During the Zoom consultation, multiple attorneys unexpectedly joined the call and appeared to be competing over the consultation fee. The attorney assigned to me concealed his face on camera and had an unprofessional background setup. No meaningful legal advice was provided. Instead, the discussion focused almost entirely on demanding a retainer without explaining strategy, scope, or next steps. At one point, another attorney joined the call and openly criticized the firm, stating they were "all over the place." I escalated my concerns to management and was told nothing could be done because the consultation had technically been "provided," despite no advice being given. I then paid an additional fee to speak with management, only to find that they also lacked familiarity with key family law issues and provided inaccurate information that I had to correct. I was quoted a higher retainer and told it would likely be consumed before even entering court. When I asked to speak with or interview the attorney who would handle my case before paying a retainer, I was told this was not allowed. I was informed I would have to pay first and only afterward determine whether the attorney was competent or a good fit. A broader concern is the firm's retainer structure. Clients are required to pay thousands upfront, only to see those funds quickly exhausted through billing before meaningful litigation occurs. Attorney turnover then leads to reassignment and additional charges for internal transitions that are not the client's responsibility. Trust and transparency are essential in family law matters. Based on my experience and similar feedback from other clients, I cannot recommend this firm.

As anyone knows, you speak with an attorney to determine if that attorney can represent you as well to figure out if it is a good fit for you, a potential client. I stand by post that the attorney was rude, only interested in money, and not interested in hearing about my situation. Furthermore, a company that waits 3 years to reply to a review is NOT a firm that I would want representing me and one should take that into consideration.

The judge was wondering why I hired the goofy guy to kill my case . without the attorney I may already win (I won before) . Toby messed up my case and made me lose my case in court. On top of everything, he did not refund my money and overcharged on every bill change service time from 15 minutes to 4.8 hours , billed after losing my case, he also denied all my motion for reconsideration and charged me for just reading my motion , because we paid beforehand. If you look closely, he will charge you for things that he says he will not charge . He makes many unnecessary charges. have cheated on every bill and we have proven every overcharge. Mr. Toby will go where the money is. I know this from first hand experience. At the end of the day, he cares about no one but himself and getting my hard earned money. He doesn't work hard to win my case and expects to be paid. Mr. Toby is a legal swindler or legal con artist who thinks he is above the law, which it seems he is. It's obvious that this law firm is a black hole, cheating and thieves. if he did not refund my money. I have to file a complaint to the Bar Association or the Maryland State Government.
