10 stars!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Travis Cook and his son, Noah. They took us out Sept 4th on Lake Coeur d'Alene and we had a wonderful time. They worked their tails off the entire time, not only to ensure we were catching fish but also making sure we were enjoying our day. The boat we were on was immaculate. It was so clean (real bathroom included) and had all the bells and whistles as compared to other charters we've seen. The booking experience with Vicky was also so easy. If you're in the Coeur d'Alene area, don't think twice about booking Premier Charters!! We will definitely be back to see them!

I cannot say enough good things about this trip! Travis and his son Noah were extremely knowledgeable about the lake and everything around it. They made this experience all about us. They made the day so easy on us. The boat had a bathroom and they had snacks and drinks for us as soon as we got on. I was so excited about this trip and Travis and Noah exceeded all of my expectations and more. I have so many great things to say about them. They're a perfect match for serious fishers or for someone with absolutely no knowledge or experience. We will be back for sure and recommend them to anyone !!!

We knew the fishing mid-summer may be a bit tough with the river low and the sun shining bright. Justin picked us up in Post Falls right on time at 7 AM. His truck was clean and comfortable for the 30 drive to the Fly Shop just outside Wallas, Idaho. We planned ahead and had our license already, so we just needed to make shuttle arrangements for the truck to be at the pullout. Drift boat was clean and well outfitted for fishing. Justin supplied all the equipment and tackle for the day. We launched less than 5 minutes from the Fly shop and started fishing right away. I was in the front and caught 16-19 in. fish all day. My sister-in-law was in the back using the exact equipment and tackle caught one fish at the end of the day to save her trip. Ran into a young moose while we were anchored up and eating lunch. He entered the river and swam in our direction. we moved across river to let him by and he walked up the other side and disappeared into the woods. Unbelievable to see a moose up close in the wild. The river is closed to boats at the I95 because of construction so we had to pull out at the RV park. Justin returned us to the Airbnb at the end of the day and we said our goodbyes. I will return as soon as I can for another adventure.

We loved relaxing at the spa, eating at Beverly's, and renting bikes to ride around the lake. We also hiked around Tubbs Hill and explored so many great local restaurants. Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.

I felt sorry for anyone who didn't like chocolate cuz that's what it was. Surprisingly nice bathrooms for onboard a small boat. Lovely views. Very pleasant overall with nice music playing as well.

To be honest, I'm often not impressed with food in American venues -- and I definitely didn't expect much from a dinner cruise. But to my surprise, everything was excellent: the fish, the steak, the perfectly seasoned potatoes, and the fresh salads. Service was great too, which made the whole experience even better. We had such a fun time with friends and took tons of photos along the way. P.S. Bring something warm -- after sunset it gets noticeably cooler out on the water! Coeur d'Alene has a charming downtown waterfront and it's here where you'll find this Tubbs Hill Trail. I believe hiking along Tubbs Hill represents the city of Coeur d'Alene well. It's an easy 2 mile round trip loop that oversees the harbor from a distance. Basically, it's a perfectly fine nature trail. There are 26 or 27 posted marker signs along the trail to guide you (including a halfway point). It's absolutely impossible to get lost, lol. To be specific on where Tubbs Hill Trail officially begins, you can find the starting point right next to the Rotary Harbor House (which looked like a relaxing spot to grab some fish tacos and catch views from the pier). Since the hike is a loop, if you begin by going off to the right hand side, there are spots along the way to descend down the rockside and go swimming in Lake Coeur d'Alene. I noticed a lot of people were relaxing and lounging out on the rocks while taking refreshing breaks in the water. If this sounds enticing, then remember to bring your bathing suit and a towel, lol. The first part of the hike offers panoramic lookouts of not only the boats docked beside the waterfront, but also the historical landmark - Hotel Coeur d'Alene. Eventually you wrap your way around in a circle getting to enjoy the great outdoors. It's a chance to breathe in fresh air from the lake without having to work hard. There's barely any incline/decline along the 2 mile path. It took me one hour to complete the hike. Lastly, parking can be difficult in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Independence Point is a popular area to park, but they do charge by the hour and every spot was occupied when I arrived in the middle of the day. I resorted to parking on a sidestreet next to the Coeur d'Alene shopping district. Though, cars on side streets are only permitted for 2 hour intervals at a time. Overall, Tubbs Hill Trail was a pleasant hiking activity. Pair it with maybe taking a cruise out on the lake or walking around the Boardwalk Marina (the "world's longest floating boardwalk" if you can believe) and you'll discover the best of what Coeur d'Alene has to offer.

What it has going for it: - good fencing, gates and entry area - decent size run - dog drinking fountain - poop bags provided - limited views of river What it has going against it: - no small dog run - ground cover is packed dirt...bad drainage - no shade - limited seating - no parking close to run When they were planning Riverstone Park I am sure they needed to check off the box for a dog park, but I think it was at the bottom of the list of priorities since there doesn't seem a lot of thought was put into the planning of this dog park. Access is from the Centennial Trail. The closest parking is on West Suzanne Rd or you will have to park at the parking lot for Riverstone Park and walk over 1/3 mile to this dog run. This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.
