Brought my daughter here to get her hair done for prom. We booked an appointment with Natasha…read moreChipp - the natural hair guru at the salon. We were seen right on time and were in and out in about 1.5 hours. Natasha did a fantastic job with the blow out, trim and flat iron and was really friendly. The salon interior is nice and super clean and all the staff we came into contact with couldn't have been nicer.

Most AWFUL experience of my life!! Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere!…read more My mother in law purchased 2 gift certificates - 1 for a facial and the other for a "cut and color with tracy". I was given the facial certificate for my birthday. When i called to schedule my appointment, i was told they no longer had an aesthetician on staff but could apply the $100 towards any salon service. I agreed and scheduled a cut and color. When i arrived to my appointment, I was told by the owner that she could not honor the gift certificate since the aesthetician no longer worked there. My confusion was due to the fact that her business had collected the money, not the aesthetician. After going back and forth the owner agrees to cover half of the certificate's worth. I had an event to go to right after and had not washed or styled my hair so I had no choice but to get a wash and blow dry. The entire time I sat in that chair the owner was condescending, talking about me and the incident as if i was not there. After finishing I went to the receptionist to leave a tip for my stylist and was told they could not put any tips on cards? So do all of their customers pay cash? The owner approached me with an attitude, I said that i didnt think her stylist would have to suffer because of her bad management style so I would run to the bank to get cash. As i walked away she told me not to come back. This was by far the most awful salon experience of my life. Do not waste your time, this salon does mediocre work and does not deserve your time or money!!!!!!! As far as my sister in laws certificate, when she called to schedule, she explained her certificate and was told that stylist no longer worked there. She asked if anyone else could do it, they also gave her the run around, told her they could not. She called back and was able to speak to someone else, who said it would have to be the owner and their service fees started at 200. To me, this sounds like a way to take advantage of people, steal their money and not deliver on services promised.

I booked an appointment for a consultation and was pleased with the outcome of my initial meeting with Taneasha. Together we developed a plan of action for my hair that not only promoted hair growth but was also easy for me to manage as I transitioned from processed to natural hair. My experience with Posh has been nothing more than amazing. My hair has been completely transformed thanks to Taneasha and her assistant Xavi. I constantly get compliments from strangers ( all races, men and women). I highly recommend Posh Hair Designz to anyone who is looking for a total transformation in their haircare experience.

For my birthday I wanted to get my hair done (I saved for this) and feel great below the pictures of the style that I have requested and she said it was doable. Discussed her experience and that I was a good candidate for mesh integration. I proceeded with the install which she did not show me, but I thought in my head she wanted to do a reveal so I went with it. It was my birthday and was excited about having a hair style without the exposed thinning crown. midway through she showed me and I saw the exposed hairline on the scalp. She said not to worry because the hair would cover it and she turned me back around and continue with the install as she was cutting the hair I mentioned there's a lot of hair being cut off and nothing. When she finished installing the hair and cutting it and showed me what it look like. my words exactly where that looks funny and she got offended and her energy had shifted at that point I said well I wait till it's fully styled but made a reference to looking like Stuart from Saturday Night Live and she got offended started cutting even more hair and put product in my hair and when she did that, it still looked short (and nothing like the cut I requested) , but I had to leave urgently - I was there from 9 AM to just after 4 PM. Right before I left she had offered to add additional.Wefts so that i could have longer pieces if I was interested which the next day I took her up on the offer. I went back she installed longer wefts. I was happier with longer wefts and left not 100% satisfied, but it looked better than the first appointment. She added the longer wefts on Saturday and come Sunday. I went to bed woke up in the middle of the night in pain. My scalp was tender, and I couldn't sleep. I tried to bear with it thinking maybe I just have to get used to it, but throughout the day, I couldn't focus because my scalp was irritated and tender. Upon lifting the hair I could see the redness and irritation all along where the beads were at, so I sent her a message to advise and of course receive pushback ultimately two days after and I paid over $1000 to have a hair installed for my birthday, I had to have the wefts and beads removed and visited a dermatologist that advised me that was traction alopecia. The natural hair I do have left the cut is uneven. There's a lot of breakage and it will take me years to regrow my hair to a decent length and the hundreds of dollars I spent on PRP injections and caring for my scalp has now gone out the window and I'm embarrassed to be out. I can't have a wig installed as now I have to seek medical treatment (now several hundred more dollars) to rebuild what was destroyed in less than a week. I asked for a refund and she offered to provide me with $360 but offered me that at 8 PM and told me that that offer expired at 8 AM the next morning which of course I did not see until after 8 AM and by the time, I saw the message typed up a response and sent it before noon she never responded back because it was after 8 AM which her timeline was outside of business hours. but respectfully, a haircut and style I didn't even get was priced on her website at $775 and after reviewing all the charges, I pay more than that which means she didn't apply my deposit to that so the hair cost me over 1000. To avoid providing a refund and being accountable, she claimed that I agree to the hairstyle that I got, which is not true and when you look at the picture that I provided and what I got, it is vastly different. Just don't understand how someone could charge more than what's published on their website, not give the person the haircut they want destroy their hair that I walked in with and then not even offered to even provide me a wig to wear to support the regrowth. Instead, I get accused of annihilating and destroying my own hair, which is absurd to say to someone who's already invested thousands of dollars in their hair prior to their appointment and several hundred after. I hope this review helps anybody who has alopecia and is seeking a stylist and maybe my experience will save you from the despair and damage that I went through.

Coming back to update. It's been almost a year and my hair has still not recovered…read more I had to remove my extensions completely to try to give my hair the best opportunity to recover. I will be starting PRP injections soon in order to attempt to stimulate growth. It is looking like my hair will never be the same. I have not been reimbursed for the extensions which were ruined by this salon not to mention the damage inflicted on my real hair. The only thing they offered me was to come back in so that they could fix the issue by giving me free tape-in extensions (notoriously horrible for fine, thin hair like I've said multiple times that I have). Hysterical. If you want to leave a salon with your hair still in your head don't go here. Not sure how to respond to the comment posted on my review so responding here: Stephen, Why would you think that I would want to come back to your salon after the malpractice that occurred both the original time I came AND when I came to get them fixed? I initially DID come back in to get my hair fixed and your stylists response was to bobby pin the extensions back in. I also sent you and your manager both multiple photos of what had occurred. I was not asking for a free fix to my hair (I do not want anyone at your salon touching my hair again), I was asking for you to replace the extensions which your stylist objectively ruined costing me approximately $2,000 in order to replace them. Your manager saw them in person, there's photos posted in my first review, and I texted you pictures of them. Please check our text thread and my previous review since there seems to be some confusion. The multiple sew-in wefts were not supposed to be in one spot, layered, or folded like your stylist did. That was not my preferred method either. K-tips are also not good for fine, thin hair which is why I've gone with sew-ins prior to coming to your salon. Once again, I would never go off of your recommendations or judgement as I prefer a competent, responsible stylist which I have luckily found. That is who has advised me of the above. Furthermore, you have not responded to my last four texts regarding this matter.

Grace did a wonderful job on "blending in" my roots for a low Maintenance touch up…read more The only thing I would mention that wasn't 5 star: I needed to use the restroom so once I came back to get my hair under heat for the blonde highlights - the fan was on and when I was taking a seat my hair got caught and tangled. I decided to book a partial highlight service after a previous consultation I had with a stylist…read morethere. Initially, I thought everything was going well, but I noticed she was teasing the highlighted sections of my hair. She also told me she needed to overlap some areas on the ends of my hair, meaning she would be putting bleach over previously lightened hair. While I know that can sometimes be a technique, I also know it can increase the risk of breakage. I naturally have very knot-prone hair, so when it was time to rinse, my hair was an extremely tangled mess. She proceeded to brush through my hair to detangle it, but it felt more like my hair was being ripped through than gently combed. Halfway through, she decided it would be better if I sat in a chair instead. She then spent roughly 20 minutes brushing my already compromised, wet hair. After that, she applied a root smudge followed by a glaze, and once again my hair became completely tangled. The teasing was the source of the issue, and I was never asked if I was comfortable with that technique. As she continued brushing through the knots, I saw an alarming amount of my hair falling into my lap and onto the floor. She then blow-dried my hair, but the dryer was held so close that the heat felt excessive. She also cut my hair using thinning shears without asking me first. I came in with very thick hair and left feeling like I had lost nearly half of its density. I did like the tone of my color--or at least what was left of my hair--but in my opinion, it wasn't worth it. Trying to stay optimistic, I convinced myself everything was fine and scheduled a second appointment because I had an event coming up. I wish I hadn't. When I arrived, I waited nearly 20 minutes while she finished with clients before me. There was no acknowledgment that she was running behind or even a simple apology. At the start of the appointment, I politely told her that I didn't want my hair teased this time. I could tell she was offended. For the next two hours, she barely spoke to me except to tell me where to sit. Unlike my first appointment, she didn't ask if I wanted my hair styled, barely blow-dried it, and didn't take any photos. Considering the salon is very active on social media and almost every stylist posts photos of their clients, the difference in how I was treated felt hurtful. Overall, I left feeling disappointed--not only with the condition of my hair, but with the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the experience.
