I broke my index finger and was referred to this office/hand surgeon by the emergency room. This is an odd thing to say but this office might have the best staff, techs, nurses and a doctor that I have been to. A woman named Michelle checked me in, had me sign some basic forms and took my copay. This woman simply could not have been more personable, peasant and professional. I really enjoyed just chatting with her and she never made me feel like a "number" or just another patient in a long line of patients. I was a an actual person to her and it was really welcome. My appointment started exactly on time and the punctuality was appreciated. Doctors often want you there on time then leave you in the waiting room for 30 minutes. Not this office. I was moved into an exam room where I met a med tech named Stephania. She was also friendly, not rushed, personable and professional. She has a very calming way about her and she is simply fantasist at her job. She put me at ease then went and notified my physician that I was ready to see him. My doctor was named Seth Tebockhorst and he was fantastic. Personable, to the point and also, not in a hurry. He explained my injury to me, in detail, and answered every question I had. He showed me the X-rays and told me how my recovery would go. It's clear his staff follows his lead in how he conducts himself with patients. After my exam, I was moved to another room to make a custom splint to protect my broken finger. This is where I met Cara. She, like the rest of the staff, was pleasant, friendly, chatty and very good at her job. We talked about our families and where abouts we lived. She kept my mind busy while she made a splint fit perfectly and really protects my finger. I simply can't explain well enough how fast, easy and professional this place is. The office is clean, plenty of parking and a beautiful area of town. I damn near look forward to my follow up visit to see these people again. I know, weird right? read more

This place is a shady practice...be WARNED! We should have walked out immediately the first time we showed up for an appointment. They said we didn't have an appointment...as if we just called to give them our information only. Um no...we called for an appointment because my mom left the ER days before with a wrist injury. Of course we called to make an appointment after a wrist fracture. They lied and said we never made an appointment. So we just showed up randomly at a certain time and date with no appointment? Come on now...acknowledge that someone there made a mistake. That's all you had to do. We made another appointment and hoped there wouldn't be another issue. I should have taken her somewhere else after this first issue. Anyway...as mentioned my elderly mom had a wrist fracture, and the hospital referred her to a hand specialist that was in her network of Aetna/Medicare HMO. We made sure with the front desk that all her care would be covered. She made sure to ask them at each appointment. This isn't her first rodeo, she doesn't pay co-pays or anything for her health care. We make sure that each medical facility we go to is in her "network" Her income is social security only...so we have to make sure things are covered. The appointment date arrives and the doctor did an X-ray and tells her what kind of break it is. We go into a room where a removable cast is made. After the cast is made, we were given instructions for post care. We were told to come back for physical therapy in a few weeks. The next appointment comes up, and again my mom asks if everything is covered. She just does that...she's not a wealthy person. Again, she wants to make sure that there's no expectation of payment. They confirm again that everything is covered. They then take us back to a room where two "physical therapists" are working. One of the therapists in the room that was working on another patient happened to be the person who made my mother's cast. Things seemed pleasant during therapy...even though the therapist working on my mom said that the cast was made wrong (right in front of the other therapist who made it.) I don't think the other therapist heard that though but that was strange. Anyway, the appointment went smoothly and again my mom made sure that there was no money to be expected for treatment. Follow up appointments again had more discrepancies were a therapist said something like "idk why that therapist told you to do that" in reference to aftercare. What exactly is going on between therapists here? Comments like "the cast was made wrong" or " idk why that therapist told you to do that" is just oddly suspicious. This isn't to say the therapists were bad at all with the care given. Fast forward, there's suddenly an outstanding bill that's expected to be paid. What do you mean she owes you money? I guess Aetna didn't cover the bill...and according to Aetna we found out that it was because a therapist/s wasn't updated with their NPI thing. We found out through Precision's biller, that this was in fact true...and that other patients were having issues with their care not being covered because of NPI certification. Precision told us that they tried to call and inform us about the bill...and that my mother couldn't come back for therapy until the bill was paid for. It's odd because they had a land line phone number we had many years ago...a number we haven't had for 7 years. We never gave them that old phone number. Hell we didn't even realize that was our old phone number until we looked at old records. They were trying to do some down-low skip search or something. Why didn't they call the phone numbers they had on file for both of us? Where did they get that old number that we haven't had for 7 years? The shadiness continues... We waited a couple days because clearly it's a Precision error. Aetna and Precision's biller said the same thing about some NPI issue. We call back Precision assuming things were taken care of by now. Why wouldn't it be covered? Why can't Precision explain that? If Aetna and your biller are telling us there's an NPI certification error...fix the issue with your company/care givers. Another phone call reveals that suddenly this biller for Precision no longer works for them (what a coincidence) and that the office manager is now doing the billing. The office manager was on vacation for a week but "you will hear from her when she comes back the next Monday" There was no call on Monday, or any day from the office manager. Every day that we call, she's supposedly in meetings. 9 to 5 meetings huh? We call Aetna again, and we learn that even the office manager at Precision said that so and so wasn't NPI "updated" Follow up calls with Precision's front desk results in them giving us the run around about where the office manager is...and they insist that so and so has their NPI certification or whatever... and has always had it. I had two large precancerous growths removed in 2019 after my dermatologist did the first round of removals/testing. My career was in healthcare management and I can say that this was the most unprofessional office and physician I have ever dealt with; it is absolutely not patient centered. I was left alone in a room after prep for a long while without anyone checking on me and with loud rock and roll music, the surgical assistant did not wear scrubs but had had a sweater and jeans on, my surgery was extremely painful and when I said how painful it was, the assistant said, "well, you must not have had a lot of pain in the past". The scars left could have been done by any surgeon. They were not minimized by going to a plastic surgeon. Dr. Fender presented as disinterested and actually seemed to be watching a movie on his computer when I arrived. During my follow-up visit, they wouldn't let us in the office for my 1:00 appointment until, exactly 1:00 because the whole office was eating lunch. No note on the door- we couldn't even tell if the office was open. The nurse couldn't take a blood pressure because both machines were out of batteries. My husband (an MD) was with me for that visit and we both were completely amazed at the lousy practice. After this experience I saw two reviews that said how painful the surgeries were. The doctors and staff are impressive! I've enjoyed my interaction with everyone there. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Levy was my plastic surgeon, he changed my life for the better! I had a stomach that hung low and caused all kinds of issues. After my consultation I felt I had a chance of a better life with the information I received. Dr. Levy is very knowledgeable and explained everything well. Dr. Fender helped me with my thumb on my left hand. I now gained use of my entire hand. Which helped my quality of life. Cara is the hand therapist and is just a delight to work with. She is up to date on all the available therapy options. My wife went in for a small skin cancer removal. Her face was in great shape before we went for in office surgery. On that day they were busy and the dr. only spent 15 minutes with her, what he left with her she now has to live with for the rest of her life. I am treating a patient who was discharged from Hand Therapy at this clinic. I asked they to fax me the therapy notes for this patient, which they did, but they care they were providing was subpar. This patient could barely move their hand, when I saw them after having been treated here for two months. I'm extremely concerned that this patient had full thickness burns on their fingers from one of the treatments. Fluidotherapy is contraindicated for people with decreased sensation, and complex regional pain syndrome... that's basic therapy safety. You shouldn't have to be worried about getting hurt when you go somewhere to get therapy! read more

Best hand Dr ever ! Will not rip you off ..great people ..that simple ..I'm so happy I found this place!!

The surgeon, Dr Fender, is great but his Occupational Therapist, Cara, has COVID and didn't think it was important to mention it until midway through my treatment. She also still had an active sinus infection that she didn't think was important to mention either. This could easily be harboring the COVID virus. She told me no need to test for COVID to see if she's safe for patients because she'll test positive. Patients have rights and full disclosure of a serious, deadly disease would be nothing if not professional and honest. I felt very deceived and trapped by the therapist who did not consider my safety or co-morbidities in the slightest. She kept saying she was following CDC except CDC guidelines say to stay home when you have an active sinus infection that requires you to sit within two feet of the patient. She did not wash her hands or use hand gel between patients, either. Extremely upset by this thoughtless, needless and unprofessional exposure. I f****** love these guys! their names are dr. Christopher and Bobby. I am a martial artist and a musician so therefore my hands Talent kind of fight each other but when I broke my hand in a boxing accident I didn't know where to turn but when I found these guys I'll turn to no one else ever again since I have found them they have repaired a major boxer fracture on my left pinky which can still now hit as hard as Bruce Lee and they repaired torn ligaments in my right hand also from my martial arts they also took out a b b from a BB gun when I was shot as a young kid nearly 20 years ago and that thing was finally taken out I never felt more relieved because that ammo round in my left hand was causing me trouble in my music ever since the day it happened. Bobby and Chris also have the same names as myself and my best friend in life so it was really not coincidence that God put these two people on this Earth as well as those they work coincide with to be the best damn poor man budget hand surgeons this entire state of Colorado has to offer! Hoping patients check Yelp before walking into Precision Plastic and Hand Surgery. Having worked in the surgical field for over 20 years, I was surprised at the lack of basic decency exhibited by Dr. Fender. Very little communication with him and what little there was, left me feeling terrible for having in some way wasted his time . . . he left the room at one point because he got so impatient with me trying to locate a lipoma on my leg when I was prone - I found it seconds later once supine, but he had left the room so I had to wait another 15 to 20 min. No alcohol prep or warning before local injections. He did not look at my incisions when I returned for suture removal - only the assistant saw me. Hoping other patients don't have similar experiences to feel like I did, but this appears to be a pattern of behavior leaving one wondering why this person went into the medical field - professionals need to treat clients like the respected and loved people they are to their families and friends, not like garbage for having sought out medical/surgical help for problems. In network? Who cares! Go to a surgeon who actually does just that - cares. We do have choices. Research yours. read more

Worse bed side manners ever! My son had surgery the doctor did not acknowledgements me that I was in the room when I was in the preop room with my son.My son waited in prop for 4 Hrs NO ONE not even the nurses knew why.. I was told the doctor would call me during the surgery to let me know how it was going or would talk to me after the surgery the doctor NEVER did. When the doctor did finally go in my son's post opp room all he said is that he will see my son at his post opp appointment. Not how the surgery went. The same thing happened after the second surgery. I had to ask the hospital staff the status of my son. VERY unprofessional!!!! read more
