I was excited to have a date night with hubby. Got a baby sitter (which we never do) for Mother's Day night and wanted to see a movie. Hands down one of the worst movie theater I've been to. They're incredibly stingy with their items, even water. This used to be our BCS theatre of choice but not anymore. Part of my movie experience is good, fresh popcorn and their new, self-serve popcorn dispensers serve it either cold or slightly warm and grinds it into smaller crumbs as it dispenses. We now go to Cinemark and get good popcorn. read more

As a theatre it's close to my house and reasonably priced. I've heard mixed reviews on the DBox seats. So far I've used them for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. I think it definitely depends on the movie to say if they're worth it. While I don't have any plans to use DBox again, it's at least worth trying it out. I do think they could be improved, but at the same, they are a choice, rather than a requirement. Every time that I've been to the theatre, I've been happy with my experience. read more

Went to the imax showing to watch Toy story 4. As soon as we get to our seats there was spilled soda all in the seat, since now you have to buy your tickets beforehand we got there as soon as the movie was about to start. So we wouldn't miss the movie or disturb others cleaning up someone else's mess my daughter just sat on my lap.....so that was 10$ wasted for an unoccupied seat. If they would have cleaned the theatre like they are supposed to they would have easily seen the spill. 2nd off none of the seats recline. Why pay that much extra for an uncomfortable seat. Last but not least there was a big spot on the imax screen that I kept focusing in on during the movie. They either need to replace it or clean it. As much as tickets and concessions cost it shouldn't be a problem to afford better maintenance. read more

B/CS is not a place for film lovers. There are 2 cinemas that are almost identical in what they offer on their screens - very little diversity. Premier is pretty clean and has all the aspects of modern multiplex cinemas around the USA - video arcade, overpriced concessions, etc. The seats at the Premier are kinda small but the projection is good and sound OK. And matinees are $4 on weekdays. If they offered a bit wider variety of films on their screens they might rise above an average 3 star rating. read more

This is the better of the 2 main theaters on the hwy in bcs. The seats are more comfortable and recline nicely and the arms raise. I also think it's cleaner. I also like the little bar for while you wait. Helpful tip: you can get a free refill on your popcorn; there is a tab on your bag they tear off with your refill. read more

I've been to the early showings and to me the popcorn is the night before because their all just a bunch of little balls of popcorn like its moved around so much that it's all broken up. No big pieces at all !! Come on manager, it's time to crack that whip.. read more

Chose Premier today because of the earlier available show time for hunger games. Farther away, a little more expensive but fits my schedule. While most of the reviews are correct about the chairs being more comfortable, the rest of the movie experience left a lot to be desired. My expectation's were to enjoy this last in the series of hunger games with my normal popcorn and ICEE. Down hill after purchasing the ticket from the friendly staff at the window. First - the stop at the snack bar - No sir no ICEEs yet, they won't be ready for 20 minutes. Pick a substitute - Disappointing to pay that much for something you did not really want but can't do without while consuming the popcorn. That's 1 - & Ok - not a big deal I can live through it. Next the movie starts almost on time - but the bottom right of the screen keeps lighting up and loosing the image..... Every time the late arrivals come in or someone goes out..... The light from the hall shines into the theater and fades the projection on the big screen. That's 2 - and very annoying. And the worst of my experience - about 45 minutes into the drama, the movie in the theater next door starts and during the dramatic conversations - I could not determine if the conversation in the background of my movie in my theater or the one next door. That's 3. Your OUT - never again. To premier ownership and management- watch a few movies in your house and ask yourself why anyone would consider spending their time and money with you all. Simple quality management practice in your business - 1. make sure you are ready to provide the products you advertise when you accept payment from those who pay to enter your establishment. 2. Watch a low light movie in your theater and then do something about the spotlight from the hallway. 3. While your watching play a movie in the ajoining theater and perform a sound check. read more

I was staying in Bryan over the weekend. Decided to step into a movie matinee. The experience was less than desirable. Concession stand was slow. The smell in the hallways and inside the theater was damp and moldy. I'm glad there are some other choices in the B-CS area. I'll have to try them next time. read more

Talk about not caring about their customers. My wife and I work nights, and we wanted to catch a movie before a long 12 hr shift. I called ahead to make sure what time the movie would let out. I was told that the movie would end at 6:20. Sweet, we have it planned to a tee. Get to the movie...the previews should be running but they are not.. Ok we will give it 5 mins.....nothing. My wife goes and talks to someoone and they say that they will get someone on it right away. 10 mins go by...nothing. I call and tell them we are crunched for time, they didn't seem to be in any rush. 5 more mins... At this point our window has closed for a movie before work. And I am a little frustrated. With 4 kids we don't get to do things on our own a lot. So we ask for a manager, say we want a refund... goes and refunds our tickets only. I said they needed to refund the food as well... she kinda huffed, but did it and we walked out. Where are the extremely apologetic managers. You are not the only movie theater in town. And I hope that people realize this. read more

Premiere is always better than Cinemark. The chairs are slightly bigger and cushier, there's food and a full bar. Dip and Dots, hello! The staff is mostly friendly, especially for having mostly high school and young college students working there. The tickets are slightly more than College Station, but I'm not sure you can really complain about it seeing as it's only about a quarter more and you would be paying twice as much to see a movie in a larger city than you pay here in BCS. This Place is the worst cinema I have ever been to. We had a movie at 11pm to see and arrived at 10:30 PM. They had all the doors locked and there was a crowd of people outside wanting answers. Management had their employees hide and not make eye contact with anyone. finally I grabbed a door someone opened as they were leaving an I let the crowd in. Suddenly people started yelling at us saying we are closed! so we yelled back NO you are not! Many people had their tickets ordered already online. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS. read more

While the staff seemed pleasant and upbeat, I left the theater feeling extremely unhappy. I immediately showered because I felt so dirty from being in that place. The cleaning before my showing and after the previous one took less than three minutes and as soon as i got in i could tell why...there was popcorn everywhere, open decomposing nacho cheese containers, coke spills on the aisles and the tops of the seats. The open unclean environment was attracting flies. The whole building smelled like burnt popcorn and body odor. The chairs were stained and broken. I don't see myself ever returning here again. Cinemark (their only competition in cs) has an old building, but the prices are the same as premier prices and the former has always been clean in my experience. The previous reviews indicating quality and cleanliness i can only assume means that they changed management...because this kind of dirty doesn't happen in one night. read more

One drunken member of the audience was yelling vulgar remarks for thirty minutes before he was escorted out. Took my daughter here.. NEVER EVER AGAIN. yes, everything is self serve and refillable.. but that just means it's been sitting there (popcorn was terrible) self serve area was dirty and hidden. Must have spent $50+ dollars on our trip.. got food from the little restaurant inside.. and thank God I didn't share my chicken fingers with my daughter bc I got such TERRIBLE food poisoning from it, I was out of commission for 2 days. I had to call out of work. I wanted to die. and then to add insult to expensive injury-- I go to email the theater and corporate, and conveniently enough, all my emails (that were sent through THEIR website) we returned to sender! WTH?? I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND DON'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I would love a response from CORP about this trip, as it was definitelty NOT worth the money spent. OH, did i mention a man fell off the barstool and hit his head pretty hard, looking quite intoxicated, and to cover her butt, the bartender says "ohh, he told me he works in the sun all day, he's fine" no ambulance was called. We just moved here and I've been to Cinemark but this time I decided to try Premier. Cinemark didn't have very comfy seats, however their nachos were great. When I walked into Premier, I saw they had nachos at the concessions but didn't see the side bar where you can add your own toppings so I got nervous that for $6 I would just get nachos with cheese so then I went into the little bistro they had and I ordered nachos there but it was like fajita meat and cheese with salsa and way too fancy and not what I wanted. Thinking that was all they had I paid the $10 for those subpar nachos...then I saw the chili for the other nachos by the concessions so I got those too. Those ended up being good. Not AS good as cinemark but almost. (I think the chili is just a little different and Cinemark gives you a better portion size.) However the seats are way better at Premier and overall it's a better theatre. You also get free soda and popcorn refills. Premier is a little better priced all around...unless you buy both nachos...then it's $16 just in nachos. The ones from the bistro are $10 which is insane. I should have been braver and just asked where the damn chili was at the concessions. I'm only giving a 4 star review because I think they can either make the concession side bar a little more visible or better explain/display your available nacho choices. read more

I just saw the Metallica Through The Never 3D IMAX movie today. Was awesome. Except for one BIG detail. About half-way through the movie it switched from 3D to 2D. There was only about 10 people in the theater, but everyone started lifting their glasses to see what happened. If you have never seen a 3D movie, you wouldn't know that when it switches into 2D, one side of the 3D glasses is almost completely black, so you can't really see and need to take them off. Several people got up shortly after, and I assumed they said something, but that was not the case. I am not one to get up and miss out on a movie unless it goes out of focus or it just stops. So, after the movie was over, I reported this to a person at the concession stand. He came back and told me the manager has not seen it and she didn't know if it was supposed to do that or not. I assumed she would be coming out to talk to me, but she wasn't. I waited 20 minutes at the counter to talk to her while she instead helped someone else setup a birthday party order. Once she was done, she seemed put-off that I was still waiting to speak with her. Again, she said she hadn't seen the movie, and did not know if it was supposed to do that. She stated that NO ONE monitors these cameras. (So, they only rely on customers to get up and notify them if the movie has a problem.) I then asked if she could at least give me a partial credit for the whole movie not being in the "advertised" 3D. She refused stating again that she hadn't seen it and that since no "one" complained during the movie or after, she couldn't do anything. I was appauled. I was standing right there making a complaint, but I guess I don't count as some "one". So, I did my research, and then called the Premier Cinema in Lubbock, as they too have an IMAX screen. Rudy was the theater Director there, and he was awesome. I explained who I was and what I saw, and he stated that he had indeed seen the movie and that it WAS supposed to be in 3D throughout the ENTIRE movie. He seemed dumb-founded that this Bryan manager treated me like this and asked for my contact information so that he could let corporate know. How awesome is this guy! I am not even in his city and have never been, and probably never will be at his theater, yet he provided me more customer service that my own local theater manager. This was my second experience watching a film in the IMAX thertaer at the Bryan Premier Cinema. The first was the new Riddick movie and it was 3D throughout. So, while I have no complaints about the movie or the screens themselves, I do have a complaint about this manager and the fact that NOONE monitors these movies for problems. Also, prices for their IMAX and their D-BOX and 3D movies is ridiculous. I get that they moake their money on concessions, but still, should have a first showing of the week, Mon-Fri cheaper just like they do for 2D films. Hence my 3 STAR rating. If this theater ever does get better with it's customer service and prices, I would consider making it at least a 4 STAR, possibly a 5 STAR. read more

Overall OK theater. Electronic box office signs impossible to read in daytime. Chicken strip meal took almost 20 minutes, into the previews. The hit on the score though comes from poor design features. First the seats are way too close with not enough leg room. The other design feature that keeps me from going back is that the smaller theaters allow light in from the hallway when opened. This put a large swath of light onto the right corner of the screen every time someone went in/out during the movie. College Station might be older, but the movies and restaurant food are cheaper. There's a reason it is the busier of the two theaters. read more
