The hotel Marriot Mountainside in Park City Utah called this company for us for a taxi to go to dinner. They were at the hotel in less than 10 minutes and the taxi driver was extremely nice and helpful. Plus he was from California originally. We talked about how he was going to all these concerts. He was really courteous and made out taxi drive pleasant. We ended up calling them again for on the way home and they picked us up less than five minutes. I used Powder Transport to get from Park City to SLC in time for a late Saturday night red-eye flight. I was able to schedule the vehicle a few hours before pickup and had the driver meet me at a restaurant. The vehicle was in great condition and the driver was prompt and communicated well, as the pickup spot was extremely busy. Airport Shuttle service worse travel and customer experience ever! I wanted to start off by saying that I am not a person that goes to any length to file or post a formal complaint. However, the experience me and my family had last night with Powder Transport and the owner Kelvin Li, is forcing me to make this exception. This all began when I made a round trip reservation on 12/6/15 for a party of 10 for 12/25/2015 at 11:21pm for shuttle services from Salt Lake Airport to Park City. I contact Powder Transport a couple of time to make sure there wouldn't be any issues with having someone pick us up since it was Christmas Day and our flight was arriving late in the evening. At the time of the online and phone reservation, I also requested that Powder Transport accommodate 20 pieces of large check in luggage, including my family skis. I was told that it would not be any issues and all of these things would be accommodated. I contacted Powder Transport again on 12/24/15 to confirm my reservation for a party of 10 with 20 pieces of luggage for 12/25 at 11:21pm which they did. Fast forward to the day of the pick up. My flight was coming from Miami which is just about almost 5hrs. We arrived early to Salt Lake at 11pm. I get a call from Kelvin and he tells me to please give him a call once everyone in our group is together and with their checked in luggage. I get another call at 11:43pm, and we have yet to be assigned a carousel to pick up our luggage. Again, Kelvin says to contact him once we get our luggage. These calls from Kevin continue until 12:30am. There was a total 6 calls from Kelvin. Each time I explained I was still waiting for our bags and I would let him know once we had received them. I wasn't the only one from my flight still waiting for their bags. There was a major delay with bag claim, the carousel was changed twice and everyone did not start to receive their bags until a 1 hour later. In addition, anyone traveling with skis knows this always comes out at the end once all the luggage has been taken off the plane. In one of the last phone calls during this time, Kelvin called and seems a little frustrated since his driver had been waiting for a while now. He asked me if I had talked to anyone from the airline regarding the issue. I responded and said yes, as a matter of fact everyone from that was on the Miami flight has yet to receive their luggage. His frustration was the first sign that caught my attention. So we finally after over an hour get all of my bags which include 15 large suitcases and 1 large ski bag. Our party is a total of 10, so that is roughly 1.5 suitcases per passenger. When we walk out to the arrivals areas where the taxi and shuttle pickup is located, I see a white Ford 12 passenger van pull up with no trailer or ski roof rack. I go skiing twice a year and have taken shuttle / limousine services in the past. The vans are equip with ski racks in the rear or on the roof and in some cases even have a small trailer to fit additional suitcases. These larger passenger vans come on 10, 12, and 15 passenger capacities. The van that arrived was a 12 passenger Ford E350. If anyone looks up the specs on this van, from either Ford's website or any car rental agency, you will see the luggage capacity is 5 suitcases. You can definitely accommodate more but you would be force to reduce the number of passengers since the luggage would start to take up seats inside the van. So with 10 passengers and 15 pieces of luggages with a ski bag, there was no way this was going to happen. The driver looked at all of us and our bags and said he didn't think it was going to all fit due to the van he had and the size of our party with all the suit cases. I immediately contact Kelvin to see what can be done and if he can setup an alternative transportation for my brother's family of 4 with 5 pieces of luggage. The experience was less than accommodating and he insisted it would all fit. Kelvin said he had't talked to the driver which at this point, confirmed that everything would not fit. I gave the driver my cellphone so he could talk to him directly and not waste any further time. That call lasted 6 mins without a resolution to the issue at had. At this point, 4 people in our party didn't have a solution on getting them to their hotel in Park City. It was 12:40am and the entire experience went completely south from there. I never got a call back from Kelvin apologizing for the inconvenience nor did Kelvin offer any alternative or assistance in rebooking my brother and his family which included a 9 and 7 year old with another provider or taxi. They were left to figure it out on their own. So we did, my brother booked a taxi at the airport and was able to get transportation to his hotel in Park City. He and his drivers are reliable, punctual, and courteous; his vehicles are clean and well presented; you can book and communicate easily with PT by text and internet; and their prices are reasonable. This review is a little outdated, but I felt it was worth going back and reviewing. I used Powder Transport for round trip transport to Park City from the airport this past January. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm. The driver gave us directions on where to meet him at the airport and he showed up a few minutes later in his trusty suburu. He was very apologetic about being late, but it was clear that the roads were a mess. He then proceeded to very carefully (and safely) drive us the 45 minutes or so to our hotel in Park City. Roads were closed in the area, but he seemed aware of the best routes and was careful to steer clear of a lot of bad drivers. The driver was very cautious the whole way and we were definitely glad that we didn't have to do the driving that night. All went well, so we ended up booking our return trip through them. read more

Booked reservation online @ 9pm on a Tuesday night for noon pickup on Wednesday morning from my Park City hotel to the SLC airport. I was a little nervous since I had booked late in the game & had never used this service before. I received email confirmation following my online "we got your reservation confrmation" & also called the next morning to double-check and was pleasantly confirmed via phone then too. My ride arrived @ my hotel FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLY in a nice shiny blue Subaru labeled "Powder Transport" & my driver was really nice. I wasn't traveling with skis, but it looked like there was a ski rack on the roof too, if you needed it. I grabbed a card from the backseat so that I can absolutely use these guys next time I'm in town. read more

I booked ahead of time and the car was waiting for me upon arrival at SLC and I had a great conversation with the driver. The car was a newer SUV, their communication was professional, and my coworker who used them to get back to the airport was also pleased with them. Just used the service on 2/22/2014. Great service and right on time. I didn't even have to call to check on my confirmation. I just looked out the window at 2:30pm and my driver was waiting in the driveway of our park city rental house. My driver was Mel. Awesome driver. Very personable and courteous. He made the drive smooth and easy going. I would definitely use them again in the future. It may seem discouraging to use the service based on reviews below. But the only reason I chose to use them after reading the reviews was the owner's response rate to each review. He shows concern about his company and the image it portrays. I've booked the service one month before I and my wife went to Park City. We did the "Meet and Greet" service at SLC Intl Airport. The driver was there at the time, very punctual, with a nice and clean SUV and drove very carefully to Park City, even during a snow storm. Five days after that we did the round trip from Park City to SLC Intl Airport. The driver went at the time and was very pleasant during the trip. Comparing to other shuttle companies, Powder Transport is the best deal in Park City area. We will certainly call them again in a next trip to Park City. So, it was a good trip back and forth from the airport in SLC to Park City. The total for the van was $171. EACH WAY. It's like a 30 minute cab ride. So anyway, we had 9 people, and we were stuck, so we booked with Powder Transport. We used them going back as well, for the same price. The ride was smooth, they were on time. Both times, we tipped the driver $10, which we thought was fair. I then get an email from the owner 2 days later complaining about the tip amount that we left. He complained that retention is difficult in Park City, and tips like the one I was leaving is what was making his drivers leave. I responded by saying that tipping is part of the service industry, and it's left to the customer's discretion. To complain about a poor tip speaks to the problem that the owner has in understanding where his retention issues lie. Emailing a customer who used your service twice to complain about a bad tip is not going to help you retain drivers, it will just generate bad reviews on Yelp. read more

We had a great experience one way, but on the return trip back to SLC our driver showed up without a luggage rack. My wife and I were cramped in the backseat due to the luggage being packed in the car. On top of that our driver was not very friendly, I don't think he smiled once. We tipped him 20$ on the trip up but didn't feel a tip was warranted on the way back due to the lack of customer service. After we were dropped off I received a text message asking if we wanted to add gratuity to our return trip to which I replied "no thanks". I then received another text asking if there was problem which I chose not to respond to. Shortly after I then received another voicemail asking me why I didn't tip my driver. I returned the call and the customer service representative asked me why I didn't tip again, then telling me the driver was "very sad". I guess this company feels like their drivers are entitled to tips even if the service was bad. Their excuse was that I booked the wrong car which was not the case. I felt the pestering about tipping was totally unprofessional. These people need a reality check and realize that you EARN a tip it's not entitled to you. She was on time and waiting for us at the airport. Past experiences have shown us that this is not always the case. I was in park city for the week end, had a great time but I wanted to catch an earlier flight back home to get some rest before the start of the week. It was 4 am, found a flight departing at 6:30 from salt lake city . I called the shuttle service that I had arrangement with but they could not show up. The hotel hooked me up with powder transport. They showed up right away. The car was a brands new navigator with leather and wood interior. Very clean inside. The driver was a very cool guy and very easy to converse with if you are in the mood. Got to the airport on time. Fare was Very reasonable and comparable to regular taxi fare. I highly recomend this service . I will use them everytime I am in park city. read more

I was visiting Park City for Sundance and due to a unusually severe snowstorm opted to call Powder Transport for a ride to the airport instead of having a friend drive us. I get freaked out driving in the snow and was not looking forward to the drive. The owner of the company ended up being our driver and despite watching cars spin out, and trucks parked on the freeway from too much snow, I was not nervous even one time as our driver got us to the airport safely in a much faster time than anticipated.
