Great place in a very convenient location. Don't judge the book by the cover: the outside needs some love but inside the washing machines and dryers all work great. You need to bring €10 with you for each load. €7 for the washer (you get a token via a machine) and €3 for the dryer. The soap and softener are included. We met many friendly Americans there and swapped travel stories while we waited. We grabbed a delicious burger from Oh My Bun a few doors up while we waited. We don't stray far while we waited but there was a great feeling of camaraderie with many ppl from different countries. We looked out for each other. We were very happy with our clean clothes!! read more

Great place to either do your own laundry or get it cleaned. I was in desperate need of clean clothes and this was close to my hotel and easy to get to. The owners were nice and professional. Payment is by the weight and not by the item. CASH ONLY! Everything was clean when I picked up my clothes the next day. read more

CASH ONLY, they have an ATM and the currency exchange place is not too far. 20 euros for a wash with folding, 18 without. Same day pickup, everything worked out well. read more

Best laundry we have been to in Amsterdam The place is clean with easy to read instructions BUT you have to read the instructions Only odd thing is less dryers than washers so some people had to wait for dryers Great coffee shop across the street called Happy Feeling and a pub right next store that opens at 5pm fairly quiet street Soap is available from machine make sure you set temps on washing machines before you put money in. Other pro tip is each machine has its own number so safe for example for a machine 12, you don't push a one and two, but you push the 12 button. read more

was super helpful and kind i would go here every time if i was here longer very clean and washed your clothes perfectly

This is NOT a full service laundry. I came by to drop off clothes, and waited a full half hour- there is literally no one working on site to take it, even though I was there during full business hours (3pm). Some backpackers came through and helped explain how to work the machines, so I ended up doing a load myself, and waiting next door at the cafe while it ran. At no point did anyone show up during that two hour period who worked for the laundry. Don't advertise as full service if you're not! read more

A single star because I need to select one. What a terrible experience. It's not a way of behaving with customers. We come during opening time to do our laundry and there is only one washing machine left ( the most expensive). All the other ones were taken by the owners. No space to do laundry for other customers. Why do you write that it is open then? After 40 minutes we wanted to use one of the 6 dryers but they were all full with owners things and the answer of them was "you have to wait. Later later" like 1 hour because they had 3 rounds of their own laundry to do. One single question and they feel offented. Is that a way of chasing regular customers? Don't say you are open if not! What a direspectful service. You should probably question yourself. It wasn't like this last year. read more

Great! We are taking a two week trip and don't like to check luggage (only carry on) so washing clothes becomes important. Found this place to wash our clothes while in Amsterdam. Great pricing. 25€ for about 9 kg of clothing. They washed, dried, and folded it all for us. Dropped it off in the morning and they texted when ready which was at the end of our tour so we headed there to pick it up. Easy peasy. Cash only but they have an atm on sight. Will definitely use again next time we are in Amsterdam! read more

Felt so safe here. Family owned and operated and the man there was so helpful with getting the machines going. ATM inside and a currency exchange three minutes away. €9 total no dryer. read more

This place was so closely located to the hostel I was staying at and the service was so kind! Everything was clean and I felt super safe and welcome :) I would recommend this laundromat to anyone staying in Amsterdam! Thank you so much! read more

Was traveling with my baby and needed to do a quick load of laundry. This place was SO convenient. The husband and wife were super sweet, too. I was able to start a load and take my kid on a walk and come back to finish. I've never been to a laundromat, so I'm not sure if pricing was fair, but they made the experience easy in the middle of a vacation! Would go back if needed. read more

Needed full service laundry for two people. About 5 days worth of clothes. Contacted Powders thru What's App per website. Received a response in about 2 minutes. €20 for wash and fold! What a deal! read more

Good service and price. Responsive owner who tries to meet the customer's needs with prompt washing and drying.

Mother and Son team at Powders Laundrette are absolutely wonderful. They helped us decide on full service vs self service and the FULL SERVICE option was a no-brainer. They took care of everything to include washing and drying and folding our clothes with excellent care and they had it done so FAST while we toured the Vincent Van Gogh Museum . . . Don't worry about your clothes while in Amsterdam and leave it all up to these professionals. Cornelius & Pamela read more

Their process was easy, laundry in good shape when returned, reasonably priced, and ready as promised.

If full service, it isn't available on a Sunday. Quite a cramped and messy place. Cash only. ATM on-site is broken. We walked 1.5 KM for no service. If you walk 2-3 blocks west from Vondelpark, into the residential area, there are many terrific and clean laundromats that aren't on Yelp. read more

Reliable self-service laundry with full drop off laundering service as well. I used the latter and filled one of those extra large ziploc clothes bags and just made it under the 6 kg limit. My clothes were dropped off at 845am and the attendant told us to return anytime the same day after 12 noon and by 5 pm. Everything was cleaned and folded nicely and 15 Euros was definitely worth not sitting wasting precious vacation time doing laundry! 4 stars only because the attendant lost my ziploc bag. :( Otherwise a great service. read more

2 washers and 3 dryers out when we visited. Took a lot longer as we waited with many others on weekend.

Easy to find and easy to use. Follow the printed directions carefully and you'll be fine. I went in the evening when it was unstaffed. Grabbed a canned beer at a shop just down the street and enjoyed it while I waited. read more

If you need to do laundry while in Amsterdam, go here. Clean, easy instructions, friendly and helpful owners ... all around good experience. We stopped at another self serve laundromat when we arrived in Amsterdam but it was dirty and there was no where to sit. The crew here is amazing!! You can pay a small fee to have them take care of you so you can enjoy your time in Amsterdam, or do it yourself! I did it myself and was helped with locations and advise from locals! Several places to eat drink or chill out near by! Or you can pull a chair up inside and relax. I'll use this location again when I return to Amsterdam. It only makes sense!! read more

I've done my laundry here once and it was fine so they don't get 1 star. I actually want to leave 2.5 but that's not an option... I checked Yelp and Google. It said their hours are 8a-10p. At 6p I took an Uber to drop off a bag of laundry. There was nobody there for full service. I called the number and the woman explained that they only take full service up to 5p. She explained that this information is on their website. The way she spoke to me let me know that she'd had this same conversation before. I then had to drag 2 bags of dirty laundry to my meeting at a restaurant. To be clear, on Yelp and Google, there's no mention of this. When I showed up at 6:30p, the sign outside said Full Service / Self Service. The easy remedy is to list this information on Google, Yelp and turn of the lighted sign saying "Full Service" after 5p. I'd bet the $20 euro cab ride I wasted that their analytics would show most of their web traffic is through Yelp and Google, not their site. (If someone is doing laundry, they're from out of town, probably searching on Google & Yelp). I found another laundrette closer to my hotel which was cheaper, faster and offered full service during all business hours. read more

Very clean establishment, easy to get to, lots of surrounding shops and food places for you to visit while waiting for your clothes to wash/dry. The attendant was very friendly and helpful. They offer single-use liquid and powder detergent and liquid fabric softener for 50¢ per load each. They also offer full-laundry service for 13€ per load, which includes wash, dry and fold, or you can do-it-yourself for 5.50€ per load (wash) and about 2€ (dry). Each load takes about 45 min to wash and about 30-40 to dry. It is a very nice and convenient place for travelers to wash their clothes at. I highly recommend it, even considering the price seems a bit steep because the service, cleanliness, and convenient location makes it worth it. read more

NOTE: THEY DO NOT TAKE DROP OFFS ON SUNDAYS! They have normal self service all day of the week but when I arrived Sunday, it only so happened by sheer luck that someone was there to take my clothes. They have tried to post on Yelp that they don't take drop offs on Sunday but without success. However, since he was there, they took my entire bag of laundry and had it washed, dried, and even folded by the next day at 11. A very efficient use of my 13 Euros and a lifesaver for someone traveling. read more

After expecting the friendly service, I was more than disappointed. I arrived hoping to get the full service wash while I could sightsee in the area, but when I arrived, there was no one available. After a ten minute wait, this older man strolled in and rushed me to get out and said that they were closed. I was very confused as there many loads of laundry still being washed. After I questioned him why they were closing, he mumbled something, and then said, fine, we're open. I told him I wanted to do a full wash service, he just looked at me blankly. I showed him my laundry, and it was only a small backpacks worth of stuff, not much at all, and he still looked at me blankly and then mumbled something about getting someone else, and rushed out the door again, leaving me confused as to what to do. My laundry on the counter, money in hand, he just left. After another ten minutes, I realized he wasn't coming back, so I just started a load by myself, trying to figure out the machines and how they worked. I finally got my load started and he came in and looked at me blankly again (was I suppose to be there? were they really closed?). I left for lunch and came back to put my clothes in the dryer. During my transfer time, he helped two people, and was extremely nice to them, spoke perfect English, and helped out. So I wondered, why couldn't' he do the same for me? Why was he trying to rush me out? Why couldn't he speak English to me? Is my English poor? Did he not understand me? Was my American accent too much? It's not too big of a deal that I had to wash my clothes myself, I was just hoping I could do the full service so I would have the afternoon to sight see. Unfortunately, I could only just hang around the area, get lunch, and peoplewatch. Not horrible, but not what I planned. I don't get it. Rave reviews here, but it was horrible for me. I'm in Amsterdam often, and definitely will NOT be using this laundrette again. Worst service ever. read more

An absolute lifesaver for anyone traveling for an extended period of time. The laundry was spotless and the directions were easy to understand.
