The facility is always spotless and the staff here are some of the kindest, angels of human beings while still being scary enough to whip you into shape. I bet a lot of folks feel like me the "find a gym for the first time" challenge to be awkward- especially without a gym buddy to go with you. Crystal replied to my email with all the pricing info about the gym and I got excellent vibes. I booked a drop-in class just to try it out and loved the Bootcamp. The front of the studio has water, hand towels and some lockers for your belongings, or you can just hang on to them in the class. Theres a large yoga/barre studio room with weights and mirrors for the classes and a big dark room in the back with 20 stationary bikes for cycling. There are changing rooms and a bathroom as well if you need it right across from the child-care room. I decided to do the 10 class punch card to try more before fully committing and tried the "Full body strength" and cycling classes to (I love the Explicit Cycle with Diane!) I found my rhythm of classes and schedule which are fun and get me moving- but the classes aren't too long (45 mins usually) - I may even stay for a back to back class someday. Aside from the classes and the facility- the owners and staff of Level Up are truly so welcoming and make this place feel safe and fun. I've experienced genuine kindness and none of the competitive gym nonsense you'll see other places. I'm a regular now and plan on being one for a long time!

Have probably been to this aquatic center 7 times now. Zero times have I been allowed in the water. Either it wasn't time for my child to be in the water therefore we were turned away. Or they had changed the schedule for open swim. They will direct you their website! You are a business. Most businesses keep the same hours. Not excluding some patrons for others. Oh and it's like the only place to swim for a 20 mile radius. Why make it so hard on your patrons to use your facilities. Seems super counter productive. It's city funded. But there are still dues and fees associated with the gym. Seems wild to used the peoples tax's and dollars and then make it almost impossible them to swim. Also they some dumb rule about 2 children per adult! So don't go if you happen to be a single parent with more than 2 kids. Heaven forbid your children want to use the facilities for which you pay.

It's a kids pool so unless you check the schedule be prepared for noise and kids running wild. Lockers and shower areas are open so it's not for the shy or body conscious. Bring your own towels is my recommendation. It's run with Adults and kids as most of the staff. So things are not always up to par as far as cleaning and orderly.

They have a 90 day onboarding program where you can try their group classes and have 24/hr access to the gym to work out and see if they are a great fit. After the 90 days, there are a few different programs to go into based on your goals. The owners are patient and available and will check in with you along the way in your 90 days to help you understand their programs and what they offer. After that, they will listen to your feedback and suggest other programs to continue. I have not been to the gym in over 7 years and this year was time to get back into it and become a better version of myself. The first couple times I went, I was greeted warmly and one person even said, "glad you're here", which made me feel welcome. I looked at all of the gyms in and around Newberg and Rebuilt, which is on the upper end of gym fees, seemed like the gym to start with. I met with the owner prior to choosing a program and they explained their program. They have different options for different programs and you're paying for their skill, the community, and the comradery. The group coaches remember you from week to week and encourage you to work that little extra. I am almost finished with my 90-day onboarding, and I look forward to choosing the program that's right for me. Thank you, Rebuilt!

To access you enter in the rear of the building off of Second Ave. between College and Howard. There is free parking lot behind the building shared with Bank of America and a few other businesses. I am attending the Level I classes so I will cannot comment on Levels II & III but I am very impressed with their program so far. It differs from other Yoga classes I have taken at various fitness clubs in that the class moves at a slower pace. Instead of flowing quickly from pose to pose there is more time spent trying to achieve proper alignment. They also encourage greater use of props such as blankets, blocks, and straps than I have seen before. I am recovering from a back injury and after a year of physical therapy my physical therapist recommended Yoga to help lengthen tight muscle groups, strengthen smaller underutilized muscles, and improve posture. I am very cautious about reinjuring myself so I value the extra time the instructors take to teach proper alignmment. It is possible that some might find the pace of the class too slow. Those students might enjoy the Level II & III classes. I find that I can always challenge myself in class so I am not looking for more at this point. Classes are $15 for walk ins and there are discounts available for multiple class packages.

It was really important to have this feature and I had seen photos of it on the ymca website so I asked the 2 women at the front desk to please cancel the membership I just signed up for. They said they didn't know how to refund the $50 membership fee so they would have to ask the next day. It didn't get done and then I received an email from Laura Gonzales the membership coordinator saying all I could get was a $50 credit. How am I supposed to use that? It's completely useless. I am very upset about this. It's not the money, it's the principal of it. How they advertise they are family friendly and all that, then pull a fast one and keep your money and you get nothing for it because you changed your mind mid-sign up. Normally when I am in California, I would be going to the one near my flat but this one is a lot better than I expect. It seems to be a very good place to get fit. The pool is super nice, right temperature and good place to water walk or swim very slowing since I am a beginner. This is one of three YMCAs I go to in Oregon, the other one is in Albany which is a bit of a long drive. The staff that work here is super nice like the one near my flat. For the days I am in the state of Oregon, this is a great place for the community. Warning: If you have the wrong kind of membership then you are bound to suffer.
