While looking to write a review online I found that it has its own wikipedia page (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hühnerkirche). Definitely worth the trip especially if you're looking for a break from the city life in Frankfurt. Although the location can be a bit far the restaurant is located by wonderful woods which makes it a great spot for hiking. My personal favorite was the house-made boehmische knödel (which I have not yet found at any other German restaurants so far). They also serve locally brewed beer which accompanied my meal nicely. The prices are fair, as the portions are pretty big, compared to other restaurants in Germany. Though over-all the atmosphere did seem a bit dated it added to the authenticity.

It has been my experience that Thai Express is pretty popular in the Frankfurt area, so one could have some difficulty getting a table at busy times. However, its popularity is a good sign as to the quality of the food. Thai Express does have a weird ordering procedure: you order everything that you want from the menu board at the counter including drinks; then you pay; then they give you your drinks and a number; you find somewhere to sit; and then they bring you the food when it is ready; then the staff don't bother you again unless you ask for them. The food, however, is always the highest quality. I will keep going back to Thai Express Kelkheim. (Thai Express has recently changed its name to 'My Thai')
