Especially the big pool which you can use as a member is very nice and clean. The fitness facilities can be quite full - but as everywhere it depends on the time you go. The spinning courses are my personal tip... Jump on a bike and enjoy a cool workout in a dark music filled disco room. Spa treatments can be booked for an extra fee and are wonderful. The staff in all departments is very friendly. My only minus point is the high member fee of ca. £45 per month. Other than that a great place to go and a guaranteed sporty time!

I parked on the car park, put My car Reg details on the screen at the desk as instructed. Today i have recieved a Parking Eye parking charge notice for £100, I promptly contacted the Copthorne, who could only offer me the advice to send proof to Parking Eye that I was attending a party in the Hotel. This is an appalling way to treat your guests and customers. The food was actually Nice and was thinking of booking a function there myself, but I would be too embarrassed. This place is a real buzz to be in. I only went there today as a first time experience to see the…read morehorses race and it was great, you get to see soo much of the horses from when they arrive and get warmed up till it is show time for them to race. It gets your adrenaline pumping when the guy is speaking from a loud tanner especially when the horses are drawing to the final part of the race. It was a real treat going today as it was a promotion that they were doing and you get to see the high class sort of people there who must be their week in week out. I got to see Michael Owen today aswel. The people there are a real gem speaking to you to as though you are one of their own.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast and service was excellent and the location and garden were perfect. Our hosts, Mark, Julie and Eloise never tired of answering our many questions. They provided a stress free environment for what could have been a very stressful week. They were very helpful and we considered the Norwood home base while we settled her in. We always looked forward to ending our day with great conversation at their in house bar while watching a game on their TV. Finding the Norwood made all the difference in our stay.

All of the rooms are different sizes and shapes so it's pot luck, but quirky and adds to the charm. The restaurant is good, with rich, home cooked style food, but they get busy so book!! The atmosphere is such that you can happily sit with a bottle of wine until closing time :)
