We are on a long trip and needed to wash our clothes before we moved onto our next stop. We were referred to this place by our hotel and it was the closest one to us as well. It's 16 euros for full service. The owner was super nice and I accidentally left my drivers license in my pant pocket. I had no idea!! He returned it along with some loose euros we had in one of our pockets! The clothes were folded nicely and put back in the bags we had the clothes in. It took about 2.5 hours which allowed us to walk around some more. Highly recommend!! read more

This is an amazing fluff and fold. Go full service. In the city for work. My hotel couldn't guarantee same day delivery so Yelp to the rescue. Dropped my clothes off and he asked when I needed them. 4.5 stars There are not many self-service laundromats in Amsterdam's Centrum district. We actually researched and found this place shortly after we booked our hotel because we knew we'd need to do laundry before flying off to the next country. My companions and I travel very light and the last place we did laundry was in our apartment in Paris which was literally a week prior, so needless to say, we definitely wanted our garments laundered. Thankfully it was not that far of a walk from our hotel and it's located in a fairly busy area too. However, carrying loads of clothes in the rain and wind was something else. It was brightly lit when we took the stairs down to enter the Wash Place. There are two large and five medium sized industrial front loading washing machines all standing side by side on the right. We had to call out for someone since no one heard us enter. A man emerged from the door across from the entry. Looks like his living quarters are under the same roof. We informed him what we wanted and asked if he took credit card, but he insisted on cash. The man seemed gruff upon first glance but tried to joke with us. The last time anyone washed my laundry was when I was still living at home years ago. I would have been happy doing my own laundry at this place, but my travel companions didn't want to bother and so majority ruled. As the man loaded our dirty clothes and poured powdered detergent into the machines, he told us to come back within 2 - 2 1/2 hours since he was doing multiple loads and needed time to fold the laundry. As of December 2022, Wash Place charges €15 for their full service which includes washing, drying and folding laundry for up to 6 kg and normally takes approximately two hours. Should you wish to DIY here, then it'll be €13. So if you really abhor folding your own clothes or just want the extra two hours to go explore, then chock up the extra €2. They also offer ironing and dry cleaning services which ranges from €4-8/piece per the sign, but you should inquire for the comprehensive dry cleaning list. We decided to have a late lunch around the corner and when we went back to pick up our garments at around 3:30 pm, all of our freshly laundered clothes were packed neatly into our respective bags. This place was awesome!! I was able to drop off my dirty clothes within walking distance to my hotel. The cost was a mere 15 euros and it was ready in 2 hours. If we had taken it to our hotel, we would have to drop it off by 9 am and wouldn't receive them back until later in the evening. Plus we would have paid over 100 euros! Tourist here. Quick, affordable, and convenient with turnaround within 4 hours, and nicely done, including (unexpectedly) folded. We walked from the Marriott and it was pretty easy/close. Consider separating hot/cold loads. This was all slightly marred be a gaslighting request for cash payment "As I mentioned earlier..."; no you didn't. This place was great. A few blocks away from the Andaz Hotel where I was staying, I dropped off a large bag of clothes and it was washed and dryed and folded in 2 hours for 15 Euro. The guy was very nice, speaks good English, and is very professional.. He was able to hang dry two pieces so they didn't shrink. Made our trip so much better, so much easier. We were visiting Amsterdam from the US in May and needed laundry done. Since there was no laundry service at our hotel, we decided to look for a laundromat. Luckily, we found Wash Place. They took our laundry at noon and had it finished - clean and beautifully folded - by 3:00. And at a fraction of what the laundry service would have cost. I highly recommend this business! read more

Located off the beaten path, Ali is super nice (greets you with a smile!) For 10Euro, approx. 2 loads cleaned and folded in about 2 hours! A huge money savor then doing laundry (coin) or having the hotel do it. I highly recommend this place when your in Amsterdam and require to get your clothes cleaned while on vacation. read more

They did a very good job for me and it was easy to find and right near my hotel. It was much cheaper than the hotel and they were folded and put back in the bag that I had brought them in. I had left some personal items in the bag accidentally that was medication and the medication was also put back in the bag so that shows honestly and I really appreciated that. It is right near leidlesplien which is a very popular place. It is very near all the restaurants so you can drop it off on the way to eat. I'd recommend this place very much. read more

My wife and I dropped our laundry off with Ali. He had it ready in a short time. Washed, folded, and packed in our suitcase. I had accidentally left a $10 bill in my pocket and he even had that neatly folded on top of the laundry. He easily could have kept it for himself, and we never would have known, but Ali is too honest to do that sort of thing. I always take my laundry to "Wash Place" when I visit Amsterdam. They shrunk ALL of my shirts!!! It was unbelieveable that these many times washed and dryed clothes could shrink so much! They must have used boiling hot water and super high heat- Yes, i got my clothes back in 2 hours - But clean clothes that don't fit... Forget this place... read more

Really nice people. We came in at 17:00 and were able to pick it up our laundry the same day. The owner was even so nice as to say that we should put all our clothing together as it would save us money. It was a maximum of 6kg per load and we had 5.5kg together. Thus it only costed us €10 to wash & dry ! Laundry was really fresh and neatly folded. Nothing to complain about ! read more

They are convenient, quick, and reasonably priced, but my clothes reek of horrible smelling fabric softener. I should have specified unscented detergent and softener, but I never expected such a strong odor. I'm trying to soak and line dry the clothes, but I may have to get them washed again before they are tolerable to wear. read more
