As vintage as our classic arcade games, PowerUp seems to also want to stay dated. Located near some swanky places and a stones throw from the mall, I'm disappointed to say my experiences in the place for the past ~2 years have been mediocre. There are consistently several machines down (I'd say roughly 20%-25%) and they stay down even after a 60 day check in. The games that do work have a faulty trigger, or loose/unresponsive joystick, or will eat a couple of your coins before letting you play. The only consistently working game is ski ball. Speaking of consistent, their drink menu features the routine cocktails which only been renamed with game references. The bartenders are nice and attentive though. In this area there's so much potential for this place to be a staple in the community, but it doesn't want to evolve, hell it doesn't even want to maintain itself. It's sad to see this barcade called PowerUp, because if you visit you will gain no Experience Points. read more

Went out with girlfriend on date night, super slow which would've been great but they ran out of quarters and tokens which means we couldn't play any more games after 30 min of being there which is crazy for an arcade bar and she didn't try and get more. I asked for quarters for the Pokémon machine before she said they were out and we proceeded to try with the machine and it didn't work. The fact she didn't tell us it didn't work and didn't care when we told her it didn't. Also I work in the restaurant/bar industry and the whole night she didn't check in on us once! Especially when it's slow was crazy. We had to walk up to her and ask for drinks while she was sitting down the whole time on her phone or over converting with friends. Over all, for a first time there and us being so excited it was a dud because of the service. I would go again with hoping for better service. read more

Used to love coming here. But there have been WAY too many instances where I arrived only to find out there was a private event going on. After the first time it happened, I began trying to call ahead to ensure the bar was open to the public. They never answer their phone! It's incredibly frustrating to drive all the way to the bar only to find out you wasted your time and gas, and the bar is closed for a private event. I don't have Facebook, so calling ahead was the only other way to check if they were open. (And again, they would never answer their phone) Not a great way to treat your regulars. Wish PowerUp Arcade the best, but I won't be back. They've wasted enough of my time and gas. read more

The game that we were most excited about playing was out of order and multiple machines ate our tokens. Service was good, and we had Porters at the end of the night, so location is great. Probably will not be returning any time soon. read more

This is a fun spot! Tons of old school arcade games. They have a fun drink menu. Lots of seating options. No food but that's ok! Bring your own, Uber eats, DoorDash or hop downstairs for some excellent BBQ. There is a kids day on Sunday, I can't wait to share this with my kid. Staff is friendly and on point. A good friend hosted a private birthday party at Power Up and it had to be the best birthday party I've been to in several years. The place is setup great. The bar is easy to get to (the place was crowded) and the bartender makes delicious drinks. There are plenty of nice, comfortable seating areas and a few even have the old school table top arcade games. Super cool. The room is laid out with all the best, old school bids around the outside which makes for a nice mingling area in the middle. I highly recommend visiting and a slam dunk to host your next private event here. It's awesome. read more

Happy hour everyday and a great selection of vintage arcade games. The games were reasonably priced too. The husband and I each got vodka sodas which were good and strong. There was an awesome Fresh Prince drink menu i would love to try. Would definitely visit again next time I'm in the tri-cities area. read more

The concept is great, location is great, but being here falls flat. Of the 20 vintage games, five don't work. Wanna play with beer all over your stuff? You got it. It's a dead spot, wanted to try, the novelty is neat, but the social aspect is flat. Old games, lame crowd, nothing else to do. Not worth spending our money. read more

This place is awesome, whether you are out with your main squeeze, want to hang out for a quick drink and a few quick games or even bringing your kids on a Sunday. I wish more cities had a place like this! AJ is one of my top people there and he always takes care of us whenever we come through! Now that they have a DJ on Thursdays, that makes the place rock even more. It would be nice if you could order food but the good news is you can bring any food you want. In my experience, the bartenders are not friendly and borderline rude asf. Insane over priced menu cocktails (this is Kennewick, not Seattle. JEEZ. If you have any interest at all in arcades or a fun atmosphere I'd say go here. I've been craving a Dave and busters experience and tbh it was so much better here. They don't have food but they have a delicious barbecue place right below. But seriously, I LOVE it here. Level up is 100% my new hangout spot. My entire group was treated so kindly, the drinks were really good and fairly priced. The ambiance was so amazing, it was very chill and relaxing. It felt like the perfect place to go out and just have a nice date. It's cute, and if you're nostalgic for the 90's or just great arcades in general I definitely recommend coming here. This is like the coolest place ever I just drove in on a whim and I do not regret it!! Come here and you won't either. Disappointing at best, nothing but a bar with old arcade games of which half don't work correctly. Like many in our area, we are all attracted to new venues and are excited to post great reviews, but this like many other establishments will come and go quickly. This was a great idea and properly executed would be a serious option to the other adult establishments around, but don't take my word for it see for yourself. read more

Being an old pinball fanatic and a long-time frequenter of "Shorty's" in Seattle, I was stoked to find out about this place. Whoever owns it figured something out because the Tri-Cities was hurting for an arcade bar like this. Good service, decent prices on drinks and the games are in good shape. Hopefully they'll keep up on maintaining the games because stuck balls and flippers that don't work right usually mean a place has loss interest in keeping it customers happy. Fabulous Establishment. Went on Mother's Day with my daughter to check it out as an option for her birthday party. My daughter and I played on $5 worth of coins for over an hour; definitely a bargain. When I contacted them via fb to schedule the party they responded promptly, the party fee was extremely reasonable and they got everything scheduled. They stayed in good contact with me up to the date of the party, always responding to my questions and confirmed promptly. When we arrived for the party the staff was amazing! Kind, friendly, helpful, just the best! The location was great, all the games were in great working order. I love that so many of the games are multi-player! Great for keeping older kids playing for a long time on not a lot of money. Being able to bring in all the food for our party really kept the cost down. The drinks were very tasty and reasonably priced. As an adult or kid if you haven't checked this place out it is well worth it. Thanks Level Up! read more
