See the link below for what Lelch feels is $1,000 worth of work…read more My basement already has Cat-5 wired throughout it and I wanted it to be connected to the internet. The rep showed up and looked at the jacks in the walls, saw them going into the utility room (into an outdated cat-5 switch) and determined that another rep should come out to "set it all up". I then get an email with a bid of $675 and although I felt that was high, I told them to go ahead. Another rep came out, cut off the ends of the already wired cat-5 cords, put ends on them, put them into a switch, and placed them in what I was told as a "compact" box that would make it look nice. They then tested the connections and were on their way. The next day I get a bill for $980 and come to find out every visit, regardless of work, starts at $150 and for that first "consolation" (which was the tech and I speaking for 45 minutes and the rep offering to put two covers on two outlets) costed me $335. Well that was news to me and I was not once told anything about that. The actual box that is supposed to make this whole project, "look nice" is huge, unnecessary, and actually makes it look worse. Then the rep just puts the modem on top, leaves all the old stuff still on the wall, and was done. If you feel that the value added work of testing the cat-5 connections already in the house, cutting the ends off of the preinstalled cat-5 cords, putting ends on them, plugging them into a switch, and then placing the switch into a huge unnecessary box is worth $1,000 to you, then you will get what you paid for. What a joke https://imgur.com/a/f2dzg1Y

My installation experience, product experience (excluding the Control 4 remote), and suppprt/help…read morefollowing the installation have been solid from the entire Lelch team. To be candid, the Control 4 experience is hands down the single component preventing me from giving five stars. The experience with this device has been a challenge. I would highly recommend Lelch for their customer first approach. I would urge you to consider what exactly you're looking for out of a universal system and evaluate whether the Control 4 unit is best for your needs and design.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I should of done more research on this company before…read morehiring them. In a nut shell: very poor response to inquiries, poor customer service, lack of attention to detail, and fraudulent billing practices. In detail: Hired them to run a 220 outlet for a dryer in my basement. Informed the electrician twice to be aware of the laundry shoot that was very close to breaker box. Total time in my home was 20 min. Bad: They ran the wire through the center of the laundry shoot, so I had to relocate the wire (poor attention to detail). I was also billed for 2 hours of labor for 20 minutes of work. (Fraudulent billing practice). I then had to call them to return because when I would run the dryer, a breaker would blow (even though they installed a new breaker for the dryer line). Took 3 days to get a call back, with me leaving a voicemail every day for 3 days. Same electrician returned, said his boss would have to come check it out, but he was out of the office on vacation. Took another week and half to get a call from the owner (after multiple voicemail messages left by me). Owner says he will stop by after 2 pm the following day. I cleared my schedule and stayed home that next afternoon.....no show or call. Took 2 more days to get a call back that was riddled with excuses about being busy. Finally, same electrician as before, returned with his journeyman in tow to re-run a new line from my garage to basement. Owner said work would take about 2 hours (without seeing my home, as he never did come by) and the line would be $2 a foot. I informed the owner that I would not be available until after 2 pm for the work to start, no problem stated the owner. The electrician shows up at 11 AM! I'm just glad I work from home but it was difficult to work with all the noise that was going on, plus I was in meetings. After about an hour, they left for 1.5 hours, returned after 2 PM to finish the work. Most of the time that I observed them working, the electrician was educating and re-doing the work of the journeyman. Finally work was completed and is now working great!! Only plus to all of this!! I get my invoice....$2 a foot wire turns out to be $3.80 a ft for 80 ft. I am being charged for 2 hours of labor for the first visit and 4.25 hours for the 2nd visit plus being charged for a person who was never at my house. The electrician was only at my home for 2.75 hours. I spoke with the owner who questioned who quoted me $2 a foot for the wire, and when I told him he did, he sounded shocked. Then questioned how I knew how long his workers were actually at my house?? Said he would check time cards and call me back by the next day. Over a week has passed, I have called and left more messages, and no return call from them. I am very disappointed in this entire experience. I just hope that my review will save someone else a major headache :(

Paul Skifton and his staff were prompt to discontinue our service; however, we were never refunded for the remaining months (roughly $250). Despite numerous phone calls, e-mails, and promises that we would receive the refund, it has been more than six months since we moved and we have not seen a dime. Their billing practices are deceptive and Paul has been unresponsive and has not followed thru with his promises.

Paul Skifton @ Home Systems Installation, https://www.homesystemsinstallation.com/, has a…read moreremarkably terrible business operation. We have been trying to coordinate a time for him to visit for multiple weeks. He continually doesn't show up, he doesn't return phone calls, he claims he emails, but he never does, he has no remorse for his irresponsible attitude. Although there aren't many reviews on his company, all of them are correct. After the 4th time trying to coordinate with him, we stated, if on the 5th time he cancels on us again we simply cannot work with him, he then said "I don't need this, I don't need this ridicule, go use Home Alarm XYZ company". We are simply thrown off that someone would be so careless, so carefree in how they treat a high paying prospective customer. Would anyone, including Paul Skifton, ever appreciate being treated like this? Would Paul Skifton ever accept this in his personal life? We have rearranged our day multiple times for him, and he has excuses after excuses in how he won't be at the meeting HE SETS UP. If this is how his business operates before you even hire company, or engage his services, imagine how neglectful his services would be during installation and if there were ever further needs down the line - something tells me, we and you, would be S O L. We are actually embarrassed with how much time we've already wasted on Paul Skifton and this pretend company, Home Systems Installation, thus far. The fact that we called 20 times, sent in countless emails, coordinated multiple other people, for him, per his request, he has essentially stolen all of our time, and we are embarrassed we had allowed ourselves be continually conned by his unbelievably mismanagement and tacky disrespectful phone call tone. If you are trying to install security camera systems on one or multiple commercial buildings, we encourage you to think twice on Paul Skifton, and https://www.homesystemsinstallation.com/, because he will essentially make you feel small and unwanted. He will cut you off on the phone, he will tell you how everything in his office doesn't work, and you will beat your head against a wall trying to give him a contract and/or project. Paul Skifton doesn't want to serve his customers, he wants to waste their time.
