The prices were always fair-- almost cheap, honestly. Everyone we ever dealt with has been wonderful. They've tried to always accommodate my dog when we needed an unexpected last-minute appointment-- which was kind of a lot because she had a few health issues over the years. They were always so nice and loved on her even though she was a bit of a bad girl. When we had to put my dog down very unexpectedly, they tried very hard to save her. But also, they were honest about no heroics. I mean, they really could've gotten a lot of money out of me to save her, but Dr Moon was honest that it was time to let her go. Over the last nine years, they were all just so good and sweet to her. To be honest, even driving by there, I kind of want to cry even though it's been a few months. But I will always be appreciative to everyone there for being so good to my dog.

When did the rules change!. Don't they know that 2 kittens can have 4 cats each , we now would have 8 , they have 4 cats each that's ...32 cats......please,you do the math. Now I have 2more babies. Maybe make it more about the animals, then make it so nice for us to sit in. I've being going here since Dr. Lee was at the other location. He would see anyone that really needed help. I needed antibiotics for one of my other cats. They denied it without contacting me to come in.

I don't even think my dog knew he was at the vet (for real!) The team here is equally incredible. They're warm, professional, and genuinely care. They take the time to walk you through everything and make sure your dog is comfortable from start to finish, and you can just tell everyone is really passionate about what they do. It's rare to find this level of consistency and care across multiple locations. I trust them completely with my dog and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this office to anyone looking for top-tier care.

Each time I tried looking for a new place, I would come across disturbing reviews about just about every veterinary clinic. I was stuck. This time, when I did my round of searches, I found Green Dog. I had nothing to lose and scheduled a wellness appointment for my Ridgeback. From start to finish, I was blown away. This was a true 5-star experience. We checked in with the friendliest staff and were immediately taken to our own private waiting room! I didn't have to sweat and strain to keep my 100+ lb boy from trying to sniff and annoy other dogs or try to run for the door. At this point, I would have been fine waiting longer than expected like is the norm at other places. But I didn't have to. Like a well-oiled machine, the appointment moves with a vet tech and usual questions about your pet's health and concerns. Another surprising thing: I was asked if I wanted any written prescriptions to go so I could shop around. I have never had this offered at a vet clinic; I have always had to ask for this - and then wait, and wait, and WAIT until I received it. My baby saw Dr. Candice Habawel. She came out with him after his exam and we talked (with zero rush) about all the things I could do to help his teeth, skin, weight. She was kind and attentive. When I left to pay, I noticed that there was an employee whose job it was to just keep the place sanitized and clean. I also really appreciated that. After this experience, I don't think I can go anywhere else. My eyes have been opened to the knowledge that veterinary visits don't have to be a horrible experience. My only concern is that I hope they don't get so busy that any part of their service changes.

I wanted to help her and do what was right, but this place completely shattered my trust. From the moment we arrived, she was weak and moving slowly. Instead of being honest and telling us that the kindest, most humane option would be to let her go peacefully, they insisted on doing a long list of tests -- over $700 worth -- knowing full well she was on her last breath. The next day, the doctor called with the results and said she was very sick and recovery chances were extremely slim. Then came the question: Did I want them to put her to sleep? I told them I wanted to be there with her, and I also made it clear that I was very unhappy with how the situation had been handled. The receptionist quoted me $300 for euthanasia, and I reluctantly agreed, even though I already felt taken advantage of. When I arrived, I expressed again how wrong this felt -- that they had used our love and emotions to squeeze out every dollar they could before admitting the truth. They guided me to a small room and told me to wait so I could be there with her. After several minutes, the doctor came in with a sad look and told me... she had already died. No one called. No one checked in sooner. No one seemed to care. Yes, they refunded the euthanasia fee -- but that doesn't undo what they did. My wife and I left heartbroken -- not just from losing a sweet soul who trusted us, but from realizing how cold and unethical this place truly is. They took advantage of compassion, made money off a dying animal, and then delivered the news like it was nothing. I will never take another animal here. They showed no honesty, no empathy, and no integrity.

When I asked the veterinary…read moreassistant to wear gloves while administering vaccinations, she responded by saying, "I don't want your leukemia." Following that comment, her demeanor changed noticeably. She appeared visibly irritated and began handling items abruptly and slamming equipment, which created an uncomfortable environment during the appointment. My request was simply about comfort and hygiene, not a challenge to her expertise. I found both the comment and the behavior unprofessional. As a result of this interaction, I chose not to proceed with the full rounds of vaccinations and treatments we had planned and completed only the examinations. I had fully intended to continue all care with your clinic. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will no longer be returning after more than 20 years as a client. This was not a decision I anticipated making, but the interaction significantly impacted my trust and comfort moving forward. I'm sharing this feedback so it can be addressed and to help ensure future clients feel respected and comfortable when asking reasonable questions during their visits.

We had a very disappointing experience at Pet Orphans of Southern California. We adopted a dog…read morethrough spcaLA and were referred there for his neuter procedure, which was required as part of the adoption agreement. The issues began at drop-off. I arrived on time at 8:30 a.m., but there was a long line of owners and dogs waiting outside. Many of the dogs appeared to be puppies, fosters, or newly adopted pets still adjusting and difficult to manage. I waited approximately 20 minutes while trying to control my 65-pound dog. When I reached the front, staff said they had no record of our appointment and asked, in an unprofessional manner, whether I had completed the intake form that was supposedly emailed to me. I had never received it. I was then handed paperwork to complete on-site while continuing to manage my dog in a crowded environment. On the form, I disclosed that my dog had been experiencing chronic diarrhea since being picked up as a stray, that we were actively working with our veterinarian to identify the cause, and that our veterinarian had cleared him for surgery. Staff then told me they would not proceed if he had diarrhea. I explained that this condition predated the adoption, that the neuter was required by the shelter, and that we had already obtained veterinary clearance. Staff repeatedly went back and forth between me and the veterinarian before eventually presenting a high-risk consent form. The communication around this was especially concerning. When the form was presented, I was told that by signing it, I was accepting that if anything happened to my dog, it would be my fault. I understand that additional risks can exist, but this was handled in a dismissive and inappropriate manner. If the clinic had sent the intake paperwork in advance or reviewed the medical concerns beforehand, this could have been addressed prior to my driving an hour from West Adams to Van Nuys with a dog who does not travel well. I was also disappointed that additional charges were presented for items such as an e-collar, pain medication, and IV fluids. For a required adoption procedure, these added costs felt excessive. Pick-up was similarly poor. When my dog was returned, a staff member commented, "Make sure to take care of the diarrhea because he still has it," despite our earlier detailed discussion of the condition and treatment plan. While loading him into the car, I noticed feces on his cone, tail, and legs. This suggested he had soiled himself and had not been adequately cleaned before discharge, which was both upsetting and concerning from a sanitation and post-operative care standpoint. Overall, this experience reflected poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate attention to patient care. I would not return to Pet Orphans of Southern California and would not recommend this clinic to others. I also plan to share this experience with spcaLA so they are aware of the concerns regarding this referral partnership.

"Compassionate, professional, and affordable care"…read more I can't say enough good things about Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center during one of the hardest moments of my life. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my dog due to his illness, and from the very first call, they were kind, understanding, and compassionate. I had called around to multiple veterinary clinics all over the San Fernando Valley, and not only did they have the best pricing, but they were also able to accommodate me the very next day, which meant everything during such a difficult time. They treated my dog with dignity and treated me with patience and care when I needed it most. I truly felt supported and never rushed. If you are facing an incredibly painful decision and need a veterinary team that is compassionate, professional, affordable, and responsive, I highly recommend Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center. I am so grateful for them.

After my experience on March 14th, I will never set foot in this building again. I called to make the agonizing, gut-wrenching decision to say a final goodbye to my dog. After being put on hold and then hung up on, I finally reached a staff member who was the definition of a heartless robot. While I was in the middle of a life-shattering crisis, this man treated me with a "car dealer" coldness that was frankly disgusting. He actually had the audacity to tell me I "picked a horrible day" to come in because they were "so busy on Saturdays." Let me be very clear: Nobody "picks" the day their beloved pet dies. It is a tragedy, not an "inconvenience" for your weekend schedule. To be talked to like a nuisance during my most vulnerable moment is a shameful failure of basic human decency. The fact that he only attempted to flip a switch and be "kind" once he realized I was a regular patient is even more insulting. Compassion shouldn't be a tiered service based on your database--it should be a requirement for the job. If you work in a veterinary office and can't summon a shred of empathy for a grieving owner, you are in the wrong profession. You do not get to be a rude, inconsiderate robot when people are saying goodbye. I found an amazing, truly compassionate vet elsewhere who handled this difficult time with the grace my dog deserved. I am moving all of my other pets to that practice and will never look back. If you are looking for an ounce of empathy during a crisis, stay far away from this place.
