He was on board with all the duties for the evening including hyping up the crowd for a big announcement, cueing up a wedding slideshow, playing songs we picked out, editing out swear words for our younger guests and keeping general order to how we imagined the night to play out. He worked with us on a plan of action on how we envisioned the night and everything was executed and exceeded expectations. You lose track of time pretty easily during the reception trying to make time for all your guests and your significant other and he was running around often to get us ready with the biggest smile on his face. He was as much an MC as a DJ and was having just as much fun as we were. Music-wise, my husband and I let him know what songs/artists we liked and what we did not want to hear and he made sure we got what we asked for. I've read/heard disappointed reviews about other DJs playing songs on couple's blacklist but DJ Diamond Lee goes out of his way to download only the songs requested and has good instinct to play similar songs of his own taste. He was honestly the best part of our wedding and we wish we had more events we could hire him for. Haha. We we're supposed to have an outside wedding and it unfortunately rained off and on. He set up outside and him and his equipment got rained on. He had to take apart his microphone to dry it and get it ready for our reception. We felt AWFUL about it -- but he was a trooper and didn't get mad! Just from our few meetings, he knew me and my now husband so well. He came in for the ceremony and said he had the perfect song to play for starting our walking down the aisle. Without him telling me what it was, I said play it. It happened to be an instrumental Star Wars song which was PERFECT for us! We had so many people who came up to us and said it was the coolest music they ever heard for a ceremony...especially the Star Wars song! On top of that he took care of us. The guy got me a drink when I needed one! Haha. He ran around frantic looking for me when they were calling my name and I didn't hear it. He was on top of EVERYTHING. More than we ever expected from him AND he played the best music for our reception. He meshed so well with us from minute one of meeting him. I contacted them because of good reviews and an appealing website. I told them right at the beginning that it was for 40 people and I wanted desserts only. They sent me a price sheet (listing multiple items sold by the dozen). I called with a few more logistic questions and the rep told me "we don't sell just a (a = one in my world) dozen of anything," so when I sent in my order I ordered two dozen of multiple items. She never said I could only order ONE item for that small of a group. I got an email back saying "Thank you so much for your time, but I don't think that we will be able to accommodate this." More than a week has gone by since initial contact and now I'm back to square one to find a caterer in Toledo who can provide excellent desserts. Their food might be great - I can't attest to that. But word-of-mouth is a caterer's livelihood, and I simply cannot sit back and not make others aware of poor customer service.

He personally called me on the phone to listen to our situation and took into consideration how crazy the military life can be, and how unexpected things like this happen. I really appreciated him just for even a simple phone call. We were able to work out a solution since we had to cancel. Mike is a fun, all around good guy and he would be a great DJ for any event!
