The lady swung the chair to face the TV and switched the channel to price is right. I told her what I wanted and 45 minutes later I got one of the best cuts I've ever had in my adult life. The best part was the warm shave with straight razor which for some reason is so difficult to come by. I usually just wait to get back to New York to get my hair cut but from now on I'm coming down the road to Eddies. By the way it's cash only, which I didn't have. I had never noticed it before, as East Lancaster Ave. businesses have disappeared frequently in the past few years (according to the guys at the barbershop, the parking situation is bad for business, but they seem to be doing alright). Like the guy said in the other review, it has that small-town, everyone-knows-everyone feel to it. I made an appointment prior to showing up, with Jermaine Reynolds, one of the three main barbers, so i didn't have to wait very long at all. Jermaine was a very welcoming guy and was easy to have a conversation with, and didn't seem to have trouble cutting my hair while talking as some barbers i have dealt with elsewhere seemed to. Mid-way through my cut, another one of the main barbers whose name was Tom came in from lunch and he also conversed with me while i sat through my cut and tended to a client. Not to make it seem like you should only go to the barber to have a friendly conversation, but I just wanted to make the point that it made me feel welcome and comfortable, as if I was good friends with the two guys and it really made my experience that much better. As for the cut itself, Jermaine did a very thorough and careful job. I could tell that he took his work very seriously and wanted to give me the best cut he could, exactly how I had asked for it. He took his time, made sure he didn't miss any spots, and I left there feeling super fresh and looking good. They don't take credit cards, and the total for my cut was $20 (a fairly simple fade cut, no shave or anything too crazy). I didn't see any posted prices, and Jermaine did a really good job so I didn't have any issue with the price. The guy in front of me only paid $10, but i walked in toward the end of his appointment so I couldn't tell if he had more or less done than I did. I'm assuming they kind of give you a price based off how long/how much work they do on you, but im not certain because I didn't ask. All in all, good place, if you look for a simple haircut but want it done crisp and clean, definitely go to All Star. I feel like everyone, especially those who appreciate small businesses and good handy work will have a good experience here.

My daughter has super blonde, barely visible eyebrows. She was horrified of getting too dark or or orange eyebrows - but Silvia tinted them the perfect shade. They turned out beautiful! Thank you!  The receptionist (I missed her name, my apologies) was the sweetest woman. Had a great conversation with her and she made my younger daughter hot chocolate as we waited.
