When my wife and I decided to build a new custom home, we interviewed several established builders in the Oklahoma City area to discuss the project. Cost and quality were of course key issues, but I ultimately found another factor that really set Premier Custom Homes apart from everyone else we talked to. That is their business/cost model. All the other builders would give us a cost, but their fees were built into that cost. Any changes, upgrades, etc. would have to be priced, again with whatever fee they chose to include. Mark at Premier is purely fee based, meaning their fee is set up front based on the size and layout of the home (living space, garage, covered). The customer then just pays the actual invoices for materials and construction. If you want to upgrade something along the way, it's all up to you. There's no conflict with Premier since their compensation has nothing to do with it. I don't know of any other builder that offers that kind of transparency and flexibility. Building custom homes is all they do, so there are LOTS of decisions to be made, but that's what "custom" is all about. They have the experience, knowledge, buying power and commitment to help you with options and recommendations, do what you want, and do it well. Having now gone through the entire process, I can't imagine building a custom home without some issues and problems along the way. We did have a few, but Premier handled everything. They will absolutely stand behind their work. Another thing that we found to be extremely valuable was work review and attention to detail. Most people having a home built don't have enough knowledge to review the work and know that it's done well as all the many different subcontractors complete their work. Coty was our Premier superintendent through the final stages of work, and did an amazing job at this. When he found anything that wasn't up to the quality level he expected, he made sure it was done right. If you have a home built by anyone, you should demand this from your builder. We expect this to be the last home we'll ever have built, and I couldn't be happier with the final product. If we do ever choose to build again, Premier will do it for us. read more

a minute ago-Edit We are in the process of building our dream home with Premier Custom Homes. If you have never built before first thing to know there will always be some headaches along the way, but it is how the company handles those that makes all the difference. Premier is doing a fantastic job, our superintendent either calls or comes out tot he job site at least once a day to check the progress o the build, and provide us with updates. He seems to be greatly concerned about keeping us within our budget, and if one of our selections happens to be over budget then he is working on way to either get it under budget or educate us on another option that will give us the same look but keep us in budget. So far all of the contractors that we have come in contact with have been extremely courteous to both myself and my family. Most everything that has been completed so far looks very well and is built very well. My father in law had a custom home built a year ago, and he is very impressed with the build so far compared to his! Keep us the good work Premier! read more

PCH built our dream home 2 years ago. I am a business owner so doing research and talking to previous customers was part of the process that I did with each builder. The decision became clear after numerous interviews, with some of Marks and Premier Custom Homes customers that his team would be the one building our dream home. I was more focused on the bottom line of keeping us on track with our budget, this was made very easy as the process is so transparent. We received our I pad with our tracking software at our first meeting, the team sat down with us and went step by step on where the invoices would be located, also they verified after each selection the price and if it was over our budget we had to approve before they would move forward. We truly were appreciative of this as we have built homes in the past only to come to the end to be surprised with a huge overage. If you are ready to build your dream home, and you are a budget conscious individual like I am, then I would definitely recommend using Premier Custom Homes. read more

If you're looking to build a true custom home with a quality builder who genuinely cares about their clients, Premier Custom Homes is the way to go. From the initial consultation, to the budget and throughout construction, Premier will stand next to you to ensure your dream home meets and exceeds all expectations. After consulting with dozens of local home builders, Premier Custom Homes made it clear that they not only care about making the home building experience as enjoyable as possible but also working within the budget. The business model that Mark has established sets them apart from all other builders. While most builders operate on cost + fees, Premier has a competitive set fee, which allows their clients to focus on home building and design. Mark and the office personnel are extremely responsive and will work with you on any issues that arise. If we were to build another house, we would definitely choose Premier Custom Homes again. Thanks again for everything. Now the fun begins moving everything in. -Ryan Cooper read more

Premier has been fabulous to work with! Our house has high-end finishings and we're able to monitor the progress every step of the way. Mark, the owner, always called to check in on everything and make sure the build was going as planned. Jennifer and Kelly, in the office, are great to work with and very responsive. The invoice process is great and we have extreme transparency into the costs and materials that go into our house. As with any construction project there are always bumps along the way but the staff was quick to work with us to make it all right. If anything was looking to be over budget it was communicated and their staff worked with the subcontractors to get the costs as low as was feasible. A major shout out to my superintendents also, Patrick and Coty. Any time of day I had a question I could text or call. Everyone just wanted the best for us and our build. We not only have an amazing new house but a new group of friends. I would definitely recommend to friends, family, and everyone else! read more

I have never been a huge review writer but this company deserves nothing but the BEST! I was ready to build my retirement home down by the lake, I had met with Mark about a year ago at a home and outdoor garden show. He was so laid back and not pushy at all. He told me that when I was ready to build to just give him a call. The process was amazing and so easy for someone who has never built you truly have someone there for you the whole time and even though they have other homes to build they make you feel like you are the only one they are building for. The reason for my review is I had to call Mark to ask him who did some plumbing work b/c I needed something worked on and even though I have lived in my house for a year now he was willing to make that phone call and set up an appointment for me. Customer service is key with this company! I have recommended them to all my friends and family and will continue to do so. read more

We just recently moved into our beautiful custom home! I truly loved this process, everyone told us building a custom home can be so stressful with all the hidden fees. Not with Premier on of my favorite things is how structured the budget was and I was aware of the cost of every item before I made any decision. This way if I wanted to go over budget I knew the exact amount, but if I was under budget I was able to use that to save on another decision. We truly controlled the budget on our selections which was amazing. Anytime we had questions or if an issue would arise there was always someone to communicate with get a resolution. Also our superintendent was wonderful always directing us and educating us on the best and most cost efficient way. read more

We went into to this process with only ideas on a piece of paper. Mark and his team at Premier were able to turn our thoughts and ideas to our reality! Premier guided us through each and every stage of the process. Mark constantly fought to save us money and truly made every effort to make us (his customers) happy! He was available each and every time we called him - and made it a priority to resolve any questions we may have had. I know that to this day we could call up Mark and he would do whatever he could to help answer any questions/problems we may have. I feel like we will be his customers long after we finish and close on our home. My family and I are very happy that we chose Premier Custom Homes to build our DREAM home!!!! read more

We built our new home with Premier Custom Homes, the build took a little over 7 months due to weather :( However, Our home is gorgeous, the process was so easy, making the decisions on which tub I wanted was probably the hardest decision I had to make! The system that Mark has developed made the process very simple for us. Our Superintendent Cory did most of the heavy lifting, setting up the work. Our home is everything we wanted. We have family that has also picked Premier to build there home. I will always recommend Mark and his staff. Everyone was very helpful and we are happy to share our home with family and friends. Thank you Mark and Premier Custom Homes for making our dream home a reality. read more

5 Stars, I would give these guys & gals 10 PLUS - We just finished our home in Edmond and We could not be more thrilled. We first met Mark 2 years ago at the Home Show in Oklahoma City. He was so professional when speaking to us about our ideas and the cost associated with our dream. We had met with several builders before and it seemed they were all trying to change what I wanted. We have built 2 homes before working with Mark and I have learned that building a custom home is not for everyone, It can get stressful but working with the team at Premier was not stressful at all for us. THANK YOU PREMIER. We love our new home and look forward to showing it off! read more

Fantastic service! Premier built the home we wanted, on time and with marvelous quality. There was only one little issue and Premier sent somebody out that same day and fixed it, no charge. They have Ipad that let you track everything that is going on in real time. Premier has won the Reader's Choice Award for a number of years for good reasons. The owner, Mark Abel is involved in making each home built exceed the customer's expectation. We could get him on the phone if there was ever a problem. Plus, besides all that, the money we saved by using Premier we used to get some extra features we would not have been able to get. Thanks Premier! Julian Codding read more

We are very glad we chose Premier Custom Homes to build our house. Once we made the final decision and signed with them we felt at ease and felt more like family than customers. We used Premier Homes and would highly recommend. Mark is a professional and is always a phone call away. He followed up on his sups and stayed in constant communication. I had always heard what a horrible process this can be, but this team took care of us from the beginning.
