An impressive supply of Wilton piping tips, paste colours, letter press set and more, it will turn a novice into an almost perfect Nigella Lawson. Well almost! Party planning fanatic Mums like me will find a good selection of cupcake toppers, candles in every shape and form, cupcake kits, cake boards, chocolate trays and every other cake paraphernalia you can think of. There's a computer in the shop for browsing their wide range of cake tins, a good stock of piping nozzles, cute and colourful flower shaped cake toppers and icing tools to help you create that masterpiece you've always dreamt of. Mums can easily shop at a relaxed pace as little ones amuse themselves in the kids' corner. The staffs were utterly helpful plus they gave me plenty of encouragement and baking tips on baking the perfect soccer cake. Not bad for customer service eh! I'm happy to report the cake turned out well and I received plenty of compliments during my son's birthday party. A small and intimate shop, it truly exudes a sense of community spirit as you recognize the customers that throng this shop frequently. It certainly lives up to its name.

Complete Cake Decorating Supplies isn't as classy as stores like Creative Cooks, Wheel & Barrow, and General Trader but their range is just so extensive. You can find the big brand names like Wilton, but there are also plenty of no-name brands and local ones as well. They stock everything from cake mix, to chocolate moulds, to patty pans. They're also one of the cheapest places in Adelaide to buy cake pop sticks. If you have a food business then you're in luck, and can get wholesale pricing, but event if you don't the prices are still incredibly reasonable. As well as buying up everything you need the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. It's definitely one to keep in mind next time you want to get creative in the kitchen.

First was told that there was a mix up and the company missed my order on Tuesday but had been picked up that morning. Further into conversation was told that it was still waiting to be picked up. I then said I was going to be in Adelaide the next day and I could pick it up instead because it was an urgent order which is why I paid for express. I was told that they needed to speak with their manager and then call me back. There was no call back. Come to today, the following Monday and my parcel has finally arrived, a week after ordering and paying for express. The contents however are incorrect. I have called them again. I need to wait and call them back tomorrow though because apparently there are a lot of online orders and they can't talk to me about mine. They also need to speak with whoever packed my order. Very very uncooperative. I asked to speak with the manager. Was told that the manager probably wouldn't want to talk with me. I was put on hold. Dead silence for 15 minutes before I hung up. So I've paid for an order with express shipping. Incorrect order delivered, was not treated as express and unwilling to help rectify the problem. Definitely do not recommend this company.
Bulk is bigger and better!…read more Having frequented Gaganis for years it has become my monthly ritual shop to stock up on raw foods. Fortunately they extended the trading hours on Saturdays to 2.30pm awhile ago so that there is no longer a mad dash down Port Rd on Saturday mornings. Excellent prices and and a great range of Mediterranean/European food keep me coming back. I'm obviously a fan but not alone - nearly the entire Greek/Italian population of Adelaide pass through this enormous warehouse regularly. If you are in the market for continental meats, cheese, coffee, bread, olive oil, nuts, seeds, herbs, condiments, baking items etc etc - this is the place to head. The more obscure can also be found ... canned chipotles, dried cherries, a whole sauerkrauted cabbage and maraschino cherries with stems were all noted on a recent visit. (They have also extended their range of Indian foods.) New to Gaganis is the Greek equivalent of Bunning's sausage sizzle. Daily you can smell the enticing smell of grilled beef chevapchichi, warmed pita, onions and a continental salad wafting through the car park. Certainly more tempting and less fattening (maybe?) and definitely more entertaining (the Greek chef always has an anecdote) than the more conventional Aussie alternative! Beware: Christmas and Easter are potentially fraught as the car park overflows and tempers fray!!

Groan ... and it's always when you're about to have guests over for coffee :P I own a Jura ENA7, and a brilliant little machine it is too. Unfortunately, I still have to buy descaling tablets, cleaning tablets and water filters. The first time I had to do so, the local 'big name' electrical superstore had completely run out of all Jura accessories. I found out the Fine Choice Distribution had a small store in the city, and decided to take a walk one lunchtime. Not only were the staff very friendly and helpful, but the products were slightly cheaper than the aforementioned large store. I'd much prefer supporting small businesses anyway, so this was great news. They also sell coffee beans and coffee machines, and even have an online store. They also service Jura coffee machines, which is always good to know. A hidden gem!

Before awarding this job I searched and asked for quotes from many printers online. So many websites lure you with an amazing deal but only to find out it didn't include one thing or another. This company deserves more business and they will have all our business from now on. The Printing Hub are located on Magill Road down and across from the Maid, and I found they had not only low prices but a very fast turnaround from ordering to pick up. And sells booze. Lots of it. Ohhh Italian food makes me so happy. Italian wines make me even happier. Here they sell many varieties that I haven't see in bottle shops in Australia (as well as some local wines that you do see around). They have a huge range of spritzers and flavoured liqueurs. And they do a lot of deals if you buy in bulk. Half of the store is canned and packaged goods, very similar to Gaganis Bros in terms of product, price and set out. It feels very much like a wholesaler in this part. The section that got me really excited was the enormous deli. They have two separate delis here, one for cured meats and cheeses and antipasto, and another for meats. And they are both huge. Their prices here are not overly cheap, but the quality looks great. Then there is the frozen section, with finger-food, fish, frozen veges and frozen fresh pasta. I was giddy after a while spent browsing through the whole place. I desperately wanted to eat everything! (Preferably cooked, but some I would chow straight into.) And, of course, there is a sweets section, mostly biscotti. I find the sweets one of the least exciting things about Italian cooking, but if you like them, there are plenty of authentic tasties here. If only it were a little cheaper, this would be my new favourite place on earth. Or at least in the Adelaide Western Suburbs.

Janesce is a high-end skin care range who believe in "beauty through nutrition"…read more According to a couple of people I know, their products are very soft and cleanse your skin thoroughly without drying it out. They noticed a lot of difference in the first week. Personally, I find their products good but slightly overrated. I've used Dermalogica before and it's much more effective on my skin. It definitely didn't irritate my skin which is good because my skin is extremely sensitive, but I just saw more results with Dermalogica. Then again, it's personal preference really. I've come here a couple of times to check out their products, which are pretty expensive mind you. The daily essentials like facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser can range from $30 to around $90.
