We needed the entire house refinished with adding new red oak in two room's. This included the staircase. Patrick came out a couple of days after I reached out. He provided the estimate in a timely fashion. Stan and his crew were amazing. He educated us on the floors we had and respected the age/ quality. He knew his stuff. Patrick told us it would take possibly 1.5 weeks and it did. They knew we were on a time crunch because we were about to move in, and they accommodated. I would hands down use them again. I had already removed the old carpeting and padding. I have a home sound system and the day of the measurement, I asked the gentleman if my plans to run wires are around the perimeter of the room would work for installation. I was told yes, no problem. I spent several hours running the wires and securing the to the subfloor. I took pictures of what I had done and took them to the Korfage location and showed them to the same gentleman that had done the measurements and he again assured me that was not a problem. Day of installation and the installers arrive and tell me those wires were absolutely not going to work. I watched as they pulled all the wires I had carefully laid and ran them down the center of the floor which I had tried to avoid as I feared they will be visible after the carpet padding gets packed down after foot traffic of the course of a few years. Very frustrating. For anyone who has read this far, your takeaway should be a few things. 1. Korfages has a great selections of carpet. 2. The sales process was easy as I took samples home which made the selection quite easy. 3. Their prices are a bit higher than the big box stores but buying carpet from a guy that was mixing paint the day before kinda offsets that issue. 4. Everyone that I dealt with at Korfhages were very nice. 5. My carpet looks fine, the installers were professional. 6. I'm not sure of why the disconnect between what I was told about the wiring by the measuring gentleman and the installers but that was frustrating. I hope I don't have a wire lump across my floor in a year or so. 7. Would I use Korfhages again? I think I would but I would likely ask some additional pointed questions.

One day for drop-off of materials and the other day for installation. While the finished product is solid and I'm pleased, this experience lacked the polish of our first two installs. The "bummers" included the team arriving fairly late, almost 1-2 hrs than planned. Installation didn't finish in the one day we were scheduled. It took them 3 days and they weren't consecutive, so it took more like 3 weeks. The team didn't install pads on furniture, like the other installs, and it resulted in deeply scratched boards that had to be pulled up and replaced again. Thankfully we had extra material. The good that was appreciated included well cut corners for the kick board, took accountability for the scratches and fixed without a fight, and agreed to install a very small piece of footboard we didn't originally have in place. Note: pay by check to avoid any credit card fees. My husband paid the deposit with a credit card, which I asked him not to do, so they credited the card and let me pay the full amount by check. If you're considering flooring I do recommend you call them. We have gotten quotes easily and quickly, which is the first step in project planning. Knowing what to budget is half the battle.

The walls are full of ideas, manufacturers, styles and colors. I felt creative and inspired right away. A gentleman working outside of the showroom recommended we sign in to reserve a space in line (if we wanted to speak with a design consultant). We didn't at first but after seeing so many options and narrowing down a few choices, we put our names down. The wait gave us plenty of time to continue walking the showroom and finding more things we liked. A design consultant took information down about our choices, to confirm tile sizes available and if we could get a quick turnaround on delivery. She also asked about our kitchen space (cabinets, flooring, etc.) after hearing we were interested in a color. As a general rule kitchen backsplashes are often neutral, which I appreciate, but my kitchen is vomiting neutral and I need a pop of color. It was worth every penny to remove the beige/brownish tile we inherited from the previous owners. We were able to check out a panel to take home and liked it immediately. (My husband moved it every couple of hours to a new spot in the kitchen!) Ordering is more permanent here -- no returns, so make sure you like what you get and don't over order the supply. Freight is also charged which is not what we experienced elsewhere. Grout options and silicone were also available for order, which we added to the order. Tile arrived as promised and we paid at pick-up. Excited to complete our backsplash! Mees Tile will certainly be at the top of our list for future tile and flooring purchases.
