You can mountain bike here but the trails are better suited for hiking. The road biking however is excellent. I've rented a Trek road bike from P&P four or five times. It's a great shop with surprisingly good selection and rentals given the remote location. Prices are reasonable based on my experiences renting elsewhere. Ted (owner) and his staff are knowledgeable and helpful and know locations of good area rides. The rental bikes are lower end AL frame but are always in great condition, safe, and smooth shifting. You might want to rent a bike as awesome as your own full carbon race bike but consider it an extra challenge to ride a slightly heavier bike for a few days. If you're as awesome as you think you are it won't be an issue, right? Right. I highly recommend the shop if you are like me and can't bring your own bike. Even if you bring your own bike, you might find yourself in need of cycling gear or repairs, and this is the place you would want to go in the area.
