I was a patient of Dr. Rock for approximately a year for chronic low back pain and underwent…read moremultiple procedures, including injections, RFA, and surgery. My issue is not with Dr. Rock's procedural skill, but with the required monthly follow-up care handled by his sole RN. Across every visit, the RN was consistently argumentative, scolding, and condescending. Rather than collaborative or supportive pain management, appointments felt punitive and adversarial. Virtual follow-ups routinely involved being talked down to rather than helped. At my most recent visit, opioid compliance and urine testing had already been addressed. When the conversation shifted to next steps and possible treatment options, I was told there was essentially nothing else that could be done for my pain. The interaction escalated to the point that I ended the appointment early due to her tone and behavior -- not due to refusal of compliance or requirements. Following that visit, my long-standing medication for chronic pain -- a medication that should not be stopped abruptly -- was not refilled despite the RN being aware that I had run out. This felt retaliatory and placed my health at risk. Patients should never feel that medication access is being used as leverage following a contentious interaction. Pain management patients are already vulnerable. Being required to interact monthly with a staff member who is dismissive, combative, and unsympathetic ultimately made me feel unsafe continuing care at this practice.

I am eternally grateful for being referred to Dr. Goldman by my previous dentist. I was in pain and…read morewas experiencing other symptoms that turned out to be related to TMJ disorder. Dr. Goldman correctly diagnosed me and treated me. It took time to undergo the treatments, but it was all worth it. I no longer feel the pain or dizziness that other medical professionals could not help me with. Aside from that, Dr. Goldman earns 5 stars simply for being himself -- he is attentive, caring and knowledgeable.

I saw my Doctor, who sent me to a neurologist who sent me to Dr. Goldman. Long story short, through a series of treatments and following all of his recommendations I am now living pain free. I experienced some relief after the first treatment and the pain continued to lessen with subsequent treatments. I also had the opportunity to meet many other patients who were experiencing similar positive results with Dr. Goldman. Only someone who has experienced all encompassing head pain can know the way it totally takes you out of life. I am not religious but do feel like Dr. Goldman is my savior. I will be forever grateful for his incredible knowledge, skill, kindness and care. He gave me my life back! I have read the negative reviews and want to share that Dr. Goldman is VERY specific with many instructions. He is clear to convey that treatment does not just happen during the visits with him. All of the do's and dont's around wearing the appliance, eating, gum chewing and even sleeping that he expresses equated to a lot of changing of my habits.... not always easy and a bit invasive, but worth it. My pain was great. I Took his recommendations and believe that was an essential part of my success with him. The two negative reviews that I read sounded like they were written by people who were a bit emotionally unbalanced. I assure you he is not a quack to me, my neurologist or the other patients who I met in his waiting room. I wont begin to guess what is going on in the lives of the negative reviewers. A life of pain is terrible, but I wonder how much of the anger and negativity that they expressed has anything to to do with Dr. Goldman.

He cured a life-long sever migraine headache problem I have had with a simple long- standing non- narcotic medication on my first visit seven years ago and gave me back my life. Dr Burke always provides ample time during office visits (instead of the 10" visits that often occur in large, impersonal settings) and was willing to try new medications and listen to our opinions. I began seeing him for stroke prevention, since strokes run on my father's side of the family. Once I had a reaction to a prescription drug interaction (prescribed by another doctor) which was not bad enough to go to the ER but very unpleasant. Dr Burke saw me on an emergency basis the next day which happened to be a Saturday, so my regular doctors were not available. His private practice is directly across from Northwestern Hospital, so patients get the advantages of a major medical center without the disadvantages of being used for practice by students and inexperienced residents. I would recommend Dr Burke for both stroke prevention and complex neurological conditions.

I don't come for a lot of chit chat or want a lot of handholding, and I have always found the staff really perceptive and accommodating. For newbies, they do a very good job of getting you oriented without an overwhelming list of remember-such-and-so's. The accoutrements of float tanks are neatly arrayed and intuitive, e.g., ear plugs, petroleum jelly to cover an scratches or spots that would be irritated by the salinity of the water, towel, washcloth for pre- and post-float shower. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, soothing, and exceptionally clean. I have not tried the full rang of their float rooms/tanks but I'll vouch for the Samadhi tank (#OldSchool).

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.
