He must have had the time of his life. The next week I dropped him off for a stay while I was on a work trip. I saw him running around every day on the cameras and it looked like he was having a blast even though he was by far the smallest dog of the bunch. After I picked him up he's like a whole new, even better dog. He was always sweet, friendly, and cuddly, but leery of other people and dogs - just shy. Now he's so well socialized he isn't phased by others. I won't hesitate to bring him back for a play day or an overnight stay. Loved getting my digital pupdate, although I was irritated the buggy Gingr app downloaded the same photo like 10 times when I tried to download them all. I felt like the staff was caring and communicative. They did a great job on his nail trim and he came home smelling great.

I took Morgan to see where he would be staying and to meet Deana the day before (I had recently found her business by searching online and was also meeting her for the first time), and both she and her husband were very personable and friendly and it was obvious that they themselves were loving and gentle pet owners. They also introduced their furbabies to Morgan and it was nice to see they all got along well. It was very comforting to know that Morgan would be sleeping in a living room on a carpet with human and four-legged friends and not in some metal or concrete cage with other anxious dogs missing their owners stressing out in an adjoining cage (pretty much the conditions of other local "kennels"). It was also nice to know they had a fenced-in backyard (with a small kiddie pool that Morgan enjoyed wading in) and so he would not be in danger from passing traffic when going outside. This whole ordeal has been a huge frustration and cost a lot of money. When we called, we explained that we were making our reservation explicitly because he had fleas. They never told us there would be an additional $20 charge. Then, on the day of pickup, we called early asking if we might be able to pick him up at 11 am instead of 8. They said that would be fine. What they should have said was, "No problem, but just so you know, there will be an additional $60 charge to pick up after 10 am. Is that OK?" It wasn't okay. But they didn't communicate that. We would have picked him up before 10 of we knew that. Yes, we understand that there are costs associated with running a business. We run our own business. But it's not reasonable to put everything in the terms and conditions and not verbally communicate important details to your customers. It was probably just an oversight, but this experience just made our bad situation worse. We still have to board him again to treat the house a second time, and will not be going here.

Normally (when i was living CA) would take him to his vet but his here & none of them in town do grooming anymore! Friday, I got a last minute Saturday appt with *yughck* PetSmart (absolutely hate big chains would much rather use a small business) only for them to call me an hour before my 9:30AM appt to say that groomer isn't coming in & they were full for everyone else smh. I was disappointed I really need my pup groomed, he's blowing his summer coat something awful! So I called around to literally every groomer on Yelp & Google search. Not a single one would be able to take me until I reached Mandy! She happily said "I can get you in around 10!" I was ecstatic, not only was it that day, but also, I only had to wait 45 min to take him! I zipped up there & got him taken back while I filled out his paperwork. I dropped him off & got called back around 1:43, in the meantime my lack of wanting to eat due to a huge migraine had caught up with me. I was feeling so weak I could barely go in, before I could even call & meekly ask if he could be brought out to me; she was already taking him to pee before I even noticed them in front of me! I told her I didn't feel well & she let me send my card back in with her so I didn't even have to go inside Granted i know my boy is a rough one to groom as he's not cooperative, but the only thing I could suggest is a slightly more through job done, his neck under his chin was super full of shedding fur that's too thick for me to hand pick out. I lost my furminator in the move back to Kansas ! I would love for a "super shedder" add-on service to purchase just so he can be brushed out for more length of time! When the time came to let him go, West Ridge Animal Hospital was there for us with incredible compassion and care. They treated Mickey with the gentleness and respect he deserved, and they supported us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. We'll never forget the kindness they showed--not just to him, but to us as well. Mickey was so much more than a pet. He was family. He was joy, loyalty, comfort, and unconditional love. The people their are fantastic and very sincere and attentive in taking care of our "babies".
