I just show Phil a picture of what we want and he builds it. The owner Phil Novak and his family have become great friend through this project. My experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Nearly three months ago, I asked their [former] rep at S&S Restoration about a potential roofing repair install. I was told I needed to sign a "service agreement" before they could provide an estimate. I signed based on that representation, expecting to receive a proposal. To this day, I still have not received an estimate. Despite numerous emails, phone calls, and requests for clarification for a cancellation they ignore any form. Now claim i owe them money. I repeatedly asked company's VP, Katie, and sales guy Perry to simply confirm cancellation of the paperwork but they remain silent which, now have attorney involved. *Four professional roofing companies inspected the roof and provide estimates. Not one asked to sign anything, nor clam a charge for inspecting the roof to give an estimate. My advice: be extremely careful about signing any documents, understand exactly what you are agreeing to, and ask questions before giving access to your home and, your insurance information.

M&M painting did two jobs for me - painted the garage and painted the basement ceiling (black…read moredryfall). Generally the work was good but there were a few issues: 1. Both jobs needed some touch ups as shown in the pictures. He told me to reach out to him to schedule. On the first schedule attempt, he cancelled at the last moment. On my follow up for a new time, he ignored my texts. 2. My basement lightbulbs were painted. Rather than remove them to paint in the area, they just painted my lightbulbs black. LEDs are expensive. 3. In order to clean their supplies, they used the kitchen sink, which was fine. What wasn't ok was them using the scrubbing pads I use for my dishes to wash their painting gear. I had to throw those out. 4. While I was ok to map the floor after they left to get up the black residue, I wasn't ok with one of them wandering around the first floor to observe other work being done outside. This caused me to have to clean a much larger area than necessary to get the black residue off the floor. What goes on in the rest of my space is none of their concern. You do the job. I pay you. You leave. Simple. I paid them fully in good faith that they'd come back and fix the errors. I can accept that things may not be 100%. What I can't accept is getting ignored when they've been paid but I have work that needs to be addressed. Many neighbors asked me about them as they'd see their truck outside and come over to see the work getting done. This is a new subdivision where there is a lot of opportunity. However, I've advised those neighbors to find another provider.

Without taking any time to inquire further as to the issue at hand, they immediately distanced themselves by blaming both the manufacturer and the original home builder. Their position is that they only install the pieces and have no responsibility (or knowledge, apparently?) regarding anything else. I cannot recommend Stonecrafters. Any company that does not stand behind their work, or even show interest in their customer's ongoing satisfaction, is one that I would steer clear of in the future.
