande and Brad Pitt, but they are no way affiliated. If you read the fine print, they make no guarantees or commitment to you. In my opinion, if you are serious about your kid acting/singing, hire a real coach/school and agent (on retainer), and skip the expensive family vacation in Disney. It will probably be a more effective use of your time and money. read more

It was a memorable experience. *below from 2015 review that was not posted* We just completed the Premier Event at Disney Swan and Dolphin. If you are reading this, you likely met Michael or one of his staff, or heard about auditions on the radio. This man has put together a program to help your kids get exposure, training and experience in the entertainment industry. If you are lucky enough to be selected for the Orlando event, do not hesitate. Our daughter was able to perform with lots of other kids, which gave her exposure to what would be expected and a chance to learn from others. This is an amazing program for kids/ teens! My now 10 year old son went through the program- 2 years ago and has had great success. Got an agent- because of the exposure of this program. He has since worked in TV and Film in Canada and USA. Premiere Program provides top notch coaching for months leading up to performing in front of agents. He was well prepared and had a lot of fun which I don't think would have happened if we just went out and found an agent! It is a great foundation. The Premiere staff is professional and lovely. Currently, Michael Palance is serving as an executive producer of My Hollywood, a reality television show, which features families from around the world and their struggles as they pursue opportunities to enter the entertainment industry as well as CEO of Premiere which hosts the largest child talent and audition showcase in the entertainment industry. The highly revered or must say the overhyped interview weekends held at Walt Disney World provide children with the experience to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry while offering parents unique insights and understanding of the factors that drive success. Premiere's ability to use mentoring the children build their self-esteem, self-confidence and advanced life skills is utter rubbish.  I, one of the few parents who experienced his Premiere Event can honestly say it is a total scam, to say the least! It happened in Chicago at a Premiere Event. A Facebook sponsored post calling all children to audition for their "chance to meet Disney Channel Stars" appeared in one of the news feeds. We got very intrigued to click the post and it said, "Does your child dream of becoming a Disney Channel Star? We clicked the link and it took us to an audition form which asks if you would like to meet stars like Skai Jackson or Ariana Grande. If you love the Disney shows and channels like Bunk'd or Jessie, be one of the first 200 callers to schedule your audition right now! The site encourages in such a manner that you definitely feel like getting shortlisted and gets caught in your dream spell.  The event was held at a 5-star hotel just off the Magnificent Mile and was organized by Michael David Palance, CEO of Premiere Event. Around 2000 people attended the event and I was given a questionnaire to complete and a short script to rehearse. The excitement had built up all around the rooms, dozens of children went over their lines. Then the lights dimmed and Mr. Palance entered the room introducing himself. He started bragging about his achievements and success and for the next 20 minutes, he ran slides and clips of the successful artists he had discovered. The process included reading a few lines of script in front of Mr. Palance, and then he would finally decide if you were good enough to go through to the next evaluation. That process built up our lot of hopes until we could actually experience the price to pay! The price list ranged from $2000 to $8000 and if he liked the child he would sign them on his books. The price list is on the Premiere website too.  Shortly after Mr. Palance speech, the first 2 rows from each side were ushered into the room with Michael himself and when my son's turn came, he walked up and read his lines (horribly might I add) and what do you know, he was chosen. It just took 30 seconds for Palance to select him. But in hand came, Pay BIG for a shot at stardom!! The fees ranging from $2000 to $8000 seemed exorbitant to us. Take my note and be happy if you are not shortlisted because we had a bogus experience filled with wasted time of not knowing what to expect! This Premiere event is a total scam where invaluable service is provided in exchange for a fee. The event doesn't attempt to be as transparent as possible with services being offered and the fee structure. The first and foremost clicks in our mind are why fees are necessary to attend and accept the invitation to Premiere Event. And then at the end, we are coming to know that the Premiere Event has no affiliations with Disney. These auditions which took place in many countries like New Zealand, UK, US, etc are in no way associated with or endorsed by the Walt Disney Company or Disney Channel. I really feel and experienced Premiere's audition process as a scam because its practices are far from scrupulous. With that, these auditions are time-consuming, a total waste of money and a whole lot of nonsense. With such exposure, children get demotivated and lack self-respect and self-confidence. My child was demotivated to the core after this experience. The enthusiasm within him was almost completely lost.  During the bs "auditions" he flaunts like 30 different accents, personalities and characters so it's obvious that everything about him is total bullshit going down to his fake accent that he definitely wasn't mindful enough of because I noticed it was fake in the first 7 minutes of his presentation. It's a scam created by Michael Palance who acts as a money digger targeting innocent naive families. Nevertheless, we were saved from what could have happened. Don't waste your time or energy attending one of these vents unless you want to be entertained by the irrational level of arrogance and nonsense Michael David projects throughout his presentation. Life sometimes takes unexpected turns. One day you find yourself sitting in a large ballroom with a couple hundred other people and wonder "How did I get here?" The next thing you know, your daughter has the biggest smile on her face because she is one of a select few who has been chosen for an opportunity of a lifetime and a chance to make her dreams come true! Let me start off by saying to me Premiere Event is NOT A SCAM. PLEASE BE AWARE of the services Premiere Event provides. If you are not well informed there is no doubt that Premiere Event will seem like a scam. No, I'm not paid to say it's not a scam but I am a father who went took his kids to the initial evaluations and want to inform parents of what they are getting themselves into. The weekend before the evaluation there was a played-out radio commercial that was catchy and went something like this "do you want to appear on Disney & Nickelodeon and be like *include kid celebrity name here* call this number to reserve your spot." After the commercial my kid haunted me to take her to these "auditions" and I said the hell with it lets go call and see what comes out of it. The following Saturday we arrived where the event was taking place. As we arrived there was a lady asking for kids last name and she wrote them down on a sheet of paper. I expected for her to have a list of names of people whom made reservations for each time slot and marking names off but that was not the case. When we were seated we received a form to fill out with the kids general information and a sheet that contained 3 small scripts. Parents were frantically filling out sheets while going over the script so their child could memorize. Some kids were all dolled up BUT DO NOT spend your money on glamouring your kid up. Minutes later Michael, the president of Premiere, gave a presentation which briefly touches on what the program is about. The presentation to me was more of kid celebrity name dropping, company name dropping like Disney and Nickelodeon, showing videos of celebrities that attended prior Premiere events and bashing of the parents. Yes, I said bashing of the parents. He basically stated if you are not there to pay attention to his spill and you're on your cellphone or talking during his presentation you have no interest in your kids acting future or being there. He went on to tell parents who have no interest of being there to leave. Michael gave his credentials that he has worked as and actor in soap operas and name drops Brad Pitt as someone that he had the pleasure to work with. After his spill he mentions that we will be called into another room in groups and each kid will act out a scene (kids choice) with him and from there the panel will decide if the kid moves on. A group of about 20 families are taken into the evaluation room and the evaluations start right away. The evaluations are brief. Here all families must wait until all evaluations are completed to find out what kids made it to the next round. There is a panel BUT the decision making is all made by Michael. Kids who did not make it are excused from the room. Michael gives families of kids whom made the second round instructions. We were asked to email Sunday (depending on your last name you had a time slot to email) to find out if your kid was asked for a second evaluation. We were given a brochure where it gave brief detail of the program and contained a lot image/name dropping of kid celebrities and prices per each program. The programs ranged from minimum $2,000 up to $7,000 plus. The prices listed are ONLY for the program and the price does not cover expenses, travel, hotel accommodations & park tickets. I figured that if we went with the cheapest program $2,000 plus fee, expenses, travel & hotel we would be spending $6,000 plus.We did research on this program and we found some information but not a lot. We decided that we will email Sunday and lets see where that took us. Sunday we emailed and minutes later we received a call and scheduled for the second evaluation. We headed downtown again but this time I did not attend the second evaluation because parking was hard to find. According to my bride, the evaluations were done right-away with a smaller group and the process of elimination was the same. My kid passed the second evaluation and they took us to a second room where we needed to decide what program to put our kid in. We did not sign our kid up and we broke it down to our kid so she could understand our decision making and our kid was very understanding. To us it seemed like a very expensive experience/trip for kids and their families. My understanding of the program is that kids will assist acting week workshop whatever Disney Hotel they Premiere is holding there event, there will be kid celebrities attending, there is a opening & closing ceremonies, parties, and there are scouts/agents but Premiere has no affiliation with Disney or Nickelodeon. Wish I had done the background check on this company before I took my daughter. What a scam. They tell you your child has passed their "audition". But the next step (even before they will consider you for the next audition) is to sign up for their packages which begin at over $1,000. They strong-arm you to sign up (almost like holding a gun to your head). Their trick is to get you to sign up before you leave the room with no time to think about it! I would advise you google this company, and see the various names they have used. Previously called "The Event". They have had complaints lodged against them since 2012. I have personally never been big into the Arts but since my daughter loves to sing and perform and has the quirkiest sense of humour, when the Premiere ad came up on my Facebook page I registered her and never gave it another thought. My daughter was invited to audition, we made a night of it - taking advantage of it being hosted in a lovely hotel in the City. She lined up was given lines to rehearse, we listened to the introduction by the company's CEO, completed some paperwork and then moved into smaller room in smaller group. A panel of people awaited, the CEO played the a role for each of the children to deliver their lines. Some kids read, some truly performed. Everyone got their chance to show their talent. It was fast paced, entertaining and quick. The CEO culled kids based on what he had seen. My kid was not culled. I was provided with a booklet outlining details of the program, packages available and cost structure. My husband and I discussed it in detail, made a decision about what we would do IF she got through. We headed back to the ballroom the next day. More lines this time the panel consisted of current actors (no one I recognised but my daughter was super excited!!) More lines to deliver, the group no where near as large as the last one. We waited until all the children had performed, this time the cull was public. Thanks but at this stage we don't think you're ready, applause, leave. My kids number was not called-she'd made it through, time to talk details. Thankful I had already discussed our options with my husband we asked our questions, chose our package and crossed our fingers that we'd made the right choice. The mainstream media presented their 'investigative report' about this scam, false promises and shady people. Hubby and I worried, did some online research worried a little more and then decided not to buy in. Nothing ventured nothing gained. In the 4 months leading up to the program dates coaching was provided, every appointment made was kept, every interaction was professional, friendly informative. In December we rolled into Florida, registered and checked in to our hotel. From the very next morning things were go! My kid attended workshops, rehearsed and worked on developing her skills. She met young stars from today's kids tv programs, tv dramas or the movies; these ppl shared their story and their experiences. She developed a celebrity crush taking her excitement to a whole new level! She worked, met other kids and as almost teenagers do formed a click, then as a group the new bffs supported each other through the preparations for performing in front of industry professionals. The evening activities were fun! The children had a chance to dance and relax as did their families after long days of workshops and coaching sessions. The children performed for industry professionals- while mine worked I spent time using google to check that the ppl claiming to be industry associated were and not just staff playing a role. My concerns had no foundations - everyone was who they said they were. Some large companies were represented others were independent, the whole world was represented and they watched and were always present. After an awards show where the stars performed solo sketches and children with the largest number of callbacks were recognised we tried to sleep and waited to see if my kid would get any callbacks at all. We had been warned that some wouldn't, the only thing we couldn't know is what the industry ppl were looking for. So that's a basic synopsis of the game... were we scammed like the media said we would be? NO did we get everything that was promised? YES Was the program and the ppl involved professional at all times? YES Would I have regretted not going? YES The only ppl presenting a skewed picture was the Australian media. Yes the packages cost money; the ppl are working to provide services. They have to earn money. There was never a promise of work or of guaranteed success- life is not like that. As a parent I was never strong armed into buying or upgrading the package. Everything they said would happen did. My kid lost her confidence & wanted to change her audition song 1hr before she was due to perform...no problem - the technical support team made sure the music was right, her coach gave a pep talk and listened to her sing both before endorsing her decision. The program, costs and time invested was worthwhile but not just because of the exposure offered to my kid but because of all the benefits she and we all gained. I wasn't aware of how to engage in this industry, I wouldn't have known how to give her the chances she now has. I am no 'dance mom' but I wanted to learn as much as I could about how to support her journey without getting in her way- the staff helped me too. Premiere event did not disappoint- we all feel so glad to have been part of it. read more

The president of this event is very rude to parents in front of kids. Sign up for this event is very expensive and parents sometimes needs time to think and take decisions. But the minute you ask some query the guy ask you to leave . Very rude. My daughter signed up and got in we asked him a few questions then asked if we could decide tomorrow he just got out of his seat told us to go home in front of my daughter then walked to the next table to the people who were willing to decide today. I looked at my daughter and we both decided that we don't want to work with such a rude person. Before you sign up make a decision if you really want to work with rude people. read more

A well-worth-it and organized shortcut into the industry...We attended the initial audition without knowing what to expect. What we found was an incredibly organized system that facilitates our children to present in front of industry experts, like tv/movie/music agents and managers. If you've been trying to get in this industry, you know it is hard to know who to trust. Premiere does the job for you, you know you can trust those industry experts attending. Our daughter, Angelina, passed both auditions with Michael Palance, and trained under her coach, Dru West. When she presented, we knew she was confident, and grateful to be presenting in front of panels of experts who would get her a good manager and representation. It would have taken us years, and definitely more money (between travel, classes, and events) to get her where she got in such a short time. Thank you Premiere. read more

We attended the Premiere Event last night in downtown Detroit. I did not do my homework first so this is clearly my own fault. Our appointment was at 4pm, we were instructed to get there by 330, which we did. We sat in our seats waiting nervously until 515 before an announcement was made and we were shuttled like cattle by rows to wait again. We finally made it to the audition room where each kid had 10 seconds to say their script as the event staff determines whether you can afford the next level. My daughter made the cut, my niece did not, she was crushed and crying! We leave with the brochure only to find that the minimum starting fee is $1950 up to $8000 depending on how much you can afford to have your child showcased. My recommendation: Stay home, spend quality time with your child and find a free local audition for a school play or community event. We wasted 5 hours of our day plus a $45 parking ticket. read more
