Makes total sense. I put up with the long delays and extra unknown charges but selling me $300 in new batteries, then leaving the boat on and returning the boat to me with the new batteries now dead was the last straw. There is a reason this guy only has a 3 star review.

He put us in a small pontoon with a 90hp on the back and no tie point for the tube line. He says he had a rope that we could stratle the motor with to make a tube work... The boat was in rough condition and actually died on us within the first 10 min out of the slip. Not only did it die but the throttle never came back so we had to struggle and get back to the dock. Paul never once answered a phone call and after payment I never heard anything from him, he wasn't even the one to show up to set us up. A good man named Dustin was there to help and even helped get us into another boat when that one took a crap. He will be who we go with from here on out and I would hope everyone reading this would give him a try! He's a good dude that served in the army and helped us big time. It is the next day and I have not heard anything from Paul on a resolution to anything.

My husband, myself and out 2 year old were wanting to book a 4 hour block. There was no option for the start time. As soon as everything was confirmed, I got an email for it starting at 5pm. IMMEDIATELY, I called to straighten it out. The man that answered was SUPER rude!!! He said that's all he had. Or he offered us a smaller boat, not a pontoon, for the same price. I told him that we were not comfortable with that with our 2 year old or going out that late. Very rude. Very disappointing considering the reviews. Our interactions with Outlaw River Rentals were indeed very smooth from drop off to pick up, everyone was friendly and professional, plus there was very helpful guidance about river conditions. This was the experience we had hoped for last year. No fault of ORR, the area is in the midst of a drought which meant drop off and pick up were from the boat ramp under the highway, because there is little current in the river. Upstream is nicer scenery but does require carrying the boat over a weir (small dam), while downstream the scenery was riverside suburbs (maybe more natural further downstream). In more normal conditions the trip involves drop off here but then riding the current downstream to a take out. There was mention of potential future drop off at Canyon Lake at what sounds like a very interesting area.

Drop off at Friday morning and pick up at Saturday evening, that was the total duration of the reservation, total cost with what were told deep discounts was $714.44. We talked on the phone and exchanged text message as they were very busy [What I was told]. Weather got pretty nasty and the river was absolutely dirty so we called and tried to cancel, didn't get a response, we sent a text message stating the request for cancellation and refund. It was accepted and the reservations were cancelled. On asking how the refund would take we were told 3-5 business days. Fast forward more than two week and I still have not heard from them. After several failed calls and text messages I have not heard back. If you are working with this company do it at your own risk. Read some more reviews after this incident and found out they have duped other folks too and have charged their credit cards multiple times.. So Lisa and Mike if you are reading this... let me just let you know what you did with us was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for!
