Although this experience happened several months ago, this review is relevant…read more A week after having a Watchman (heart) procedure, I was having cardiac arrhythmias. I was taken by ambulance to the closest emergency department, which happened to be at the Aurora Medical Center (now, HCA HealthONE Aurora), a different institution from where the Watchman procedure had been done. After the medical team cardioverted me (by medication) back to a normal sinus rhythm, I was discharged and directed to an exit sign that led me outside. I walked outside. While I waited for a ride, there was no bench to sit on. Still recovering from the Watchman procedure done the previous week, and still not feeling good after having arrhythmias and a heart rate as fast as 180 beats/minute, I had no place to sit except on the curb near the place I had been told to exit. A week later, the arrhythmias returned. Again, I was rushed to an emergency department. I begged not to be taken to the Medical Center of Aurora. Thankfully, the ambulance crew took me to a different institution. I spent the next week in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of that institution.

I came to talk about my results and solve them maybe get some pills or something to get better But I feel like she did not listen all this clinic cares about is having you as a guinea pig and having you take test after test I took a blood test and did not eat anything to be ready for my test for her to say that it was not early enough for my results to come clear all do there results in the system and all she did was give me the same test that and added some other tests that has nothing to do with my results They don't even respect your wishes in the doctors that you choose. She wants to take the same test that I already took again just waiting time and money I requested another appointment with the same doctor I saw in the beginning she ignored that and only gave me a visit to take a blood work and other exams that that I already took an extra exams and did not listen to my request of seeing the same doctor that I seen in the beginning. I requested to see same doctor I saw in beginning for my visits and she didn't even listen she just requested me to take the same blood test that I took and more test avoid this clinic at all cost

The staff made crude, underhanded comments to patients, completely unacceptable for a place that's supposed to provide care and support. Instead of focusing on patients, they seemed more interested in flirting with and impressing their coworkers. It was honestly embarrassing to watch. When a formal complaint was made to Kaiser about the doctor involved, the response was just as disappointing. Kaiser stood by the behavior and claimed it was "the best course they recommend for the time," which felt like a clear dismissal rather than accountability. It's hard to trust a healthcare provider that doesn't even treat its own employees well, let alone its patients. The whole environment felt disposable, like no one was invested in doing the job professionally. No wonder Intermountain Health has been gaining both Kaiser's patients and its employees, people naturally move toward places where care and professionalism are taken seriously. I expected far more from Kaiser Urgent Care, and what I saw instead was a serious lack of professionalism and respect.

The doctor even flagged my mothers chart. My mother was scared and very upset. As her daughter responsible for her I was scared to death. What I wasn't understanding was my mother was still fairly independent and fairly sharp cognitive. When the doctor flagged my mother's chart that's when I told my mother she was done with Kaiser. The doctor didn't want to listen to how my mother said she was feeling which I found to be disrespectful. My mother just went to her new doctor ( my doctor) not a Kaiser doctor for her annual checkup, had a cognitive evaluation and was given a clean bill of health. The doctor said cognitively she was normal for 86 years old and that one of her medications can slow the cognitive circuits a little and she was in good shape. The Kaiser doctor never said anything about this medication being able to slow the cognitive circuits a little. We both feel such a sense of relief. I feel I saved her level of independence and quality of life she has.

I've been a Kaiser Permanente member since birth and generally have had positive experiences, but…read moremy recent visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For the past few days, I've been dealing with typical viral cold symptoms that escalated to include a persistent cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, throat irritation, nasal congestion, bloody discharge, and a severe headache that turned into a migraine. Concerned about these symptoms, I tested twice for COVID-19--both negative. After my chest pain worsened, my friends and family urged me to seek urgent care. At urgent care, I explained my symptoms and received a strep, flu, and another COVID test--again, all negative. Despite feeling like there might be an underlying issue causing my symptoms to worsen, I was given a breathing treatment, prescribed an inhaler, and sent on my way, feeling like I had wasted both time and money. After following the care plan to the letter with no improvement, I made an appointment to see my Primary Care Physician (PCP). Instead, I was met by a nurse, Ms. Roberta Owens, at the East Denver Clinic on August 26th. I arrived slightly late, feeling absolutely miserable, and received a call while checking in, warning that my appointment would be canceled if I didn't check in within 10 minutes of the scheduled time. Already struggling to speak due to my symptoms, this added stress was not helpful. Ms. Owens quickly took my vitals and started asking pre-questions. From the start, our exchange felt defensive and combative. I was coughing so severely that it interrupted my speech, yet she continued to push the conversation. There were no tissues in the exam room when I asked for one, adding to my discomfort. I expressed my main concerns--particularly the intense sinus pressure and headaches--and suggested that I might need a referral to an ENT specialist. Instead, she ordered a chest X-ray, which unsurprisingly came back clear. Back in the exam room, Ms. Owens reiterated that what I had was likely just a cold, dismissing my concerns. While I understand that sometimes immediate medical remedies aren't possible, compassion and kindness can go a long way. Unfortunately, Ms. Owens seemed dismissive and didn't listen to understand my concerns. Her demeanor left me feeling emotionally drained on top of already feeling physically unwell. This experience was a stark contrast to the quality of care I've come to expect from Kaiser. I hope that future interactions will be more attentive and empathetic.

Between wait times and billing issues- go somewhere else…read more They rarely run on time, even though you are required to arrive 30 min before your appt, it regularly takes them up to an hour after your appt time to actually see you. Late last year I waited over 2 hours past my appt time to be seen, as the office had an extended closure over lunch for an all hands meeting that they did not notify their patients of...by the time they arrived back the waiting room was full, and it took forever for them to work through all the people that had arrived for appts while they were at their all hands. This place almost never gets things coded correctly to bill to insurance. They ask you to sign one set of paperwork before you arrive that explains "surprise billing" and notes if they are in network, then when you arrive they give you different sets of paper that are vague in terms of what they will bill and don't acknowledge if they are in network. They will verbally tell you if your insurance is expected to cover but won't put that in writing and you must sign a waiver that you will pay all costs. They also ask that you sign another "surprise medical bills form" to protect them in case your insurance is no longer in network. They will tell you this is their process and their lawyers require it. When they code something incorrectly or bill twice for the exact same service it takes many phone calls to resolve as they provide codes to a different dept at the hospital and the billing people don't regularly talk to the people who provide the codes.

The front desk is so sweet, very nice and welcoming. A dreadful process, but the techs and nurses made my experience comfortable and easy. Since I used to be an advanced tech at UCH ED and Gen Surge, I knew I was in good hands. You will be too! The mammogram and ultrasound didn't take long, I won't lie though, it's a little uncomfortable and a bit painful. But, in the end... it's so worth it! The Breast Center is on the 3rd floor in the outpatient building, there's plenty of self parking and or complimentary valet. The department has its own wing, huge with lockers and private changing rooms. Before they start with your mammo, they will explain the difference between 2D and 3D imaging. Some PPO insurance will cover the 3D and some does not. It's best to ask your insurance provider before hand. The best part, you'll find out the results right there shortly after your ultrasound sound! Which is pretty amazing!!! There are doctors working to check your images before you are discharge. :) I got my go for an Augmentation, no abnormalities and or swollen lymph nodes! Woo!! I highly recommend them!
