He brought it over, the unit was scratched and had gunk stuck to the bottom of the speaker. I said to him that it is a used item - but TS Mike said it is a service model. Which meant that it had been sitting in their office being used for the last however long. I didn't buy it, but I had wasted 30 minutes travel each way. No apology forthcoming. Stay away and use the internet. And don't use this company.

Now, I must say I've DJed for many years so have a decent understanding of sound equipment and some of the technical aspects and what I like and don't like, but those guys didn't know that. Prepared for the worst, I visited with a friend who worked here many years ago. I was in the market for a new wifi stereo amp and speakers, and the staff was polite without being demeaning, and answered my endless questions. The listening lounge was busy and as I wanted to test out some speakers, they were gracious enough to hook up 2 or 3 different sets for me to hear ....none of which I got in the end as I didn't like them. Nonetheless, I did purchase an awesome Marantz amp. Overall I found the prices to be fair , some things were on the high side but they have regular deals/sales. I'm in the market now for a 'smart' TV and will probably return there to buy it.

I am however never going to shop here again due to how they treated me recently. An amplifier that I bought from here 12 years ago has stopped working so have taken it for repair and they charged me £40. An 'engineer' called me about a week later and said he couldn't repair the amp due to needing a part that he isn't able to obtain due to how old the amp is. I return to the store to pick up the amp but am told that the £40 is non refundable! There is no mention of this on the receipt I have been given and I'm told I can have £20 off a new amp from the store. The reason i am given is that they need to pay the engineer £20 for opening up the amp. When I raise the point that if the engineer knew that the amp was too old too repair then why did he open it up and thus they charge me, surely the store knew that his amp was too old to repair and therefore should have just advised me of this when I first came in. Poor service provided and no sympathy with the customer at all, not something I am pleased about and definitely would advise any potential customers to be aware of this before buying any expensive tech from here!

Tele's are getting cheaper and you can buy them just about anywhere these days, but these guy's know there stuff. I am sure that you could spend hours on the web, researching and finding one slightly cheaper, but it probably comes from outta Mongolia and will take a year to get to you. Richer Sounds are a professional outfit, offering all the mainstream brands of t.v., hi-fi, speakers etc etc. Pricewise I think they are good, as I said I am sure you could get it cheaper but you may only save a few quid and won't have the no nonsense approach to returns and any problems that you experience. Went in there the other day as it was a new shop and I have been thinking about a new t.v. and found the service and prices both to be excellent.

The store manager should be nationally recognised as a bastion of truly great customer service. I really should have popped across the road, bought him a pint and dropped it back at the shop for him.
