Kevin's above and beyond service was great, but I also got the impression that this high level of work is something the entire company strives for on every job they do. The only reason I have it is because it is the only service available for where I live. I call for support and each time they run through "fixing it" with me. All they do is ask me to un plug it and plug it back in or hit the reset button on the modem. That's the first thing I do when it stops working. Then they say they will have someone come look at it but can't until the next day. I called around 10:30 am for help and they said no one could come until around 1pm-5pm the following day. Ridiculous. If you are going to have a POS service, at least make up for it with a faster troubleshooting person. People have things to do that internet is required for. Can't sit for 30 hours waiting for help.

When I moved to Rochester, MN, I had to get various services set up. I got my cable and internet services from Charter Communications. Back then, to get them set up, you couldn't do it over the phone. In a way, I was glad because I didn't have that service set up at the time, either! I went to the closest Charter location to get both services set up. It made sense to go with cable internet at the time. I could have the same company for both my TV and internet. I went with a deluxe channel lineup for my TV. When I got a DirectTV account, I downgraded to basic channels with Charter. It worked perfectly. I don't remember any full cable outages. I always got to see my TV shows. My cable internet service wasn't perfect. When it was down, it was down. Luckily, I didn't have the need to work from home. However, when you're trying to do tasks online and you can't, it was a pain. When I moved back to Winnipeg, cancelling my services was smooth. I was pleased. I hope that internet services offered by Charter are more stable these days. Otherwise, I had a good experience with the TV side. (51)
