What a great recommendation it turned out to be! The cobblers did an outstanding job replacing the sole and heel, effectively adding another good few years of comfortable work wear out of a very reliable pair of legendary boots. In closing, I'd certainly encourage anyone with footwear needing repair to seek out the Ideal Shoe Store team. They will not disappoint. Moreover, their rates are very reasonable

It was the best price I could find at the time and having worked down the road it was a eureka moment when I found it was there in store. Ideal Shoe Repair performs a great service to the local residents, workers and passers by as they cut keys and repair leather goods and the prices are reasonable. Besides selling hand bags they also sell lugguage and accesories like belts, shoe laces, shoe inserts and scraves plus jewellery and umbrellas. Being a dealer in leather they also sell leather protection such as polish, sprays and sealants for leather and suede, even motor bike accesories. Service is fast and friendly and keys are cut on the spot unless there's a few to do and depending on their work load, but overall a great long standing shop which has recently seen a facelift.

First was told that there was a mix up and the company missed my order on Tuesday but had been picked up that morning. Further into conversation was told that it was still waiting to be picked up. I then said I was going to be in Adelaide the next day and I could pick it up instead because it was an urgent order which is why I paid for express. I was told that they needed to speak with their manager and then call me back. There was no call back. Come to today, the following Monday and my parcel has finally arrived, a week after ordering and paying for express. The contents however are incorrect. I have called them again. I need to wait and call them back tomorrow though because apparently there are a lot of online orders and they can't talk to me about mine. They also need to speak with whoever packed my order. Very very uncooperative. I asked to speak with the manager. Was told that the manager probably wouldn't want to talk with me. I was put on hold. Dead silence for 15 minutes before I hung up. So I've paid for an order with express shipping. Incorrect order delivered, was not treated as express and unwilling to help rectify the problem. Definitely do not recommend this company.

Bulk is bigger and better!…read more Having frequented Gaganis for years it has become my monthly ritual shop to stock up on raw foods. Fortunately they extended the trading hours on Saturdays to 2.30pm awhile ago so that there is no longer a mad dash down Port Rd on Saturday mornings. Excellent prices and and a great range of Mediterranean/European food keep me coming back. I'm obviously a fan but not alone - nearly the entire Greek/Italian population of Adelaide pass through this enormous warehouse regularly. If you are in the market for continental meats, cheese, coffee, bread, olive oil, nuts, seeds, herbs, condiments, baking items etc etc - this is the place to head. The more obscure can also be found ... canned chipotles, dried cherries, a whole sauerkrauted cabbage and maraschino cherries with stems were all noted on a recent visit. (They have also extended their range of Indian foods.) New to Gaganis is the Greek equivalent of Bunning's sausage sizzle. Daily you can smell the enticing smell of grilled beef chevapchichi, warmed pita, onions and a continental salad wafting through the car park. Certainly more tempting and less fattening (maybe?) and definitely more entertaining (the Greek chef always has an anecdote) than the more conventional Aussie alternative! Beware: Christmas and Easter are potentially fraught as the car park overflows and tempers fray!!

I was originally attracted to the big spiders for hanging on the wall, because they are kind of unusual and not so real they'd freak you out; upon closer inspection the shop is crammed full of all sorts of really wonderful odds and sods. Bangles, beads, book ends, wall hangings, candle sticks, sarongs, bags, a few baskets; all pretty much imported stuff from all over the place. Not too expensive and a great variety of things. African carvings and probably Indonesian, Indian, some Australian as well, I've been in several time and still see stuff I didn't notice the first and last time, if you get what I mean. It is a family business (as in wife and husband), so you can rely on them if you are looking for something unusual to help you out - they know their stock pretty well and since so much of it is wood they do a fair amount of polishing and keeping things fresh. I really like wood so I really enjoy having a look through this shop. Some items are quite small and then they vary in size through to really large features objects like elephants and giraffes. Its fun browsing and hard to visit without seeing something you want to take home, so be warned!

Kim Wang Asian Grocery - Best pork cuts in the market! Cheap too!

They have an extensive range of products from China, Hong Kong, Japan and more - so if you're looking for something exclusive to a national cuisine, chances are they'll have it. One of the things I love about Asian supermarkets in general is that the prices are dirt cheap. You could walk into Kim Wang with ten dollars and walk out with your next three meals in a shopping bag, maybe even a few goodies for in between. In addition to a huge selection of food, the supermarket also stocks a lot of homeware and kitchen utensils, such as wooden steam pots and Chinese crockery. This place has it all, and it will always have a special place in my heart!

Not only is it often colourful and elaborate, but most of the time I have no idea what is inside! It is like Asian food Russian Roulette! Kim Wang is probably the biggest Asian Supermarket around, both in size and variety. They have a a crazy amount of sauces and noodles, but the coolest part for me is the range of cooking/kitchen stuff and the range of drinks. Not only are there cordials and flavourings, but there are also a whole heap of really odd drinks with floaty bits that are really funky to drink (The Basil Seed and Dragon fruit drinks are quite an experience). There is also a butcher section where you can get hooked up with all of the cuts you need for most Asian dishes, plus the odd bit of offal if you are down with that kind of chewyness. The one down side for me is the selection of frozen dumplings etc. which you would expect to be huge considering the rest of the store. It isn't crap, but it is just average, and there are certainly better selections around.

The perfect place to get gifts for your loved ones (Insert sarcasm here). But really, it is a handy store to have in the mall, not as frustrating to get to as the Cheap as Chips out yonder. I find myself going there to buy wrapping paper or sticky tape or the kinds of things that don't NEED to be of superior quality. The staff are no doubt in borderline slave labor. Please be forgiving if they do not have those fake cheery retail smiles you have come to love from other stores. Cheap products, and cheap service, but that is to be expected.

It was fast approaching 5pm, when I suddenly remembered one last thing! Zing! I told my best friend that I needed one more thing before I went home. I told her: "Xmas shopping makes me go nuts sometimes! Figuring out what to get my loved ones is half the battle, and then having to find a shop that actually sells decent wrapping paper!!" My best friend resorted to taking me to this store and she found for me a nice Xmas box for only $2. She said after with a very serious expression, "The Reject Shop never fails. You don't need to buy much this Xmas, or need expensive wrapping paper." (Note that because I only had notes, when I opened up my wallet, my countless 5cents coins flew up in the air, and all over the ground. How embarassing! It had to happen in the Reject shop, out of all stores! Luckily my best friend helped with the picking up of all my silver Aussie coins and we recovered quickly!) I gave this store an extra star, because from time to time I do find this store useful when running low on funds. As self-confident and highly independent as I am, we can all benefit big time with the extra wisdom, support and help from our best friends, especially over this Xmas holiday season, when most of us have hit hard financial times. Remember that.

Outstanding selection of funny and uncommon greeting cards. A tad pricey, but not unfairly so. There are some homeware items for a couple of hundred bucks, but I'd say the majority of items are priced under $50 with plenty of selection for under $30. The staff is fine and professional, but I've never received '5 star' service. There's been a few things that have irked me over the years, but nothing I could mention without sounding too anal.
