Alex was awesome. Fixed the problem and gave the doors a tune up. A few nuts/bolts were missing and those were replaced. He lubed all the wheels and both doors sound much better (I didn't realize how noisy they were). I had a broken wire in one of the sensor's that Alex fixed and the door works great. Tried to open my garage after forgetting something and it wouldn't open and I had left my keys in the house(nightmare, I know). I continued heading to church while calling my husband to see if he had his keys at work and he did not. I was officially locked out. I called precision even though Yelp said they were closed on Sundays and they gave me a window of 12-2. Well Walker Evans came out an hour before and was already working on the broken spring he diagnosed when I got home and completed it before noon. He also informed me the service was covered by warranty. If that's not exceptional service with a smile, I dunno what is. Walker you saved the day, literally! Garage door was not closing on first attempt as it should and I had assumed the motor was over 20 years old. Did some research online along with finding Precision's flyer in Valpak along with good BBB ratings. Finally called this morning and spoke with Jessica, she was courtesy and spoke clearly. She said she could have a tech at my house by noon today. Fantastic! Scott called about 5 minutes after talking to Jessica and was at my home within 20 minutes. Scott was courteous and took his time to inspect and explain details of my garage door and motor. Scott gave me no sales pressure, 3 different options, and a complete estimate (which was great because I am a "bottom line" type person). last Friday I had occasion to call Prevision Garage Door repair back out to my house. This time I needed a new motor (not surprised at all since my old one was 18 years). A young man named Brandon came and within two hours he had installed a new motor, reprogrammed my inside new wall unit, my new unit on one inside wall of my garage and my car visor. Incredibly overpriced. First, I was quoted to shut my garage one minute before saying I wasn't ready to make a decision about the overpriced repair. I was charged $450 just to shut my garage that had fallen off the track, then quoted $1600 to repair. I got a quote from another company to repair for $450 - they have already fixed it. Most of that was to fix the cables that the Precision Garage employee cut for no reason. I do not recommend their services at all. read more

Called Precision because my controller's all quit working when it was cold outside but would work when it warmed up during the day My lift master was 27 years old and I figured something had gone wrong. The technician Alexander Arcanjo came out to troubleshoot the issue. After discussing causes he gave me options to get a new board or replace with a new opener. Because of the age I chose the new opener. He had it on his truck and installed it and programmed all of my controllers to work both on this new opener and a 2nd opener that I had in a detached garage same brand. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and took his time with install making sure everything was perfect. He cleaned up everything and took it with him.I thought the price was reasonable for a new opener. He also took time to show me how to program the controller in case I needed to in the future and made sure I kept the paperwork showing how in case I would forget. He advised me that the opener has a 5 year warranty. This is the 2nd time I have called on this company and I highly recommend them . Alex was exceptional and as asset to this company. They do professional work and their service technicians are excellent. read more

A technician came to my house and immediately told me I needed to upgrade my Liftmaster without looking at anything. He adjusted some buttons on the Liftmaster because he said the slack was too tight for the door's weight. He proceeded to "oil" everything and charged me $200 saying it should be fine. He kept saying that if I have any problems in the next few weeks, I can put this payment toward a new Liftmaster. It felt like a sales pitch for $200. Exactly 7 days later, my garage door would not open at all. I called another company and they came and saw that the spring on the garage door was broken. This had nothing to do with the Liftmaster. I am furious that I gave Precision $200 for nothing and now I have to replace the spring 7 days later. Complete waste of valuable time and money. Save yourself $200 and choose another company in Craven County and surrounding areas. read more

Nice guy, $118 service charge to offer a quote (which I knew would happen) but they won't credit that charge to work done... unless you buy your parts from them. Not cool. Here's the good update: the GM called and they're refunding the charge. We're going to chalk it up to a miscommunication--which I think it was. I've been meaning to write a review about this service since they pretty much helped me out with a garage door situation. As it turns out the spring broke on our 2 car garage door, trapping one of our cars inside for a while. The service that I tried to get out and look at the door in the beginning, scheduled an appointment (one of those time window appointments) and I waited and waited until I called them and found out they didn't have me on schedule. I call this place and they fit me in... luckily one of the service techs was leaving my neighborhood so he was there in 15min. Very complete in his inspection, the service tech gave me options as "bare minimum" to overhauling the whole door... I liked that he was able to work with me and "budget". All the parts were on his truck so he was able to get started and install a new spring. Door was working within the hour.... he even looked at the garage door opener... and while we were testing it, the capacitor blew... he was able to replace that as well (even though it was just happenstance that he was there when the capacitor blew). Super satisfied with my experience and would call these guys again in a heartbeat should anything else happen to my garage door (knock on wood). read more

My door totally failed. I had a few other companies come out and price what needed to be done to fix my door. Willie Ricks comes out, and walks me through everything I needed, how Precision will fix the door, (replace it) and explained to me why my door failed. I already had an idea of what the issues where, and what needed to be done, I had a few quotes already. Willie was by far the most professional, reviewed everything, that was involved in the process. The other companies I had quoted me, came out, looked at everything wrote a quote and walked away, I felt like my business didn't matter to them, and they said just call and let us know. He explained all the new technology and even helped me program my car to open and close the door. This company is fantastic - customer service in spades AND experienced tech's! Scott came out when we had an issue with our (large & HEAVY) garage door that was freezing up. Springs needed replacing, not cheap, but Scott gave me a full analysis with forthright opinions (and openly letting me know that any suggestions were JUST that and I could decline any service if I felt I needed to wait). We had planned to repair the springs, and while expensive ($300-400) it was a true safety issue. Scott did the repairs quickly, gave me detailed run-down of all that was done, and then some. One of our garage doors lifting mechanism self-destructed. We called Precision because of the excellent on-line reviews. Their technician, Deepak, explained the immediate problems and other problems causing creaking and shaking as the door opened and closed. A gap on the ground left room for mice and birds' entry. We had had problems with both. He explained the fixes very patiently and prepared an estimate on the spot with follow-up by email. The lift/close spring system (30 years old) was replaced with a modern mechanism. New rollers and adjustments to tracks, etc. would solve the problems with uneven open/closing. He made no attempt to up-sell the motor drives. We accepted the estimate and decided to have the upgrades done to the other door. Deepak returned in a few days to do the repairs. The doors open and close like they were new. We could not be happier with our whole experience with Precision. read more

Came on time and called before arrival. No reminder on the day before as I requested. Job was to grease my springs and chain on my garage door. They wanted payment BEFORE doing any work. What? nope.... The tech did his job. I tried the door again. Same bad squeaking sound. He tried to tell me it was because I had single door.
