When I first found this DJ he had excellent reviews. I was very excited for him to DJ my daughters…read moreQuinceanera. My husband and I met with him and told him all of our expectations and requests and we were told that he could handle everything we asked of him. I sent numerous emails with information, requests, agenda, update and answering his questions. My daughters dance was originally a video on You Tube and we needed him to find the songs on that video and tie them together since the video had a lot of background sounds. He said this was no problem. The day before the event he sent an email telling me everything was ready and if I wanted an entrance song. I emailed back the next day and gave him the song while I was at the hairdresser. Apparently he did not have anything ready because he then emailed me hours later(mind you I am busy getting my daughter, all the children in the Quinceanera, myself and my family ready for the event which was just hours away) sending me an attachment with the music from the You Tube video asking if everything was ok because he had to find the music and put it together himself because there was to much background noise in the video. HELLO WASN'T THIS SAID AT OUR VERY FIRST MEETING? WHY WASN'T THIS SENT TO ME SOONER!!!!!!???? So of course I did not see this email. So we arrive at the venue at 6:30pm for an event that will start at 7pm. When I walk I he is still setting up. Guests arrive early and he wasn't even ready. Whatever!!!! I walk up to him and he shows me a list of the agenda and he has old songs on there that I clearly told him we were not using. I had to tell him to scratch that off the agenda so he wouldn't play the wrong song for the performance. He tells me to have the court lined up at 7:25pm for the entrance announcement since the dance was to happen at 7:30. The kids waited in the hallway for 20 minutes before his assistant finally comes out to ask me a question. At that point I was not feeling to confident and I went over to him to make sure he would call the kids names in the correct order. I told him to be sure he says the Guest of Honor and her escort last in the line up. He even wrote notes on the paper. So they start the entrance and what does he do. . . he says the guest of honor and her escort first!!! UUUGGGHH!!. Then he plays the entrance music after the kids were already in the room lined up for the dance. So awkward they were just standing on the dance floor waiting for the entrance song to end. Then comes the greatest part. He starts the Quinceanera dance music that I gave him and it like the Chipmunks were singing. What the @#%@$! He proceeds to try and fix it but then Frank Sinatra is then singing the song. My husband and sister-in-law go running up to him to tell him to restart the music and fix it. He just kept restarting over and over and over again. It was like he was having a panic attack or something and couldn't get a grip. So I finally yell out to the kids when to start dancing because they didn't know what to do. They get through the first song and then the next song started at the wrong timing. The kids had to fumble around to get the beat and again they fixed his mess. Then OMG the last song comes on and it isn't even the right version of the song. My son and daughter just looked at me with the face of just wanting to run and hide because they were completely embarrassed. They tried to get through the dance and it just ended right in the middle of their step sequence. My sister-In-law asked him in the beginning of the night to announce that the kids wanted to give me a special surprise gift for all my hard work and for him to announce this. He never did he just went along with the next song which was (yep you guessed it) the wrong song.!!! My daughter hands me the flowers in tears and runs to the restroom to breakdown. Me and a bunch of other women had to run into the bathroom to calm her down. Thank God the venue manager came in and calmed her down and my daughter decided to try an redeem themselves by doing the dance again by the DJ using the YouTube video that I had originally sent him since he was completely incompetent and couldn't do his job correctly. He was running so late with everything by this point that the dinner was already served and the Pastor didn't even get to pray for dinner. Then my husband and daughter were giving speeches with the microphone that he provided and it was all full of static and wasn't pairing with the speaker well. I asked him in the beginning when we first met that I wanted light dinner music to be played during dinner and for it to be low so the guests can enjoy their food. He played club music the entire dinner even after we went to him twice to tell him to change the music and to turn the volume down. He was horrible. The second go around of the dance went well (gee thank you DJ X.L.N.C for playing my video through your sound system) and the kids felt a lot better. I was glad that the guests were
