The service technician did a very thorough inspection, identified where the bats were living, and gave us a price to get them out and seal the holes. I scheduled an appointment for later in the week to get the process started. Aaron arrived on time and got the one way door installed and all the entry points sealed. I am now happy to say my tenants are free of bats and they can sleep at nite. I would definitely recommend this company for any bat or wildlife problems you might have.

They scheduled me for Monday, which was three days away, so pretty quick response. Then they called on Sunday and said they were in the area and could come out that day, and I agreed. Very good. The man who came out was very polite and friendly and looked through my crawlspace and took pictures of the damage to show me. He identified the entrance hole the possums were using. Here's where things go awry. He said he couldn't close the hole that day, but that they'd be out in two or three days. It didn't make sense to me, since I paid $195 for them to check and see that there were no animals in there at present, so I thought they should patch the hole promptly before animals could return. He also didn't schedule an appointment for them to patch the hole, so I thought they'd call me. Two days later, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them. The man who answered was very curt and snippy. I don't know if he was the manager of the company or what. He asked my address, then put me on hold with some scratchy elevator music that kept looping over and over. When he got back to me, he again asked my address and asked who had come to my house. I described the man to him and he knew who it was, then rudely told me, "Well, it couldn't have been yesterday." At that point I told him I was mistaken, that it had been Sunday. Then he wearily told me that he'd have to schedule an appointment for them to repair the hole. I asked him, "Why would you check my crawlspace and then not patch the hole the same day? That gives the animals a chance to come back in." He then told me, "I don't have time to talk about that, I'm busy with something else." At that point, I became angry and told him sarcastically that was a fine way to run a business, and not to bother coming back out. Not only had they not patched the hole in a timely manner, maybe figuring they could charge me more for setting traps, but he had been rude to me as well. Don't bother with Platinum Wildlife Removal unless you're in the mood to pay a lot and be treated like you're a bother instead of a valued customer.

WARNING FOR TOLEDO AND SURROUNDING AREAS: Kevin Mcvickers is a local businessman. He has used…read moremultiple business names over the years. Most recently he is operating under Kevin & Sons Painting, Fences, Decks and Homes by Kevin, and Kevin's Critter Gitters. He offers services such as building fences, decks, garages, pest removal, powerwashing, etc. Recently he has had two employee's reaching out to him to seek payment for hours work. The agreement was that workers would be paid every Friday when the work day was complete. On multiple occations he has failed to pay workers on time or in full. He has excuse after excuse as to why he can't pay his workers. He often claims he is waiting for checks to clear the bank. Currently, one former employee is owed over $200 for hours worked this summer. Kevin Mcvickers refuses to answer phone calls or texts in regards to this matter. Another employee was owed over $400 this past Friday and only received $100. Kevin Mcvickers promised to pay the rest Friday night but then avoided contact with this employee until today. After making this employee drive to two separate locations, he paid the employee all but $100 of what was owed. He now says he will pay the rest next Friday. Attached are pictures of one of his business FB pages, BBB Alerts for two of his business, an ad his daughter posted in a local group, and just a handful of criminal and civil lawsuits filed against Mr. Mcvickers. These range from '95 to 2018. From jobs incompleted, never started(after payments were are upfront), and job poorly done. The most recent lawsuit was filed 8.14.2018. All this information is public and easily accessible on Toledo Municipal Court's website. Please be advised if you are seeking services and see his name attached to a business. Don't use them for critters! I had a chipmunk issue where they'd gotten in my crawl space, floors,…read moreunder my bathtubs, and in my walls. Terminix got out to my house quickly, which was a good sign, but that was the only thing they did right. I was quoted a steep number for a week's worth of "service" (including blocking the opening into the crawl space, blocking the holes around my foundation, adding a shield to my roof access, trapping the chipmunks (and/or other critters), and a year warranty). The gentlemen came out to do this and was at my house for appx. an hour. I haven't seen him since. He only tries to call me, minutes before he wants to come check the trap. I work in Detroit and have told them numerous times, I need more of a heads up in order to lock in a site visit. He didn't even go into my crawl space. On top of that, he informed me that I was lied to and the chipmunks aren't covered by the warranty I paid for. I'm pretty sure there are now dead animals below my floors and in my walls. I'm going to have to find someone else to try and deal with this and it's already too late because it smells everywhere! The last time I spoke with the technician, he informed me my week's service was over and he was coming to take his trap back. Long story short, they're charging me ~$1800/hr to put an 8.5x11 inch screen on a little window and that shield on the roof. I will not be paying them that.
