My husband and I joked that we wished we could hire Sea Glass to manage the house we actually live in. They did a much better job maintaining the property and keeping things running smoothly than we ever could have! And their fee is so reasonable. I have owned a triplex in Brunswick for the last six months, and Kim and Diane have already helped me renovate two of the three apartments and find wonderful tenants. Kim and Diane take real pride in the apartments they manage, and it shows. They have a wide network of contractors and service people to call in when there's a problem, and they find creative solutions to all the little challenges that come up when managing an older building. Kim and Diane are also wonderful with tenants. I have been in their office when clients have come in to pay the rent, and the warmth and mutual respect was palpable. I have been especially impressed by the work they've done to support tenants in my building who have to move out due to renovations. Kim and Diane have gone well beyond the scope of their job descriptions to support tenants in finding new homes. I live thousands of miles away from my triplex, and I absolutely couldn't do it without the help of Sea Glass.

They "manage" a few rental buildings and properties in Biddeford. The maintenance team is awesome so from a tenant prospective the maintenance folks are awesome and really try and get your problem resolved and fixed as quickly as they can... Ethan is the best! As for dealing with the "property managers," you may have to take some deep breathes and just realize that their only concern is to collect your rent payment in the most shady of ways. You have to pay in cash, money order or check and physically drop it off at their office or send it through their PO Box. They never tell you where their physical office is and you can't find a valid and operating telephone number. Their "business" email addresses is @gmail.com. seriously, not even a valid company domain?! And you may end up getting your rent payment stolen if you drop it off or it does not "credited" to your account and then you end up having to scramble to find extra payments or they are real quick to start the eviction process; no questions asked. When you ask if you can pay electronically, they say they can't allow it. It's freaking 2022 and it's "too complicated" for them to just set up zelle or PayPal to get their tenants to pay?! The laundry room and machines are always out of service for one reason or another. The steps and sidewalks are often cracked and rundown. Sometimes the neighbors look like they are dealing with illegal stuff selling, promoting, etc. Again in a pinch, what you get for $1k - $1,300 for the unit isn't bad... but if you try and leave and do everything the right way including getting a professional cleaning service to come in to make sure you get your security deposit back; you won't. They reduce what they want and do not explain anything or have proof that they needed to do cleaning or fixes. Basically they just try to take your money in any way they can. They also never return phone calls or emails, and if they do you get a response back after 3 days at times and you always have to be after them. If you choose to renew your lease agreement, they never provide you with an updated agreement. They are not at all professional, no matter how small of a company you claim to be.... Being professional and giving the tenants the right paperwork and information they need for example when they need file their tax returns, like who should be listed as the landlord, etc has no limits. Every company no matter how big or small would normally provide this basic information early on and clearly upon entering into a lease agreement.

The property managers are rude, unhelpful and clearly lack experience. They refuse to take care of any issues with tenants that put others in danger. The tenant rules listed within the lease are not followed and NOT enforced. That being said, if you want an apartment where people smoke inside the building, have loud parties, liter the grounds, have the cops called and god only knows what else- this is the rental company to go to. Though the onboarding experience was rough and didn't feel the most welcoming, we persisted and found a beautiful home to rent. When we moved from onboarding to the move-in team, things improved quickly, and they were quick to accommodate an accelerated move-in date since the house was available. The rental experience after was seamless with an easy portal for payment, quick response for questions... but this is IMPORTANT part to read. On a Saturday afternoon we were running the washing machine when the septic system became overloaded and backed up. We were quick to shut off the water and ensure that the property would be safe, but Andrew at HPM took the brunt of very scared tenants, and treated us with humanity and dignity. Andrew was quick to respond and came the next day to take a look at the system. After a day of in-depth searching to find where the septic tank was and another day of waiting for the Septic company to arrive... Monday arrived and the tank was emptied. You could say that Andrew was prioritizing the property management aspect, but that's the furthest from the truth. He was patient and understanding while we called and were crude/frustrated. He took the time to gather information about what was going on, calming down us in the process, and explaining his process/method to the madness. He treated us better than we deserved in the moment, and was able to work quickly on resolving a very critical issue. Besides the onboarding experience, we have had nothing but a 110% effort put into our experience and wellbeing as tenants. We personally are grateful to Honest Property Management, and hope to stay at minimum within their property system... well hopefully indefinitely! But truly, I'd recommend anyone who's concerned about renting from HPM take those concerns, and talk to a member of the HPM team like Andrew. You won't regret it!

When we were trying to set down a time to see the home, we were told there was an open house that coming weekend. We thought this was strange since there had been no one else interested in the home. This information was given to use on a Tuesday. The following day, after trying to reach Alex again and schedule a tour of the home before the open house, we received a response with a simple "this home has been rented". Mind you there was no phone call,although it was given to him, only emails were exchanged. We are extremely disappointed in how unprofessional our interactions with Alex were. We don't understand how this was executed as we were very excited for the opportunity Alex had promised us. We do not recommend his business.
