This happened every 7-10 miles. We called one shop and they said we'd have to wait two weeks. They recommended that we check with Hills We limped into Hills. Doug helped us out. He found the cut in our coolant line quickly, replaced the hose and added a chafe guard where the hose had gotten cut by an engine component. And he thoroughly evaluated the cooling system before he let us go. I highly recommend this shop. Really nice folks and very reasonable repair costs, especially considering what we would have paid to a Mercedes shop.

I couldn't afford to purchase a brand new vehicle so I could only purchase what I could afford. It was getting dark. It was toward the end of the day. There was a note across the steering wheel that said unsafe car when I questioned the salesman, he says, oh, when they got this car and they forgot to take that out, they we always have those on vehicles that we purchase. He said it's all good. Don't worry, go ahead and take it for a test drive. I did, and it appeared to drive like it should have when I got back. He was pressuring me to hurry and make the purchase. Because they were going to close. And as I said, I needed a vehicle to get back-and-forth to doctor's appointments and treatment, which I had a schedule appointment the next day. So I went ahead and purchased it gave them the money I had signed up documents and I left The very next day when I got in the vehicle to go to the doctor's appointment. I had discovered a massive amount of dog care all over the vehicle. I mean, it was covered everywhere Follo.\nWed by an odor of something. I went back into the dealership and spoke with the salesman who sold the vehicle to me and asked him if he would talk to the manager or the owner, who also has dealerships, not only in Baker City Oregon, but Has the dealership of the Chevrolet in Walla Walla, Washington and the one in ellingsburg, Washington. I\n Asked him if he would ask the owner. The manager, whoever was in charge, if they would be willing to go at least half with me on having it detailed, I was told at that time, they do their own detailing, and I asked why they didn't have that car detailed and he didn't have an answer, he said that they could give me. A deal on their detailing, and he didn't know how much that would be, but it would be cheaper than if I went anywhere else and he would get back to me. 7 hours later At the very end of the day before closing, the salesman gets back to me to tell me that they are sorry they can't do anything for me. I asked, are you kidding me? You guys can't even meet me in the middle and go half with me. Because you didn't detail the car or do anything to it. He said, no I tried everything. And they just said there was no way they could do it, because I didn't finance the vehicle through them but I paid cash. I\n Called to talk to the owner Justin, I called the dealership in Walla Walla and the one in ellingsburg, to ask if he would kindly go half with me, he never returned my phone call. Please keep in mind that these are dealerships, they certainly could afford to have detailed the car or at least went half with me, I'm on a fixed income and having to pay a detailing shop here in Baker City, which tied the car up for over 2 weeks, because I had to make the appointment because there were other people before me and I certainly didn't want to drive it to my appointments in that condition. So I had inconvenienced people to please give me rides until the car was ready and clean. I haven't drove the car, it was parked all this time finally took it out for the first time here May 4th. And there's a loud noise underneath the engine. Truthfully, I feel that they took advantage of an older woman with health issues, they didn't care. They just wanted my money. My husband passed away. I had nobody to check the vehicle out. My road trip began in Chicago Illinois, and meandered for almost 2,500 Miles through some of the most beautiful places in the country. As I was approaching Baker City, Oregon, I found out that my gas was low. As I approached the first gas station that I could find, I noticed my car was making a horrible noise and it just got louder. I turned off the car and filled up the tank. When I started up the engine, the noise was even louder. Upon looking under the hood, I found out that the serpentine belt was askew. I assessed that this was the cause of the noise. I checked at the automotive shop across the street. They had nothing to help me. I jumped to my phone to see where I could get a serpentine belt for my 2003 Volvo XC70 in a small town in SE Oregon. First was NAPA Auto Parts... nope. Then I tried Carquest. The guy I talked to there said that he would have to track down the part, but that he might know a guy who could fix it. He connected me with Bill Steele of East Side Diesel. Bill had been at the Carquest picking up a part for another job. He came over to where I was at, checked out my car. He informed me that not only was the belt bad, but that also another bearing was bad. He found both parts and replaced them within 2 hours from the moment that I first spoke with him. He did an amazing job and only charged $200 for parts and labor. I felt like this was very fair. After all of this, he then left to fix the previously mentioned job. I can not stress how wonderful my experience with Bill and East Side Diesel was. He has 5 star reviews because he is that great.

He tried to sell her a 2000 ford truck that broke down on her way to Seattle. When we called him he said repair it! then when we did and sent him the bill he backed out and now refuses to pay. This guy has no city license, no state license to conduct a business. Stay away from this scam artist he should be in jail. We will be filing formal complaints with the city police chief and the Secretary of state.
