Great gym...... But..... Way too hot and there's no relief at the fountain. Water is straight from the water heater.

Gym has a wide variety of machines and plenty of benches, squat racks. Also, gym is very clean and well-kept.

As a gym junkie, I can state with authority that I know the fitness scene in Albuquerque, and this…read moreSpenga place is legit. Over the past decade, I've graciously bled pools of sweat in gyms all over this metro, from CrossFit barns to bootcamp-style conditioning, most recently completing about 18 months at Orangetheory, where I sustained several minor and debilitating injuries. I gave it my all, spent a pretty penny on physical therapy, and finally decided to ditch the treadmill for spin classes. But Spenga's much more than a spin scene. You do 20 minutes on a bike, 20 more on the floor (free weights, kettlebell, TRX, BOSU), and 20 minutes of yoga. Originally, I definitely had reservations, but now that I'm about two months in, I can emphatically state the following: * I burn 700-900 calories per class * The yoga is super good for me * The music's pretty good (better than OTF) * It's more affordable than OTF * The instructors are polished and personable * The facility is spacious and clean * I'm injury free From a community standpoint, this place is more of a drop-in-get-it-done-and-leave kinda situation, which is great with me, but if you're more motivated by a gym full of besties, look elsewhere. I'll note they could get better at correcting form, and I would appreciate more class options, but I've never lost a penny from a late cancellation (there's no need to reserve ahead of time) and I could be wrong, but I think I'm actually seeing the results of these workouts. My wife warned me not to pen this review; she wants to keep the place to herself. Sorry, Laura, now everybody knows.

I really wanted to like this place but I wasn't even allowed to take the class. I was 10 minutes…read moreearly, but they wouldn't let me in unless I got to class 15-20 minutes early. They didn't even ask if I had experience with spin because I have years of experience in spin bikes and was looking forward to a class to take advantage of after having a newborn at home. Unfortunately, I likely won't be able to come back to try this place for months to come. Had I liked my session tonight, I had planned on working out a schedule with my caregiver and partner so I could workout here a few times a week and purchasing a monthly package. I guess I won't be doing that now. I had actually signed up for here before they opened that's how excited I was for this place but then I was pregnant and put on restriction. I guess it wasn't meant to be. They probably don't care about my money anyway.

The workouts rotate every so often but are varied enough. There are random specialty workouts thrown in and there are the challenges that help keep you motivated. I try, I just lollygag around. I even own Olympic weightlifting equipment and haven't touched it. 3) I like group classes, I get competitive with myself and work harder. I took a free class today and enjoyed it. It was a benchmark row workout, which gives me a good starting point to reflect back on. It was hard. I sweat. I love the variation of lifting and cardio. Personally, I hate running. I opted to speed walk since I was new and wanted to get used to the program. I burned over 700 calories today! It was so much fun. The ladies in class were supportive, the music was upbeat and fit well, the coach was fantastic, and it was all around a great experience. This month they are offering a free month of membership if you join, so I went ahead and joined and bought the heartrate monitor outright. I am excited to get back into shape!

To put it plainly I was unhealthy and miserable, I had spent many years chasing after the next fad diet and was always in search of next new fitness trend that would hopefully captivate my attention enough to stick with it long enough to see results, much to no avail. Everything I tried was temporary thus were my results. I was frustrated and lost. I decided I needed help from people who know what they are doing and so my internet search ensued. I came across Training Innovations reviews online and thought, "well self I haven't tried this before, the clients seem to rave at their success" so I decided to reach out to Korbie, which I must admit was the best decision I have ever made (honestly!). Over the course of my journey to a new lifestyle of understanding the importance of gut health, clean eating, doing cardio with intention, and remarkable strength training sessions; Korbie, Jordan, and Kayla guided me from a starting weight of a whopping 200.5lbs to now hovering around 147lbs. I went from a size 16 pant to a size 4. I am so proud of myself, the best compliment that I've received from my family, friends, and coworkers is "Britt you look fit" and I do, I love the way I feel which is healthy and happy. No more pumping myself full of toxic transfats and waiting for a month of Sundays to restart my 'diet'. Korbie equipped me with the knowledge of knowing when to eat, how to eat, and what to eat... he taught me right away the value of planning and preparation which is precisely what I needed because I thrive on structure. Every time I would falter, I knew I had to fess up so he could provide guidance but he did so in a way that didn't make me beat myself up further. Jordan is a phenomenal personal trainer! He connects well with each and every one of his clients... when it comes down to it, he knows his stuff and can jam pack an hour long workout session to make your body feel it for a week, he's the 'Quad King'. He genuinely takes the time to ensure you know what you are doing and why you are doing it, he really loves his job and it shows in not only from his clients but the guidance he provides to other trainers. Kayla is a force to be reckoned with, she provides constant encouragement not through flowery words but by helping you push beyond what you believe your body's limits are. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to the entire team at Training Innovations, they know what they are doing and if you are willing to dedicate and invest your time, money, and attention Training Innovations is well worth is! The skills that you learn here go beyond the short term and arm with the skillset for a lifetime of success. I am extraordinarily grateful and wish I found them earlier.
