This store has a small footprint but still manages to have a beautiful showroom. The employees have always been friendly and helpful and parking is plentiful right out front. 2023-2024 Clown show. October 2023: ordered sofa was told delivery in a month. The day it was supposed to be delivered I was told order was cancelled. Had to reorder. Promised by end of December. Delivered Feb 3, 2024. Ordered Armchairs. Supposed to delivered in November. Delivered Feb 3. Ordered 2 glass top tables. I received them on time in December but missing glass tops. Feb 3, 2024 Tables replaced but with missing glass top (again) and missing pieces. Ordered rug. Delivery promised Jan 12. Delivered Feb 3, 2024. Ordered swivel armchairs. Promised delivery by Dec 12 Delivered Feb 3,2024. I was advised to expect a delivery on Feb 3,2024 between 10:30am and 12:30pm. They arrived at 8am. We were still asleep. I've spoken to Store employees, store manager, and customer service multiple times. All very nice people, but screw-ups just don't stop. we went to the store on 10/11 to order 2 chairs for pick up in store between 10/25 to 11/2. it was in transit when we ordered the chairs we needs for holidays. they changed the status. is still in transit 11/24 to 12/3. we went just back to the store for refund and the store manager told bus she can't do it until the chairs are in store. she connected me to their customer support and he was telling me the same story. I asked to talk to a manager but the manager will not talk to me and the rep said we should wait for the chairs to arrive in store for the store to refund. interesting company policy how know how to take my business and but will not do a refund when they are clearly at fault using policy as excuse. Soooo disappointed in this store and the delivery of items. Ordered about $15,000 worth of furniture in mid August and we are still waiting for the delivery of two or three of the items. And these items are NOT specialty items. Meaning, the two items that we still have not received were not made specifically for us or made to our measurements, they are standard off the shelf items. One is a king size bed mattress and the other is a coffee table. So disappointing. I'm not really sure where the disconnect is, but I do know that I have guests coming for Christmas and I do not have a bed for them to sleep in!! Moral to the story is, if you're in any kind of rush for items, do not buy them from Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma. Or you take the risk of not having them delivered in time. While I love their home decor, I am not sure why I am never greeted by a store associate? Is it me? The fact that I am ignored by no less than four clerks each time I have come into this location amazes me. Usually the employees are talking amongst themselves, so maybe it is them and not me. Who doesn't dream of having a home full of Pottery Barn items? We had some time to kill before our movie this afternoon so we decided to do some shopping at Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn is located in the Summit Sierra Mall off of Mt Rose Hwy and Virginia. Love all of their furniture and home decorations. They have their Fall decorations out now. The store was kind of crowded today and the sales people were busy. Not sure what their policy is on offering assistance but we were not approached. It was a pleasant trip as I was not in a place to buy anything anyway. Shout out to design studio specialist Karen Wortham who gave us superior customer service yesterday. We went in for a design consult with little or no idea of what I wanted, where to start, how to add furniture to a room where we had already painted, picked carpet, etc (did it a bit out of order). Karen was so patient, polite, understanding, knowledgeable, about the products and fabrics that she made everything easy for me. I left there not only knowing what I need for my space, but dimensions, fabric choice, print out of other options, etc. I'll be back when it comes to adding lighting and other accessories! read more

I called ahead to enquire about a swivel chair that I found online and the wonderful Lady I spoke with greeted me at the door as I entered the store. Not only did I receive excellent customer service and was welcome immediately upon entering the store, in addition Sharon is super helpful and went the extra mile trying to locate the fabric I wanted. Whatever you don't order any furniture from Pottery Barn! I ordered the Tanner coffee table and the glass for the coffee table arrived on August 11. Customer service kept telling me the frame would be delivered and then every week it was postponed! I finally received the frame yesterday on September 27 and it was scratched! Now the nightmare is trying to return the table to the store. Apparently the store and online purchases don't work together. Pottery Barn has the WORST customer service and the WORST delivery system! By the way I ordered this coffee table online because when I went into the Pottery Barn store in Reno I couldn't get anyone to help me! I went in to buy some Holiday decor for my Lake House and found some of the most beautiful items. Candied Cranberry vase filler, vintage jingle bell vase filler, flameless candles and some of the most adorable reindeer. The store is well put together with tons of ideas for my home. I've been several times and never even a hello from anyone when you walk in ...and worse... no one helps you. I would buy so much more if someone would just assist. And they aren't busy... The worst customer experience dealing with this store and company. Placed custom order for dining table, chairs and sofa. After waiting for 10-12 week leadtime, chairs and sofa delivered incorrectly. My 4 pc sofa came in with 3 pieces of one fabric and the other a different fabric, my dining chairs came in with incorrect wood base. I've been getting the run around for past 2 months and still haven't got the situation resolved. The store manager, Shannon completely useless and incompetent, will avoid any contact and has not stepped in to try and drive solutions. Pottery Barn you need to dig into this situation, the customer experience is completely against your value and mission as a company. I don't know if it's a people issue, process issue or just lack of focus on customers, but your brand is getting serious damage! In agreement with the negative posts here. I've never been consistently ignored in a store like I have here. I've stopped in on different occasions over the past few years and would rather pay shipping to order online than to visit the store. So RUDE. Recently, I tried to purchase holiday pillow covers (I already own PB inserts). One sales associate in the back told me she had a few she could get me in the back or I could "just take the covers off the ones on the shelf." And she continued to stock bedding without actually going in the back. Only at Reno PB could she be seriously telling me to take apart pillows myself while I have 2 toddlers with me. Then she sent me up front for the rest of the plaid and woven covers I wanted. That was apparently not her department. So I went up front, to wait in line for another associate to help me. She removed the covers and then told me to see yet another person to ring me up. It's always such an ordeal. Just shop online. read more

So I ignore the reviews and order a $4k sectional. And sure enough the "white glove" delivery slashes the furniture with a box cutter and then proceeds to pitch the couch out of the truck vice use the lift gate. So it shows up, uh, "damaged". What does Pottery Barn do?? I get several disjointed and confused phone calls, they're going to replace it, repair it, do nothing, "we can't see any damage"... Then they settle on repair, 6-8 weeks without the two units of the sectional while they "repair" it. Not very nice employees here. I went in yesterday and bought $150+ for towels and sheets but the women ringing me up was either new or not properly trained and charged my card twice. When I called today to have them fix it I was told it was my banks fault and to call them. Once I told the other employee "no I handed her my card twice cause she said the first time it didn't go through" she said I would most likely have to come in and get a refund. I just had the worst return experience I think I've ever had. I recently spent about $500 on bedding from pottery barn and one of the blankets I purchased started to come apart at the seams so I tried to exchange it for another one. Well when u spend $100 on a blanket you expect it to be good quality. Then they told me because it was on sale I couldn't return it but they were willing to give me a in store gift card as a refund. I reached out to Tammy the manager by phone on May 27th. I explained to her that I had washed my 4 curtain panels 50 x 108 per the instructions on the curtains instead of dry cleaning due to time constraints. They had shrunk from 108 to what now looks like 96. Tammy advised me she had to talk with upper management and I would hear back from her in a couple of days. A week went by with no call back. I was in Reno the week of June 4th. and I decided to stop by the store. I immediately saw 3 employees at the front counter and asked for Tammy. They explained she was on vacation and since this complaint was already in progress and over their heads I would need to reach out the following week when she returned. I was very unhappy as I had explained from the phone call on the 27th that I had a graduation party with over 50 guests on June 15th. Instead of calling immediately on Monday June 11th, I thought I would give Tammy a few more days to get back to work with the hopes she would get back to me. I called again on June 14th and asked for Tammy. I was told she was with a customer and she would get back to me. As of today June 18th, I have still not heard from Tammy or anyone from Pottery Barn. I had purchase a quilt and duvet cover on line with my rewards certificates. The total was $177.78. I used $175.00 in my rewards certificates and put the remaining $2.78 on my Pottery Barn Card. I received the item and the color was the wrong shade of pink. I took my quilt into the PB to try to exchange with another color. They said they had to send it in and I would be credited. I checked my PB statement about a week later and I was credit for $2.78. I called PB online to find out if they had issued me a merch credit for the $175.00. They said no that they can't reissue the rewards certificates. The lady at the store in Reno did not tell me I would lose my rewards certificates. Customer service would not do anything to help me. They would not send me my quilt back or reissue my rewards of $175.00. I would have never returned the quilt if I knew this was the case. I am highly disappointed in PB and how they handled this situation. Beware shopping at the Reno store especially if you bought something online with rewards certificates and want to return it. They make take your item and never give you anything in return. read more

I have a lot of furniture and decor from Pottery Barn. I have loved the quality and customer service but recently Pottery Barn is engaging a slimy practice of charging shipping on items that are for sale on their floor. There are some items that you can purchase and get "free shipping" to the store but others do not qualify. In my particular circumstance, there is a coffee table and a console table on the floor. While the coffee table ships for free, the console table has a shipping cost escalating the price 25%. I asked the employee if it is legal to have a tag on the floor that states the price is $1099 but then charge shipping? Not only can I not purchase and take the item with me, I have to wait 3-4 weeks delivery, I also have to pay for the shipping. I think I am going to have to find a new place to shop. Brick & mortar stores are struggling to compete against online retailers, I try to shop local but they are forcing me to go elsewhere with their false price advertising. read more

I have a love - hate relationship with Pottery Barn. My house is filled with Pottery Barn furniture and decor so obviously I love the PB look. Recently I needed to buy a dresser that matched my Pottery Barn end tables. The dresser was pricy at $1,099 but I had a store credit I needed to use so I ordered the piece. Here is where the hate part of this relationship comes into play - the shipping was $259! Was it coming from the Moon I wondered? To make matters worse, they charged sales tax on both the price of the item and the shipping costs! I complained to the saleswoman at the Reno store and she said she couldn't help me. So later that day I called customer service and complained. They said they would send me a Pottery Barn gift card for $150 to make up for the ridiculously high shipping cost. After a couple of weeks I received the dresser. Everyday I'd check my mail for the $150 gift card and it never came. Sigh. I called Pottery Barn and explained the situation but they weren't much help. I told them they could come and pick up that darn dresser. They picked it up and now I'm still trying to get them to credit my account for the cost of the item. Love their stuff. Hate their shipping costs and lack of customer service. read more

Great experience by ever so helpful staff. The store however is understaffed and the wait for help can be long and grueling. The only staff member who is very rude is the women who runs the design center. She is no less short of being an uppity snob. Came in while she was waiting on a friend and she never even acknowledged me. After 45 minutes of visiting with her friend and just talking about one chair I decided to look around. Came back and she finished off and once again never acknowledged me and went to help someone else who just walked in. She had clearly seen me in all that time.
