We were in line for 30 mins because the girl that was 15 didn't know how to do the card swipe and there was no adults around. the candy was too expensive and the movie screen is as big as a regular sized tv. the tickets and the combo plus two boxes of candy is 40 bucks. never going to buy candy or a combo from there again. the popcorn is too salty and makes you have an upset stomach. Yes I am from out of town. I watched Iron Man 3 at the Prairie Theatre on May 4th. I was very impressed. Bring cash to keep the flow going at the concession stand but once inside the theatre it was great. Of course the second day of Iron Man 3 was a sellout, it was impressive to watch how the people moved around to accomodate late commers. The concession stand has a particularly good selection and its prices are far better than in big cities or even medium size cities. For Iron Man 3 my wife and I went by the theatre repeatedly worried it would be sold out but in fact we parked literally right next to it within 40min of opening and walked right in. So if in the future you are visiting Ogallala first I would recommend this theatre, and second don't worry too much about big movies.; There was plenty of time to get seats. read more

I love this theatre! It's a small town, old school theatre, that only has two movies at a time. It's all about the experience though! Even when you can hear the other movie playing. This theatre is also incredibly cheap! $6 for an adult ticket. The coffee is outstanding as well. Probably the best you'll get in town. I have never had a problem with them selling out, and the staff is always friendly. read more

I was really impressed with theatre. Owners are really nice people. Asked one of them the history of theater which was really interesting. It's a small theater which it is a little town. I love that however. Everyone was very respectful in the movie no talking no cell phone use. Prices were extremely reasonable I spent $70 with 7 kids, hubby and I. Watched Star Wars VII while I was stranded in Ogallala. It is really cool to see a small town playing new releases, and the price was very low: $6 for adults and $4 for kids. Nice. The only issue was that I could clearly hear the movie playing next door during the quieter parts of the one I was watching. read more

Charming little theater and $6 is a good price for new release movies. You can hear some loud scenes from the second screen next door but I didn't mind that much. I would come back for sure. Refreshments were reasonably priced although we didn't order any having just eaten amazing Chinese food at Pekings nearby. read more
