I have had visited many schools before and have had the honor of being taught by some very good instructors. That said. Prof. Peter does a great job running his classes and instructing his students. It is well organized from beginning to end and he is actively involved during the entire class. Starts on time and no wasted time. During my drop-in, we were going over the Osoto Gari takedown (a technique I have been taught many times by Judo blackbelts). Prof. Peter provided excellent and balanced detail on the technique, as it was a beginner/intermediate class, careful not too overwhelm the students. Highly recommend checking this school out. Clean facilities, great instruction and good vibes. Keep up the good work Prof. Peter! PS. Watch out for a former D1 All-American wrestler posing as a 4 stripe white belt. What he lacks in BJJ technique he overwhelmingly makes up for in grappling IQ and will crush higher belts. Sorry bud, but you need some color on your waist.

We did a lot of research before we chose Easton BJJ based on its wonderful reviews. We're writing…read morethis to add yet another one! Our boy is initially shy with kids he doesn't know. Frankly, he used to be scared to try new things, too. We realized that he stood to benefit from martial arts training in so many ways: In addition to stepping out of his comfort zone and taking chances, he could get good exercise and learn to defend himself. He gets all of that and so much more at Easton BJJ. It sounds cliché, but EVERYONE who works at Easton is warm, inviting, inclusive and supportive. We worked with Coach Daniel to set up our first class. Despite the most amazing efforts by him, Professor Nick, and Coach Tala, he was too scared to get onto the mat and participate in the class. We anticipated this and allowed him to just observe since it was the first time he had seen the class. It took some coaxing, but we got him back to Easton for a second class. The incredible coaches kept trying to get him comfortable and buddy up with him, but without pressure. He cried. A lot. By his third or fourth class, he loved Jiu Jitsu and wanted to know how soon he could come back. Now we come to class at least twice a week. Our son works hard, spars with lots of different partners (some of whom are bigger than he is,) and actively engages with his teammates and coaches. He is proud to earn stripes because of his dedication and progress. His personal growth outside of the gym in just a few months was remarkable. His confidence, his ability to focus, his respect for himself and others, and his willingness to try new things have all grown at an amazing pace. These traits come from what happens on the mat, and they are shaping his character. And I know that if/when he gets into a physical confrontation, he will be confident, get on top of his opponent, and stay on top! Classes are fun, and the coaches ensure that the kids work hard and grow. The kids learn moves and spar, but there is a lot of emphasis on principles. Weekly mat-chat is a discussion that install important values like respect, sportsmanship, and emotions. At this point, Easton BJJ is very much a part of our kid's identity. He loves it so much that we had his 6th birthday party there and all of the kids had a blast. Many thanks to Coach Teddy for leading an incredible party filled with games, fun, and learning! Lastly, what really makes Easton BJJ is the people. Professor Nick, Coach Daniel, Coach Alisha, Coach Chris, Coach Teddy and Coach Taylor are so good at what they do, and our guy loves them! Each of them knows every kid by name and skill level. The individual attention and support they give kids who need it is heart-warming, and it WORKS! They help kids who get a little bruise or are having a bad day stay on the mat and get back into class. They not only know Jiu Jitsu, they know children, too. We simply cannot thank you enough for providing a safe, fun, and exciting environment for our kid to learn and develop. What the amazing coaches and staff have built at Easton BJJ is hard to describe, but I encourage you to try it--you will love what they're doing there, and so will your kid!

If I could give them 0 starts I would. They are WAY overpriced for one. I highly regret ever…read moregetting involved with this business. The couple times my son went he was very unimpressed. He only went a second time because I made him. He never went again yet they charged me $229 for a "membership" that I never agreed too! I would highly suggest everyone stay away from this business. The training is meh and the treatment of their customers is even worse. Shame on Easton Training Center. Do better!

They are very much loving and truly care about each person, from the families that support their athletes to each and every athlete in their club. I am truly grateful for all the coaches and trainers and Katharo. They have helped my sons fighting game tremendously! My son has grown from an overweight child, to a young teenager who is getting physically fit and stronger each day in his game. There is definitely a thanks in order for all the coaches at Katharo and all the staff as well. Each person that has a position to help make Katharo run, is the reason my son has improved and a reason we have stayed. There has never seemed to be a ego from anyone. If there ever has been, they did not stay long, because they did not fit in with the Katharo environment. Which is another HUGE reason for my sons growth. My son has huge aspirations in the fighting world and Katharo definitely is having an impact on him achieving a solid foundation and learning what real Martial Arts are supposed to be. There is also a great population of non competitive students just trying to have fun and improve their lives through the beautiful art of Jiu Jitsu. I wrote the book, Inner Jiu Jitsu, and am super grateful to be able to train here alongside such powerful adepts. I've seen many people of all ages, sizes, and shapes come through these doors, get in shape, and change their lives for the better. They help beginners develop skills to progress their jiu-jitsu and offer the more seasoned practitioner a competitive match. There's a great atmosphere of camaraderie among students, led by head coaches Ben and Charlee. Both head coaches have distinct pedigrees of competition, Coach Charlee was a member of the Olympic Judo team and offers basic to advanced Judo instruction in adult and kids classes. Coach Ben has great grappling experience, as a former MMA fighter he combines Judo, wrestling and jiu-jitsu techniques to provide students with a well rounded grappling game. The kids classes are also led by Coach Charlee and Ben with assistance of upper belts from the adult class. Kids classes are great for developing a child's confidence, discipline and mobility. The gym setting is well lit and set on a floating floor to help aid with throws. The mats and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned after each class. Most of the adults who train here have their children train here too. This creates a fun, family atmosphere for everyone as we get to watch our kids grow, befriend and compete with one another. For me, it has become less a gym and more a tribe. Come find out what you've been missing and join The Sanctuary!

Judo is a growing Olympic sport and Gracie Judo is the best dojo to learn this martial art from. This club welcomes anybody regardless of their age (as seen with the youth classes and adult classes) and regardless of anyone's prior experience in any martial art. Led by Sensei Grace Jividen, she brings her expertise and passion for the sport. She provides the perfect balance of skill building on the mat and off the mat, because while the club cares about developing anyone's skillset on the mat, what really makes the club stand out is the community as a whole as far as a fun atmosphere and people care about one another. In addition to Grace, there are other senseis that bring their expertise and passion for the sport as well, including Sensei Joe, Sensei Tommy, and Sensei Jerry. The environment is competitive yet fun. Judo is a sport that involves hard work and dedication--something that the senseis do day in and day out for the students and the student's families. Whether a white belt is going for their yellow belt or a green belt is going for their brown belt, the tests are hard work (knowing the throws by name and physically demonstrating the throws), but the senseis support the students and celebrate with you once you earn your new belt color. In addition, the cost is not too much and all of the money goes to the end of the year parties that take place around Christmas time where the community celebrates as a whole for their work and accomplishments/achievements on the mat and off the mat. I wish Gracie Judo all the best and I love the impact the positive impacts that they have made on my life as well as I love the bonds that I have made with this community throughout the years.
