    Chapman Construction - untitled

    Chapman Construction

Chapman did an excellent job on installing our roof. Chapman started and completed the job when…read morethey said they would. Added a new roof vent for better circulation without being asked. They allowed us to use their dumpster to get rid of some of our junk. And finally, something being stored on our rafters ( that we were unaware of) fell due to the vibration of all the hammering. It made a small hole in our ceiling. This was totally not their fault at all but they took care of it at no extra charge!!! The hole was fixed beautifully within 3 days (only because layered plastering has to dry)!!

Building a house is not only more difficult but significantly different than just moving into an…read moreestablished home. The first and most important part of the process is to ensure that you have complete trust in your builder and their team. Your builder is the person who is going to bring your vision, dream and place of security to life. They need to be a good listener, offer suggestions knowing who their audience is and willing to be flexible while keeping the process moving forward. All of this occurred while working with Mr. Chapman, Steve Dossett and Tony Armstrong. We started our build remotely which adds an extra layer of complexity, however we found that out of the 4 homes we have built throughout our lives this was the easiest. Each team member brought to the table an expertise within their own abilities that assisted us with decision making structurally, design wise and adding some extras as the build move forward. We had some specific asks regarding features that we wanted completed before we closed so that when we moved in we would have all the extras we wanted completed. Chris Chapman and his team were very willing to allow us to have our closets organized, our garage floor coated and our fence put in and completed. I have never known any builder to allow this to go on prior to closing. What a blessing. Tony and Steve received many phone calls from us never hesitating to answer our questions, concerns and solving our issues. We met friendly team members along the way like Adyson and Luke as well as all the other players who assisted in creating our dream home. If you are thinking about building a home or even tossing around the idea of downsizing/upsizing your house then working with the Chapman team is the right choice. I would challenge anyone to find another builder that would come close to our experience. You will not be disappointed working with any of the people associated with this company. Many thanks to everyone involved who has worked on our home. We are beyond grateful for all your hard work.

Our project was delayed several times due to unforeseen circumstances outside their control, but The Way Construction patiently worked with us as we worked through the delays. Highly recommend this company for their high level of customer service, pricing and quality of work.

I got a quote from The Way, it was reasonable, and all reviews of them online were positive, so I paid the required half up front to get "on the schedule". The check cleared on 7/17/25, so I called that day to get scheduled. I was told I'd receive a call back within 24-48 hours. After not hearing back from them, I called again on 7/28/25. I did receive a call back later that day, and it was at that point I learned there wasn't a "schedule". I was put on a list, and told I'd receive a call/text the week before they came. They said it'd be 4-8 weeks before they could come. On 9/29/25 (9 weeks later), I called to get an update. I received a voicemail from Kyle saying the repair order had been sent out this week, and the crews should be out next week. He said he'd call if anything changes. They did not come the next week, nor did I get notified about it. I called them on 10/10/25 (end of the 10th week) and was told the production team would give me a call back within 24-48 hours. I did not get a call back, so I called again on 10/14/25 (11 weeks later). I got a call back from Kyle later that day; he said he was waiting to hear back from the gutter crew. They came on Monday 10/20/25 (12 weeks later) completely unannounced. Of course, it was when I was out of town, so I reviewed their work when I returned on 10/24/25. Their work was satisfactory EXCEPT they forgot to connect one of the downspouts to the underground drainage. So I called them on 10/24/25 to inform them of the issue. Kyle called me back that day. I texted photos of the issue to him, and he said they should be able to fix it next week. Nothing happened the next week. So on Wed 11/5/25 (14 weeks) I texted Kyle. He responded they'd be out either tomorrow or Friday. On 11/13/25 (15 weeks), it still hadn't been fixed. I texted Kyle again. He sent Jonathan out that day to look at it, to get a bill of materials, and that he'd be fixing it the next morning. On 11/20/25 (16 weeks), Jonathan came out and fixed the issue. Sooo...the time from my deposit being cashed and the project completion was 16 weeks. I finally received a bill for the remainder on 1/7/26...which is what has prompted me to post this review. I do not recommend The Way Construction.

They killed all the plants in my flower bed and did a very poor clean up. Left large amounts of scrap metal and long gutter nails all though out my yard. Ruining my lawn mower... I called and complained... I also had to call because they left 4 packages of roofing tile on my roof for 2 weeks and to remind them they didn't do the flashing around the fireplace! Which cause leaking After the roof was installed about a month went by and they never followed up about the gutters. So I had to call and talk to the rude lady working in the office, and remind them that the job wasn't finished. I came home from work to people working on my house unannounced and my gate was open even though I had it locked and my dogs could have gotten out. If I knew they were coming by I could have made precautions about the dogs. They finally installed the gutters but upon further inspection they didn't replace any of the rotted wood behind the gutters and the fascia wrap ended up being 2 completely different colors. I once again called and complained and and they said pay us for the gutter work and we will come fix it.... I said I have never paid in full for a job that wasn't done correctly... so correct the issues and I will be happy to pay you... well it's been about a year and my gutters are still not pitched correctly. They never came to replace the rotted fascia wood that should have been repaired before the new gutters were installed and I still have 2 different colored fascia wrap. We have had a lot of rain lately and it's causing a lot of issues because my gutters have been so poorly installed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I think if they didn't sub-contract out their work it would have been a better experience. They definately do not follow up! Update*** I recieved a phone call from one of the owners "matt maikrantz" stating these issues were unknown to him. I have emails and texts back and forth from a different owner and my sales guy Jeremiah about the issues. I've called him back a couple times now but haven't received a follow up. It's just very disappointing. My hours have been cut cause of the corona virus and I'm having to make payments on the loan I took out for this service and now I have to find the money again to pay for a job that should have been done correctly in the first place. Lord give me strength. As of yesterday I noticed that my "30 year roof" is leaking again which makes me question the quality of job that was done on the roof.
