My Mayo Family Med doctor referred me to Active PT. What a blessing that was. I made an appointment with Kayla and have had nothing but success. I have seen her 1-2 times a week for a month and she has taught me various exercises that has resolved my pain. She also applied cupping to my muscles and that has helped as well. I had very little office time with him. The one meeting I had I did not ask specific questions about the surgery when he invited questions.. At my hesitation, Dr. Elder volunteered information that was the most important for me to have. He is kind, observant and spontaneously thoughtful. Before meeting him, I had educated myself by reading his scholarly articles and his collaborations with others. Afterwards, I viewed his elaborate ppt lectures accessible on YouTube . On the basis of this research, I felt like I know him and can trust him fully. That feeling of TRUST in his expertise, intentions and purposes sustained me through the procedure (TLIF on April 10, 2026), as well as 3 weeks of post-op and subsequent self monitoring. I am most impressed by his dazzling brilliance, diagnostic acuity, deep knowledge, combined with his commitment to getting it all surgically right for the patient. That is the mark of a great surgeon and I strongly recommend him.
