It doesn't what it says on the tinit's a land (ok, well shop) where everything is £1 (or better, i.e two for £1)
I know that there is often unnecessary stigma attached to trawling round the poundstore but really, if you've never done it, wake up! okay so some of them can be a little sordid but this one is actually a very good place to start.
It's no big secret but often you're paying more then you need to for stuff you can get cheaper. As handy as supermarkets can be for getting everything you need, you pay more then you need to. Take a look round this store and you can get many items you've probably bought elsewhere for considerably more such as branded toiletries, household products, batteries, confectionery etc
They stock a lot of other things such as toys although with the toys you do often get what you pay for so don't expect them to last too long!
You can shave so much off of what you spend just through coming here.
They've recently added more tills which helps to combat the queues because I'll be frank with you (or should i say lyric since i'm not actually frank) it gets busy, it gets fiercely busy and can be a little hard to navigate (especially if you have a pram) and sometimes you feel like you're being herded along by the flow of other customers. However, the staff are quick at what they do and queues dissolve pretty quickly. read more
