This is, after all, an expensive project with serious importance for the safety of your house in the increasingly storm-prone climate of south Florida. After hearing and researching presentations by three suppliers, we finally chose Coastal Shutter and Window. And we're glad we did! There were three components to most of the bids we received. First, the kind of shutters installed and their various features. Second, the professionalism of the installation process, whether the provider would include the required local permits and provide concrete dates and times as well as promise to clean up and remove the tracks and bolts that were part of our existing panel shutters. Third, of course, price. As a package, Coastal's bid, which was not the highest, offered the best value. Of course, the big issue is always will they perform the way they say they will? We're extremely happy with our results. They had the permit ready when their very capable installer arrived (when they said he would). He completed the job in the time frame they promised despite having encountered some unexpected delays removing some of our old hurricane fixtures. The installer was very respectful of the plants nearby our windows. The job site was clean when he left. We had our doors and windows installed this week…read more We went with A&M HURRICANE PROTECTION LLC. The other three companies totally ghosted us after dropping their quotes. A&M's salesperson Jason answered questions in an extremely timely manner. If I wrote the email in the evening or on the weekend, he responded. I couldn't have asked for a better sales professional. They even worked with me to install the doors I wanted, even though I did not purchase the doors from them. They installed all the windows and doors in one day. Three trucks and at least 6 employees. They sent back one installer the following day to install the window sills. I could not be happier. Other than some dust (expected) you would never even know they were here. They cleaned up every bit of scrap and removed the old windows, screens and frames. The employees could not have been nicer (even with my non-existent Spanish).
