I found him to be very knowledgeable, professional AND honest. He told me that the pocket was not that bad yet and I could wait for up to a year. He also took my insurance for the consultation.

Dr. Mangot is an unethical dentist! Don't waste your time going to him! I made an appointment…read morewith him over the phone and he told me I would have to pay for my exam! I repeatedly told him my insurance covers the exam and all he kept saying is "what I'm charging you really isn't much" and "I'm just trying to help you out". No. You are trying to help yourself out by illegally taking money from someone when you are under contract with the insurance company and MUST adhere to the schedule fee. You don't get to choose the amount you charge a patient! Then he went on to tell me how much he charges for a procedure he does. I called my insurance and explained everything and they called him to let him know he cannot charge me for services covered under my insurance. Sounds like he was trying to commit insurance fraud! Needless to say once he was confronted by my my insurance rep he decided not to take me on as a patient. What a fraud he is! Please do your research prior to going to any dentist or doctor. Call your insurance up and confirm exactly what you are getting done and how much it will cost if anything prior to your appointment. This way no will try to get over on you like this character of a dentist unsuccessfully tried to do! If I could have given a zero review on here I would have.
